The staff have always been friendly, compassionate, and communicative. My son was in classroom 101 with Miss Julie and Miss Vichiny. He absolutely adored attending classes. And the teachers were so caring, they even came to see him act in a non-school sponsored play. Most importantly, my son was never, ever made to feel he's scholastically behind or socially problematic because of his larger-than-average emotions. (We left a previous private school for this reason.) Second most importantly, he was taught to read children's books and do impressive pre-k arithmetic! I still get a thrill watching him sound out words! Most children are not taught to read until at least the first grade. Challenger is unique and way ahead of the curve in this way. It's such an educational gem in Las Vegas - I wish I could tell more parents about it! The tuition is more than worth it. We also love how Challenger isn't afraid to shake up routines and get creative with the kids. They changed their policies to only require uniforms Mondays and Tuesdays. This was good for my son because - with his anxiety - he can get a little too attached to certain habits and structure. This forced him to be more flexible and go-with-the-flow, even if it was only regarding his school clothes. Unfortunately, we did have to pull our son out a couple months early because my husband and I both got laid off from our jobs at the same time. That said, it was the best introduction we could have ever given him to education. He'll be miles ahead of the other kids he's going to be attending public school with in the fall. Hot tip for you ultra frugal parents: Check local swap, sell, and exchange apps for other families selling their used Challenger uniforms. It can save you bundles of money!

Ms. Fara is one of the greatest of all time. She loves those kids like her own, and knows how to get the most out of them in the classroom. The principal, Mrs. Drake, goes by "grandma'' by most of the students. She was so sweet that she gave her personal cell number out so that parents could message her directly if they needed anything. The first day, I was so sad seeing her go into the school. Mrs. Drake texted me a picture of her out on the playground and assured me that she was doing great. Her teacher was also a God sent...our daughter still talks about her to this day. Their curriculum is in line with our religious beliefs and they go above and beyond with the care they take with their students. I wish we could have stayed their longer.

The school has a lot of bullying issues and doesn't have a proper way to resolve them. Their method is to give "lunch detention for a few days" including the child who gets bullied. "To be fair". What is that teaching our children? To me that is absolutely absurd! If my child feels the need to defend themselves, why should they be punished? My child received death threats from other students and has attempted to push off other students, and yet gets punishment. My child doesn't feel they are able to speak up, and feels discriminated. "Mommy, why am I the only one getting in trouble?". A child should not feel this way at a place of learning and what is deemed as "safe". I am not the only parent who feels this way as I have asked others about their impression of Tony Alamo. My child did not dislike attending school until we ended up with this one UNFORTUNATELY. It was slightly frustrating, but once in, it's a wonderful place. Teachers are incredible and kind, communicative and supportive. I've decided that the idea of a successful education is all about the cooperation and coordination and commitment of parents and teachers. Communication is key and knowing the difference between academia and childcare is key. Doral is not the latter. It requires input and involvement. When this is done well, I feel like the kids win. Administration is bomb. Teachers are first-rate. The facilities are great, despite its smaller footprint. Love this school.
