We knew the payment amount from the contract, but no due date was given. When we tried to get this information, it was like pulling teeth. If you're paying cash outright, this would be great, but if you plan on making payments, be prepared to get frustrated.

We purchased a 12x16 outdoor building from Simpco and couldn't be more happier with the excellent service, care and attention we received from David, Deborah, and Joanna. We live 2 hours away and happened to be in the area and decided to stop and look. We found the building we liked, contacted Joanna, and from that very moment, everything was taken care of for us. We picked the shed and trim colors, upgraded the floor, went over door placement and loft and window options with David, agreed on a delivery date and signed the paperwork! Joanna kept us updated as it was being built, and even sent us photos of the various stages. She is very knowledgeable and was quick to get back with me with the answers to my questions, even after hours. I don't think I asked one question that she didn't have an immediate response for, which right away tells me she loves her job and helping people! DELIVERY DAY! Jeff delivered our building on time and actually called me a couple times the week of to make sure I was still good with the delivery date and time. I really appreciated that because the building was going to our new address and there were a handful of things I was juggling at the time with other deliveries. Our building came in on an 18 wheeler along with two other deliveries, and I was worried about how Jeff would get the building to the spot we wanted it, under heavy oak trees and up a rocky road quite a ways away from where the truck had to park. Jeff wasn't worried at all, and I took comfort in how he accessed the situation and took charge from there. He has a nifty little machine to move buildings into really tight spots, controlled by remote! It was actually pretty cool to watch! The entire time Jeff seemed calm and unbothered by our gasps and then sighs as he maneuvered under and around our beautiful oaks. Then he had to place the building as close to a buried septic line as possible without breaking the underground pipes. NO PROBLEM. Very impressive skills with that little machine! After the delivery and setup was complete, we inspected the building. Top notch craftsmanship! All the edges are squared and the joints are nice and tight and it is one solid building! Before he left Jeff put a level to everything one last time. All in all, should we ever need another building, and should our friends and family ever need a building, we'll all be traveling back to Simpco!!

I had a bad experience with this company from start to finish. They agreed to use my left over…read morerings, rod and fabric from a job I had done myself. I waited around one month for my drapes but never heard from them so I called them to be told that they were not ready but should be ready in a couple of weeks. But, she said, you have to add the time it takes for them to get here and we have to wait until one of our staff has time to install them. I wasn't too happy about the length of time this was taking because the window they were going on had sun on them all afternoon and would fade the new furniture and linens. When 2 ladies finally arrived to install my drapes they came to the conclusion that they were 4" too high. I told them I was upset with this and one of the ladies said "well, we were doing you a favor by using your fabric and rods to save you money. Her tone was accusatory .Her answer should have been. "We are sorry for this mistake, we will rectify it as soon as possible". The ladies said they had a local lady who could correct the problem and she is very fast. I thought they meant within 3-4 days. Nope. It was 1-1/2 weeks. When they came back to install the drapes for a second time I told them I was not very happy with the whole experience and they still didn't say sorry. In fact when they had finished they just picked up their tools and left in an unlike business manner. This next thing really made me angry. On the bill I got they stated: 1. Additional materials bought to be able to use customers own rod. My rod they installed is exactly the same as it was the day I bought it and is hanging on my window so I have no idea what they are talking about. 2' Alterations needed due to customer having wrong size rings causing measurements to be inaccurate. The rings are the same ones I had the day I bought them. 3, Extra trip charge due to customer not having enough of the correct size rings, Yes, I didn't have enough of the rings and I told the ladies that and I went to Home Depot and purchased 2 boxes of them, That was a round trip of 48 miles for me, NOT FOR THEM, and I have the receipt to prove it. The old ones I had and the new ones I purchased were both the same size. Cypress Roofing was one of 2 companies I called to go out there, look at it, and give a price to fix. The other company called first, and the slick talking young man said I had more problems which would cost $1000 to fix!! This was stuff the inspector certainly would have pointed out. I told him I would think about it. Then this morning, Ty with Cypress got back with me, saying that he saw only 2 loose shingles, and he went ahead and glued them down. Problem solved. I told him what the other guy said, and he called b******t!! I told him I was suspicious of the other guy because he seemed like too much of a slick talker. Ty told me that Cypress was not a slick talking company. And I would heartily agree in my case. I'd call then again!!

My Kerrville realtor hooked me up with Cypress Roofing and they handled the project from start to finish. Ty was my main point of contact. Ty knew I had been dealing with a messy estate process, and had been hit with the roof information suddenly, and with a limited amount of time to handle it. Ty got his team out to the house quickly for an assessment and sent me a comprehensive estimate, and several clear photos of the condition of the roof. It was as if I was there with him, but I didn't have to travel. Ty was incredibly patient with me while I worked through challenges with the homeowners insurance company, and with my billing needs, as the initial check I sent never arrived; I wasn't able to send a wire or electronic payment and was relying on the mail system to get the check to him. Ty started the job anyway while I sent an overnight payment- Ty kept me informed every step of the way and let me know when payment was received, and how the project was progressing. He and his office team facilitated getting all necessary documents/invoices/receipts to my realtor, to make things easier and faster for me so we could finalize the sale. When the first check I mailed turned up in their office six weeks later, office manager Allison called me to see how I wanted her to handle it. Amazing communication, and very trustworthy and compassionate people! I'm not a roofer, so I don't know what the scope of roofing prices currently is- but I can tell you I am more than happy to have paid what I paid for the complete new roof, in order to sell the home- rather than be saddled with a home I couldn't sell or would sell at a significant loss because of the condition of the roof. Considering the quality of the work, and the quality of the customer service- I'm comfortable saying their prices are more than fair for the work they do.

We have had two very similar landscaping projects done - the front of our property was done by…read moreAlltex Landscaping, and the back of our property was done by TX Design Landscaping. Both projects were xeriscape projects involving significant decomposed granite coverage, and also river rock dry creek beds and perimeters where the runoff water comes through our property when it rains. Two extremely similar projects with two significantly different experiences. The April 2021 Project done by Alltex was completed on time with quality, clean materials and coverage as agreed. This project also included artificial turf areas by the front of house that turned out excellent. The November 2025 Project done by TX Design Landscape was very low-quality work, and what was done was done with a very significant amount of dirt and clay mixed, extremely low-quality decomposed granite and river rock materials. The coverage was not as agreed to; there was a 'miss' on the material coverage take-offs done by TX Design Landscape. TX Design Landscape also for whatever reason decided to leave considerable areas, where no weed barrier was put down at all, or the weed barrier put down was not stapled down correctly and there were exposed frayed edges everywhere. Over the next several weeks we spent significant time taking up the granite and river rock, laying down weed barrier, stapling down the weed barrier edges properly, melting off the frayed edges and most importantly cleaning up the clay and dirt left behind by TX Design Landscaping so that runoff water could actually flow thru the areas intended, and then putting the granite and river rock back down. Clearly, based upon our experience Alltex Landscaping is the easily the best choice!
