We had a nice night out with our friends and their kids here. I have been here a few times before. It is such a nice different spot compared to a lot of the places near it. We had a bunch of things but with 4 adults and 4 kids at a table, we were trying to keep up with them and not as easy to take pictures. The wait staff here was so great and accommodating with us and the kids. I ordered the Pineapple Hibiscus Cider. I am not a big cider person but this was absolutely delicious. It might be my new favorite cider especially when summer rolls around. I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was so good! It came with sweet potato fries which really stole the show for me. They had good flavor and went perfectly with the sandwich. My wife also got one of the pizzas which looked really great too! This place was so exciting when it first opened - good food, fun cider, great atmosphere.... It was impossible to get a reservation. Now, I understand it's the middle of winter but there were empty seats everywhere on a Saturday night. I know why. They no longer have food specials Their pizzas are smaller than they used to be. They now charge $3 for a size of French fries that they used to have as the regular side option The food we had yesterday was... Eh. My husband got the Reuben and it was hands down the worst Reuben we've had in years. The meat was dry, the sauerkraut was dry and the thousand island dressing was non-existent. Horrible! My Diavolo pizza was okay... The flavor was good and the toppings were evenly placed but it was soggy. Like a pool of grease underneath it. It's a brick-oven pizza! How?!? Plus soooo small for a $20 pizza. I do like their cider and idk ... Maybe they raised prices and lowered quality just in the winter to try to make it by? Some friends from work and I came here after work on a Friday around 12:30pm. We sat outside and it was the perfect day. Ed, the server, was marvelous and one of the best people I have experienced in a long time while dining out. He was friendly, accommodating, and treated us like friends. I ordered two different ciders; the dry one and the pink boots. Both were good in different ways. There are more ciders I need to try. We split a gf BBQ chicken pizza, and it was stellar. I had the gf turkey club and it was also so delicious. The gf bread did not taste gf. The fries were incredible and came with two different dipping sauces. It was a nice and relaxed vibe and there weren't that many people around so we could hang out as long as we wanted. It was an enjoyable experience and I can't wait to get back there before the summer is over. read more

Came here with large party of friends & family and everyone was impressed with this establishment. First off, the interior & layout is open & airy from the very high ceilings and floor to ceiling glass windows/doors. The food was good & so was the service. Saving the best for last - the cider & cocktails were great! We stopped here on our way home from Buffalo. The place is big and has plenty of seating. Lots of families which was nice. The host and server were both very friendly. Food was okay. We had a margarita pizza, which was definitely different than we expected. They had fresh tomato's on the pizza. The crust was nice and fluffy. The poutine was delicious, a little salty, but I guess that is to be expected. We did share a flight of cider. I really liked the Granny Smith cider, but wasn't a huge fan of the others we tried. Finally got here - it's been on my radar since they announced their opening . At first glance -this place is classy . Love the patio . Lucked out on a Saturday and got one of the last seats on it . Since I haven't tried their cider yet , I opted for a flight - but at $18 for a flight of 4 it made me cringe a bit . I think that was the most expensive flight I've ever purchased . My favorite of the four ciders was the Pink Boots cherry blossom (so much flavor!) I was a bit hungry so I opted for a side of their Mac and cheese and a side of Mexican street corn . Lots of creamy garlic flavor in the Mac and cheese and a decent portion too. The corn was good but would have been better if it was grilled corn and not the usual frozen variety with Cojita cheese and herbs. Our server was nice and pleasant . I will most likely come back again because the atmosphere is pleasant, not for a flight but maybe for a pint of Pink Boots with some of my favorite people to share the evening with . read more

