Very responsive the day after Christmas. Thorough write up and communication of the problem and able to complete a same day fix.

We don't believe this company is trust worthy as we've had more issues in 4 years with what was supposed to be a brand new HVAC unit than we've ever had with our 30yr old unit. In less than 9 months they've had to come out twice to "service" our unit, meanwhile, they withheld our pin # in order for us to do it ourselves, claiming the system reverts to factory settings without us touching anything. We shouldn't have to contact them whenever the seasons change in order to go from heat to cool or cool to heat. They installed a faulty unit and have continued to charge us for service calls and "repairs" that are not covered under any warranty. As the customer we put our trust in the experts of their trade but the lack of respect and the blatant deceit raises a number of red flags for us to continue to call on Clark or recommend them to anyone. read more

My outside unit started acting up so I called Clark, who had installed my unit, so the man came out on Monday. When we removed the cover both him and myself knew there was a leak somewhere in the outside unit. So he recommended putting refrigerant in the unit at $88 a pound. I said not until we know what's leaking, so I asked if he could go ahead and locate the leak. He said this was a service call and would have to check with the office and see if he could make it a leak detection call, long story short, I had to pay $85 to have him return the next day and $195 to locate the leak. The part was covered under warranty, but we would have to pay Labor and for the refrigerant. So I was told that the total for the repair would be $1380, $384 for labor and $996 for the refrigerant. I asked if we could use refrigerant that I could purchase cheaper from the same place they buy theirs and that would have lowered my cost to $585, $384 labor and $131 for refrigerant. Trying to save my family money, I was told he had to charge me that price and it was a liability to use a factory sealed container of refrigerant purchased from the same place they buy it from, I understand that it cost money to run a business and that what they buy things for there is a mark up to cover cost for a business but I figure the markup is somewhere around 400-600%. So needless to say I did not and will not call a large company like this ever again to repair HVAC things at my house there are plenty of small guys out there that aren't looking at making so much profit on every job and make it reasonably priced and affordable for the average working man. read more

great service - professional - was only company out of 4 estimates that sat down with us and explained what we needed and why - all the others gave us written estimates and did not take the time to explain it - so far have been very impressed new system installed within a few days of accepting estimate and all services provided as agreed. read more

I called Clark heating and air to get a free quote on a new HVAC system. Our unit had quit working. I was happy that they came the same day that I called. Upon their arrival I was asked if I wanted it fixed or if I just wanted an estimate. I said I wanted an estimate on a new one since I was already told by another company in the spring that it probably wouldn't make it through the summer. He said that estimate was free, but if they had to really get into a lot with the system to figure out the repairs it would be a $65 service call charge. I expressed that I wanted an estimate for sure but if he thought it was an easy or cheaper fix then let me know. I knew we had a small coil leak already. I was informed that it was low on coolant and I was given an estimate. The estimate was competitive and straight forward. Then after the referral I was handed a $65.00 service call fee.......for him to tell me that I was low on coolant. I paid it, but I will NOT be buying a new HVAC from this company nor will I ECER recommend them. Very, very few times have I ever felt cheated or taken advantage of, but I definitely did in the case. I paid the money. When I had another company come out for the quote they said that checking on that took the strenuous act of them just using their gauge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company and I hope this review keeps other woman from getting taken advantage of monetarily. I essentially paid THEM to drive out and give me a quote. read more
