The live music by Jeff Ricketts was fantastic and added a great vibe to the evening. Kara, the manager, was both friendly and professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The property itself is beautiful with plenty of activities to enjoy. From outdoor games, fire pits by the pond and a big screen showing sporting events. I Highly recommend coming out to visit. Sunshine set us up with everything we needed for a fun day. Their communication beforehand was excellent letting us know what to bring and keeping us posted on the weather. We could not have asked for a better day. This trip was only the two of us but we are already making plans to go back with the whole family. The Harpeth is the perfect location for river float. We were on the water about 4 hrs, it was amazing. Their shuttle makes it easy and convenient dropping you right at your car. Thanks for taking great care of us!

We were also able to play bingo and they had multiple other events during the day. This KOA has everything planned out so it's one of the better KOA's. It is a smaller campground and you are very close together but everyone was respectful and followed the quite hours. Being close made walking everywhere easy instead of everyone having a golf cart which can be annoying at times. The staff was so helpful when our campsite didn't have a picnic table, we let them know and they had one brought over with in 15 minutes of being there. Very accommodating! Would recommend coming here and will be coming again!

The State park is well taken care of however the areas are all separated and must be driven…read morebetween. Lakefront camping spots have no electric or water access. Bath house near lakefront camping has bathrooms but no shower. The lake front camping spots are gravel and are going to be rough on your tarp/tent/airmattress/feet. Happy Hollow looks fantastic and I definitely would've loved to stay there. They have hook-ups, bathrooms, and showers. There is no longer a playground at happy hallow like it shows on the map and lists on the website. We went to Eva Beach recreation area and there is a playground there but it's about a 12 minute drive from the campgrounds. The recreation area had a sandy beach, but a foul smell and the water was very dirty. There are 2 large factories that make a humming noise that can be heard from the campgrounds and constantly seeing the large plumes of smoke from them on both sides of the lake ruins the nature side of things. The cabins were nice. Lakefront camping spots are not kid friendly - lake on one side and a road that people fly down on the other. I personally wouldn't recommend this park especially for families but if you have to stay here then stay at happy hollow.