It's only the second week open for Clarksburg, so it's tough to say how it's going to progress, but so far, it's a great start. The place has a bright and airy atmosphere with garage doors that open the dining room and bar area to the outdoors, and a large patio area, a balcony dining area, and a grassy area with yard games such as corn hole. They have a menu of specialty cocktails, each containing cider. It's refreshing to have something unique like this. The cheeseburger was huge, tasty and cooked to order. However the fries were separate. The pizza dough is thick and fresh. The peach prosciutto pizza is unique and yummy, if a tad on the sweet side. Service is super friendly. These people are proud of their place and want to make special. Restaurant openings are typically a little rough at the start but this one seems to be well thought out. Off to a great start. I had to write a quick review about Clarksburg Cider as I really enjoyed my time here! A couple family and friends met me here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to have a few drinks and catch up. Even though there were quite a few people here, there was plenty of parking out front - note that the front lot was all loose stone. At the main entrance, the hostess let us choose to sit inside or outside and since it was so beautiful out, we chose outside, which was a good-size table with a large umbrella giving us plenty of shade. I like that this cider mill is a bit outside Lancaster and there's ton of open area surrounding it. We skipped out on the food this time and stuck purely to their ciders and cocktails. Since this was my first time coming to the cider mill and also my first time ever having one of their ciders, I went with a flight of four, 5 oz. pours. The ciders I tried were: Botanical Blueberry, Cranberry Ginger, Liliko'i Lavender Pride Cider, and Mint Julep Bourbon Barrel-Aged. I'll admit I don't typically drink hard cider as I don't care for the overly-tart flavor, but three of the four went WAY above my expectations! I absolutely loved the Cranberry Ginger and Botanical Blueberry as they had so much flavor without the tartness, I could drink those all day. The Mint Julep Bourbon Barrel-Aged was tasty and strong, making it a slow sipper, but I loved the hint of mint. The one that was more typical of a hard cider in terms of sweetness/tartness was the Liliko'i Lavender Pride Cider, which was good but not something I'd order again. I really enjoyed Clarksburg Cider and look forward to coming back again! I'll have to look for their Cranberry Ginger cider in stores. :) read more

Talk about a much needed food/attraction to the Lancaster area! Clarksburg is the right vibe this town needs to open up the door for more restaurants and breweries to be able to sling great food and equally great drinks. The atmosphere on a warm summer day is gorgeous. Picture a nice outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful lawn filled with lawn chairs and cornhole, and an equally nice indoor seating area with a view of the tap room brewery that is happening right on site as you eat and drink. The white Buffalo painted with apples is a great cherry on top and provides a selfie/instagram worthy moment to cap off a truly delightful experience. I can't tell what my favorite part about eating here was.. the gumbo appetizer or the absolutely incredible Mac N Cheese that tastes just as good when you heat it up the next day. Even my husband who is very anti-seafood was raving about the gumbo! I got a flight of ciders and it was great to try an assortment of flavors produced by Clarksburg. I'm not a big drinker, but I was able to get a good taste of all the flavors here and let my husband finish the rest as I focused on my Pizza. The pizza was the only neutral part of the experience here that dropped the review from 5 to a 4 star. I ordered the Margherita that had fresh tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. It got pretty watery from the tomatoes, but it was still delicious, albeit quite a bit messy. This won't stop me from giving this another try for dinner, though! One thing to note is that because it's been such a nice addition to the Lancaster area, you should absolutely make a reservation to get in. Seating will be even more limited when the weather changes, and it's pretty obvious living in this area to see what a huge hit it is, so plan ahead! read more

Came as a party of 5 with reservations. We were given the option of indoor or outdoor and decided inside given the cooler temp. The atmosphere is cool but really loud; were essentially shouting to each other. The drink selection was great, with all the alcohol and non alcohol options you would want. The food was really pricey. Two at our table ordered brisket and both were disappointed with the portion, the flavor and the amount of fat they had to trim off. I ordered a margarita pizza (they were out of vegan cheese) that was good but fairly small given the $16 price tag. Someone ordered dessert and did love it. Everything about it is wonderful, from the hardy bread to the shredded pastrami. The fries are hand cut and crispy and the sauces offered are super flavorful. The hopped one is so interesting - it has the bitterness of a hop without the dryness. The watermelon mint was a cool combo, but I wasn't a huge fan of it. The cider cocktails were good too! The food was mixed. The cider mussels were really delicious, but the bread that came with them was hard which made it hard to soak up the broth. I was surprised when we walked in that the building was 2 stories, and we were seated up in the loft area. It had good views of their cider making room which was cool! I ordered a cider mule which was very refreshing and my husband had a flight of 4 ciders. I had their wild mushroom pizza - it is probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. At the bar, at tables inside and out as well as in the grass area. I recommend reservations if you want to guarantee a table. They take walk-ins and the outside grass area seating is first come first serve. I think that if you choose the grass area you need to order food at the bar and they bring it to you. Not sure though Food/Drinks We are not big cider fans but they have a variety of non cider drink options to choose from so def something for everyone. We started with the steamers and lets be honest a clam is pretty much a clam and its a carrier for the sauce :) This broth was amazing. They serve the dish with thick sliced baguette and I could have used another loaf to not waste the broth. We had the Reuben to try it as the hubs is a Reuben snob. They use brisket instead of pastrami, the bread was perfectly buttered and grilled, melts in your mouth incredible. We has the burger with the bacon jam and I highly recommend it. Both plates came with some of the BEST FRENCH FRIES!! That is saying a lot from me as I lived near Belgium for a few years where their fries are the best in the world. Fresh cut, tasted like double fried, I ae both my plate and my hubs. Typically not a dessert person but chocolate is my weakness. We saw the table next to use get the cake, we asked how it was and after the smiles from the table next to us we had to give it a shot. If I were to do this review a year ago, it would have been 5 stars, but I had to write this from my latest experience there a couple nights ago because I'm so disappointed that it's gone so downhill. I've been here many times since it first opened and enjoyed my experience there each time, usually after work with colleagues and friends. This is a restaurant with many tables and even an upstairs portion with more tables for lunch and dinner. I've had good experiences there with appetizers, dinners, desserts, coffee and drinks. A few months ago I was there with a friend and we both got an excellent steak dinner. We both enjoyed ourselves and the staff had always been friendly. This last time I was shocked that the menu was reduced to about half and had only a few sandwiches and pizza as options now. I questioned the waitress and her response to me was, "wow, you must not have been here for a long time. We made these changes a year ago. " This is not true because I remember the last time I was there and had the steak and remembered it was a hard decision due to the other good options on the menu for dinner. This time it seemed like a small lunch menu. The waitress was very curt to us throughout the night as well. I asked for a sauce that came with my sandwich on the menu and she said that's only if you get fries, "but ok", very rudely. Then at the end of the meal we wanted to get coffee and the waitress told us they don't have coffee. My friend seemed surprised as was I and we asked you don't serve coffee anymore either? To which the waitress said rudely to her "cider place". Then at the end we asked for separate checks which we always had gotten there before and that was no longer available to us either. I'm really sad that the place has gotten to be this way. I guess if you want a cider and a grilled cheese sandwich, this is the place to go. Otherwise if you are looking for a good meal, go elsewhere. I still like the atmosphere of the place. I like the gravel driveway and parking lot as it's very different and has a country feel. But I won't be recommending this place anymore to anyone. read more

