The office staff is very friendly and on top of their game booking timely appointments, filling medication refills, and consulting one of the Vets on patient questions and getting back with their customers quickly. Their efficiency reduces wait times for nervous pets. The Vets and their assistants are very personable and wonderful with their furry patients. They take time to ask and answer questions about the animal's health, care, and behavior. Treatment is as noninvasive as possible. I have been through the hardest of all times at this facility when it came time to let our 16yr old American Eskimo Dog, Charlie go. The staff made a heartbreaking scenario much less painful, both for me and for Charlie by putting us in a quiet back room. They encouraged me to sit on the floor with Charlie on my lap for a time, so I could say goodbye. When I was ready, they came in and administered the drug to Charlie right there on the floor with us, which kept Charlie calm. The whole experience could not have been any better. Charlie's remains were treated with respect and I received his ashes in a lovely wooden box accompanied by a small clipping of his fur and his paw prints. This was hard to share, but its important for folks to know how the hospital staff at Cornerstone treats you and your precious pet at the most difficult time in their lives.

Some of the most fantastic food can be eaten in restaurants that are rundown and look mighty questionable on the outside. You know the ones. The ones that make you go ummmm no BUT your friend told you just how incredible the food really was! So this vet hospital doesn't have a fancy entrance, nor does the inside have pretty upgrades that will automatically feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What this place may lack in pretty upgrades it makes up for in quality staff and incredible above and beyond love and care for animals. It is well equipped with the medical equipment needed to care for your pet. My Annabel Lee (rescue dog with anxiety issues) walks into that building with only a tad of nervous feeling and if you had any idea how huge that was ... you'd ignore all possible cosmetic disappointments because Cornelia Veterinary Hospital .. total gem.

I had an issue with a horse last year , hoof issue. He again responded quickly and provided me with medication and treatment needed daily twice a day. Now we have sold all our horses. We are full time residents in Young Harris now and we will use him for our 3 dogs, German Shepherd, A Chowski, Husky-Chow mix and our older Terrier . He's efficient, knowledgeable and just a all around great vet.

It's…read morebasically the "one stop shop" for all of your pets' needs, handling everything from a minor illness or injury to major surgery or even pet emergencies; they have a fantastic groomer, they have very nice kennel facilities for boarding. The front desk staff greet your pet by name (and usually with a hug or scratch on the back!), the vet techs are super friendly and patient with the animals, and Dr. Eddleman's quality of service cannot be beat. One thing that stands out about Dr. Eddleman's service is that she isn't going to just shove a pill down your pet's throat or immediately suggest surgery - we've all been to vets who like to "pad the bill" by suggesting costly meds or surgeries right off the bat. Dr. Eddleman takes a different approach; she actually prefers to go the less-invasive (and less costly) route of changing diet or adding an herbal supplement to the pet's daily routine, and only prescribes medicine or surgery when it is absolutely necessary. I appreciate that approach since I have multiple pets! And whatever Dr. Eddleman recommends for your pet is right there in the office; they keep a fantastic stock of herbal supplements, toys, flea/tick treatments, medications, and an extensive variety of food for a wide range of dietary needs. Another thing I love about Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital is that the facility is brand spanking new, so everything is "state of the art". And it's obvious the staff keep everything super clean and shiny throughout the day; I have never seen a vet office with such clean, fur-free floors, windows, and kennel facilities! The staff clearly care about keeping the hospital sanitized. If you're in the Cleveland, Helen, Sautee Nacoochee, Clarkesville, or Dahlonega area and you're looking for someone who will give your pets the best care available, your search is over - it's Dr. Eddleman and the amazing staff at Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital in Cleveland, GA.

Our 11 week old puppy got a shot in her leg that hurt her so bad she cried and yelped in pain and could not walk. After the shot the vet recommended a warm compress on the thigh but the puppy would not allow this; so we needed pain medication. We called (same day) and there was no answer on the phone at 4pm, so we rode back up there for pain medicine and they were closed with a paper closed sign on the door. Very upset & disappointed.

We were scheduled quickly, and the cost was much lower than our previous vet in another state! We've been very happy with the care our pets receive here. I have one dog with a severe allergy issue and they worked with us to help him feel better, eventually getting testing and on allergy drops. They didn't push us to this route right away, but let us know our choices and were ready to help when we were ready to pursue this path. I've got a dog with lameness now and when things didn't improve after first visit they got us in for more discussion/x-rays and walked me through our options going forward. Even offered to refer us to specialists. The staff love on my dogs, and my dogs love going to see them. We have been pleased with the care. Prices have jumped in the last 2 years, but they have been good about waiving things(like the extra x-rays) or suggesting where to get products cheaper. We(and our dogs) love Cleveland Veterinary Hospital!
