Please bring a Clark's Market to the Denver area, preferably Littleton or Golden! We were staying in a condo across the street, so we popped in to Clark's to get some bottled water and were very impressed with all the offerings. We made a few visits to the store during our four-day stay, including for morning coffee, breakfast, and lunch. All the employees we encountered were super friendly and helpful. Although I think the team in the deli could use a little training. We ordered one of the sandwiches off the menu for lunch one day, and one of the workers seemed very unconfident making it. We enjoyed the hot breakfast as well and made a few visits to the coffee bar, which offers excellent lattes. Very friendly neighborhood store. There are also tables outside where you can eat your prepared food. Grabbing some coffee and food items here saved us a good deal of money instead of eating out every meal of the trip. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT get a sandwich or meat or anything from the deli. The kids (literally maybe 18-21) behind the counter are probably violating every sanitation code for stores. I dropped in to get a sandwich today and my first shock was seeing the behind-the-counter kid helping me touch everything with the gloves that he was going to use to make my sandwich: his face, his pockets, a pen, a clipboard, a scale. I asked him to change his gloves. He did. Then he proceeded to set the clipboard down on the sandwich making cutting board, run his newly gloved hand across the paper, grab a pen, and touch a dirty wall on his way to get the meat. The best was yet to come. He grabs the ham, and goes to the meat slicer, already with some salami on it, sets the ham down on the side of the counter where there is roast beef that had been sitting there since I walked up, removes the salami and sets that aside on another counter. And here is the worst part. He disappears into the back, brings out a literal small bucket of water, pulls out a dirty cloth from it that's been used for who knows what, wrings the water out back into the bucket, then uses the cloth to wipe off the meat slicer where he then sets down the ham.... he then throws the filthy rag back into the bucket--presumably to be used again... wherever else it's needed. At that point, I said, "changed my mind" & walked away. If you want to get sick, get your lunch here. read more

Not sure why this place has a low rating. The prices were very much along the lines of an average Safeway in the Bay Area or LA so I don't find them to be too expensive. I was impressed by the large variety of foods they carry and lots of prepared food options too like sushi, sandwiches, hot pizza. Staff at the cashier were very friendly and pleasant. Very much affordable to buy groceries here compared to eating at the restaurants on Main st. They also have a coffee bar that has muffins and croissants. For a market in a quaint and pretentious ski town in remote Colorado, you're going to pay more for your groceries. We usually drive in with a lot of shelf stable stuff for our AirBnb and just hit up Clarks or the market in Mountain Village for the fresh stuff and extras. This place is spacious and packs a lot in small square footage. The produce isn't as expensive as it could be-- bananas $.79/lb and $.99/lb for organic. I was able to grab some taco meat, taco seasoning, a container of bakery cookies, a bunch of bananas, and 2 blocks of cheese for just under $20. It's way cheaper than eating in town and sometimes you just want to eat tacos at the condo and not go out, you know? It's my favorite market of the options in Telluride and they have a spacious parking lot with free 1-hr parking. Located just at the beginning of town. read more

So I'm from out of Town, but my assumption that when you're waiting in line for a coffee and a doughnut, one of the two employees working behind the coffee and donut counter will acknowledge your presence barely 4 feet away. This did not happen, young ladies name was Claire, she didn't acknowledge me, didn't ask me anything, in the seven minutes from 257 to 304 that I was standing in front of her. All employee did not acknowledge or welcome me at all standing 4 feet away. I tried to get their attention several times, saying hi, hello, could I get a coffee, even asked another employee is this where I order a coffee and donut? Their reply was yes, it's awesome coffee and donuts are fresh. Still nothing from Claire or the gentleman. The kicker is that another employee came from another section of the store, cut right in front of me with a question about a price gun, Claire was all too happy to help and this made me say excuse me can I get some help? First time she made eye contact with me, then subsequently after being done helping the employee paid no attention to me and instead started a conversation with the gentleman about their weekend plans. It was my hope after my seven days out camping that I could get a cuppa coffee and a doughnut. But it seems like the young lady, Claire, I believe named, blonde 5 foot 8 Working July 7 around 3 PM would be slightly more concerned about her customers instead of her upcoming plans. read more