The place is great, it's got a nice layout, staff are helpful, it's great. The food is good even. But the problem is the prices are what you'd expect at a bar Michelin star restaurant. Trying the buffalo pizza, you'll notice it's good but not Michelin star good, just good it could use more sauce, the bites between the buffalo sauce are very dry. This place is good although the price of what you get is ridiculous. For example when you order certain apps you'll find they raised the price and give you less then they did a year ago. Also when they open the doors for the summer it is too hot and it's like eating your food in a barn. There are soo many flies in which I do not understand why so many other open places do not have the same problem. Fix the tremendous price hikes as well as your fly problem. This place is the absolute worst. Every time we come here it gets worse and worse to the point that we are just done with giving them second, third and fourth chances! (Shame on us for being so foolish)The prices are out of control. The quality of food and quantity is getting worse and worse. Flies all over in the warmer months when they open the doors! On Sept 16th I did an Open Table Reservation for 3 for 7pm! I did this at 11:30am that morning. Now understand I have been traveling out of town each week for the last couple of months for work so being home on the weekend I just wanted to be able to at least go to some place and have a fairly quick experience being 1-1 1/2 hours! When we showed up a few minutes before our time slot we were advised by the hostess that she would be unable to seat us even though we had a reservation as they mistakenly taken too many walk in's! As we seen at least half of the tables empty in the restaurant my fiancée asked if they could at least seat us. She said she would although it would take at least at a minimum an hour and a 1/2 for them to take our order! Being if we were lucky we would be getting our food around 9ish after being sat down at 7. As we left I called to speak to a manager which I did not recall his name although he said he was the Bar Manager. We talked for several minutes on the phone! Not 1 time during those several minutes did he apologize for the mistake. All he kept saying to me that he was embarrassed. My prediction is this place will be closed by Spring of 2024. read more

We had reservations on Saturday 9/16 at 7pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were then told that the kitchen was no longer taking food orders. The hostess said the kitchen was too backed up and we could not order food, but we could order drinks. I asked why they did not contact us to cancel our reservation prior to arriving and she had no response. Originally I was not going to post this, but I later found out they did the same thing a different time to a friend of mine. If you expect to eat dinner here, just be aware that they may not serve you food, even if you have a reservation. Very disappointed in this experience. read more

Awesome place in my own backyard. It's a hidden gem. Great food great drinks. I'm not a big fan of the apple but you can get other stuff here to drink. For some reason Apple is in every drink and food almost. Lots of people work here so there's no waiting when ordering. We just got kicked off our table after spending $130 on eating and drinking because they said they wanted somebody else to sit there. That's messed up I'm not coming back. read more
