They take time to ask and answer questions about the animal's health, care, and behavior. Treatment is as noninvasive as possible. I have been through the hardest of all times at this facility when it came time to let our 16yr old American Eskimo Dog, Charlie go. The staff made a heartbreaking scenario much less painful, both for me and for Charlie by putting us in a quiet back room. They encouraged me to sit on the floor with Charlie on my lap for a time, so I could say goodbye. When I was ready, they came in and administered the drug to Charlie right there on the floor with us, which kept Charlie calm. The whole experience could not have been any better. Charlie's remains were treated with respect and I received his ashes in a lovely wooden box accompanied by a small clipping of his fur and his paw prints. This was hard to share, but its important for folks to know how the hospital staff at Cornerstone treats you and your precious pet at the most difficult time in their lives.

So this vet hospital doesn't have a fancy entrance, nor does the inside have pretty upgrades that will automatically feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What this place may lack in pretty upgrades it makes up for in quality staff and incredible above and beyond love and care for animals. It is well equipped with the medical equipment needed to care for your pet. Ga area and now we have retired here. I met Dr. Kinsey when I purchased my horses and he was the only vet in this area that would travel to where the horses were at and do a pre-purchase check up. I had an issue with a horse last year , hoof issue. He again responded quickly and provided me with medication and treatment needed daily twice a day. Now we have sold all our horses. We are full time residents in Young Harris now and we will use him for our 3 dogs, German Shepherd, A Chowski, Husky-Chow mix and our older Terrier . The front desk staff greet your pet by name (and usually with a hug or scratch on the back!), the vet techs are super friendly and patient with the animals, and Dr. Eddleman's quality of service cannot be beat. One thing that stands out about Dr. Eddleman's service is that she isn't going to just shove a pill down your pet's throat or immediately suggest surgery - we've all been to vets who like to "pad the bill" by suggesting costly meds or surgeries right off the bat. Dr. Eddleman takes a different approach; she actually prefers to go the less-invasive (and less costly) route of changing diet or adding an herbal supplement to the pet's daily routine, and only prescribes medicine or surgery when it is absolutely necessary. I appreciate that approach since I have multiple pets! And whatever Dr. Eddleman recommends for your pet is right there in the office; they keep a fantastic stock of herbal supplements, toys, flea/tick treatments, medications, and an extensive variety of food for a wide range of dietary needs. We were scheduled quickly, and the cost was much lower than our previous vet in another state! We've been very happy with the care our pets receive here. They didn't push us to this route right away, but let us know our choices and were ready to help when we were ready to pursue this path. I've got a dog with lameness now and when things didn't improve after first visit they got us in for more discussion/x-rays and walked me through our options going forward.