In my opinion thee best market I've ever shop at because it's simple but complete, easy to navigate from produce to pharmacy. This store has everything any Whole Food to Sprouts stores has and done it better. Their own version of Starbucks, and very popular for locals. Looking for gourmet prepared food even brick oven pizza to enjoying while picnicking or well made to order sandwich on your hike to waterfall,they got it! We needed some dinner and thought we'd make it super simple by grabbing pre-made stuff from Clark's -big mistake. The containers on one of our dishes (mashed potatoes) had dirt inside. If you are from out of town looking for supplies I would definitely go to Clark's. I was way more impressed with their selection of everything. I had a chance to spend some time in Telluride this summer and so have visited this grocery store again. It seems better to me in terms of the organic selection than it did last year. Most of the focus is still on conventional foods, but at least I was able to find pretty much everything that I wanted or needed without having to resort to ordering from Vitacost or driving to Montrose. The prices are a little high, but certainly not higher than I would expect to pay in Telluride. Since I was here during the summer, I would have liked to have seen more local produce. This store basically has everything you need. It even has a great salad bar! But beware. Not sure if the checkout staff think they're privileged to be a cashier at this store or what their problem is. Went in 3 times in one day (just there on travel and people needed different items at different times) and each time, a different female cashier was rude, unfriendly and didn't even greet, smile or say a word except for the total. Didn't expect to be treated royally, but the eye rolls could have been left out. Try a smile or even a "hello". There aren't many choices in this town to go to get groceries or basic needs so don't expect to be treated decently while you're in there. read more

We stayed at the Cimarron Lodge which was only a few minutes walking distance to Clark's Market. Wish I discovered sooner in our trip, their incredible and healthy juices and smoothies - all healthy natural ingredients - and very good croissants! Service - ok - she didn't seem very happy to be there, but worth the wait as the "Soother" juice (apple, celery, spinach, kale and lemon) was delicious! This market has everything you could need to stock your vacation rental. Their produce was great, extensive meat selection, bakery, etc. They had all of the normal products we use at home in Denver, as well as many gluten free products (to my surprise!). The prices were also very similar to those back in Denver, maybe just a tad bit higher. Knowing now that Clark's Market is so well stocked, I will be at ease for our future vacations in Telluride. read more

Due to the fact that there aren't many other choices to go shopping around Telluride, Clark's does mark up their prices. Also good to know that they do not sell alcoholic beverages. Rude manager and employees! Extremely high prices. They may think that they have no competition, but they're dead wrong. Every time I make the trip to City Market or Walmart in Montrose, it seems I see half the town of Telluride there loading up on groceries. I also see people on social media organizing ride shares to and from Montrose for shopping. While in Montrose it's fun to get fastfood like McDonalds, Wendy's, burger king, etc. There are also restaurant changes like chili's and applebees. All these choices take business away from Telluride restaurants. Clark's management definitely has the wrong mindset especially taking into consideration the two long off-seasons that they must endure without tourism business. I cannot recommend Clark's to anyone. They don't deserve your business. Stay away! read more

I was at Clark's twice early in the week when I was on vacation for ten days. I bought protein powder, a blender, and some misc. groceries. Their protein powder selection is second to none for a place of any size, let alone one of 2k people. If you are into healthy and organic, they have it. I returned the blender yesterday because it was underpowered. Nancy, the store manager, was empathetic and incredibly nice. She returned the blender and was incredibly helpful in returning the blender. I needed some help finding a UPS dropbox and Nancy emailed them to me, gave me tape for my box, and printed my label for me. What a generous and friendly gesture. I could go on and one about how amazing Nancy or Clark's is but I don't need to so don't hesitate to give them your business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

I love this place for quite a few reasons.... 1. It's close to where we stay. 2. It has normal grocery store prices. 3. Great selection of meats for the grill along with fresh fruit and veggies. 4. The deli in the back makes AWESOME sandwiches and soup. I love coming in here and grabbing a sandwich from the deli. I eat half of it on the lift over the mountain and throw the other half in my backpack for a little snack later. GRUB!!! read more

Hi I am a regular client of this store. Everybody is really kind every time I go but, once in a while I get bagels and stuff like that. There is a guy that whenever he sees me he will give me a really bad look I'm not sure if he has something against me? Because ever since the first time I went he was super rude. And what I noticed is that to other people he will be as polite as he can. I don't even know the guy at all and I don't know why he acts towards me like that.
