And that has always been true. Im almost always greeted with a smile, if they cant find what I'm looking for, they will search their other stores or even competitors. They are always warm and professional and more than willing to work with anyone. If you're looking for something, its worth giving then a shot. Even if they don't have it, they will work hard to point you in the right direction with a smile.

Went in to get some wire twisters to fix fence (No I am not…read morewearing a mask) and at first I talked with a young lady (She was wearing a mask) and showed her on my phone a picture of what I am looking for. She told me she has not seen something like this so another man can up (Wearing NO mask as well) to see what I was looking for and then told me if I was going to walk up to him I better have a mask on in a rude matter. I asked him were is your mask as he walked to the front counter to put it on. He told me that he was getting it now and that I need to put mine on or get out of his store. I asked him for his name and he told me Ric with a capital (D) I said Dick and he said yes Iam a Dick. I asked him what gives him the right to take away my constitutional rights from me and if he was the manager (No I am not the manager)? I explained to Ric that without a customer you do not have a job and that your owner do not have a business. At this time an employee (Gentleman and was wearing his mask) sitting at the contractors counter spoke up and told Ric to stop. As I was walking out I explained to Ric that I was going to talk to his manager on Monday and he told me to get out and that they do not need my business. Ric told me again to get out of his store.  In my opinion if Ric and McCoy's doesn't need my business why should they need yours? Just remember that less than a mile down the street are Lowes and Home Depot so why waste your time to stop at McCoy's when there is a 90% chance they do not carry what you are looking for. You still have two other alternate choices in town MG Building Materials and Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber and Building Materials. We all have choices out there on were we want to spend our money. McCoy's is not the only store in town. We all work hard for our money and as custom have the right to choose were we spend it. With how things are in the world today there are a lot of business going out of business due to Covid. Think hard about spending your hard earned money here. Just another food for thought it was around 2:00 in the afternoon and there was not one customer in the store with 3 employees I had seen their working. This tells me now that just maybe others have had the same experience as I did in the past. McCoy's must have plenty of money to have 3 people standing around earning a paycheck with no customers. I could only imagine that there a lot of small mom and pop businesses out there that have closed due to Covid wishing they had McCoy's money to throw at their employees that are now unemployed. After leaving McCoy's I went to Harbor Freight, Lowes, and Kerrville Ranch and Pet Center not one of these businesses asked me were is my mask. Hell at one of these businesses their employees were not wearing masks, and I did not have an issue with it. What really gets my hair standing on the back of my neck is that you walk into a restaurant and they ask you to wear a mask and you look all around the restaurant and see people sitting at their table wearing no maskes so why is it that you are required to wear a mask for the 30 seconds it take you to walk to your seat? Also you can get up and walk by all of the other customers eating as you head to the restroom not required to wear your mask. Isn't this an oxymoron?

We contacted Foxworth-Galbraith concerning two fixed French doors that leaked every time it…read morestormed. After trying a few different things we finally decided to just replace the doors with windows and add stone work to the front of the house. Foxworth-Galbraith is very fortunate to have Guy Bason on their staff. We can't begin to describe what an amazing job Guy did organizing the design and purchase of windows, electrician, plumber, drywaller, painter and stone masons. All the subcontractors were extremely professional, timely, courteous and did outstanding work. Guy was hands on and we were amazed given how particular my wife is, Guy was even more particular about every aspect of the job. We had a couple minor concerns during the process and in each instance when we talked to Guy we found he had already noticed and had someone scheduled to address the concern. The finished job exceeded our expectations and we can't believe how many people in the neighborhood have stopped us to tell us how nice the house looks. We would not hesitate to call Guy when our next project arises!

And the one time someone did answer, they sounded extremely annoyed. They did not provide a payment book or directions on how to make payments. We knew the payment amount from the contract, but no due date was given. When we tried to get this information, it was like pulling teeth. If you're paying cash outright, this would be great, but if you plan on making payments, be prepared to get frustrated.

We purchased a 12x16 outdoor building from Simpco and couldn't be more happier with the excellent service, care and attention we received from David, Deborah, and Joanna. We live 2 hours away and happened to be in the area and decided to stop and look. We found the building we liked, contacted Joanna, and from that very moment, everything was taken care of for us. We picked the shed and trim colors, upgraded the floor, went over door placement and loft and window options with David, agreed on a delivery date and signed the paperwork! Joanna kept us updated as it was being built, and even sent us photos of the various stages. She is very knowledgeable and was quick to get back with me with the answers to my questions, even after hours. I don't think I asked one question that she didn't have an immediate response for, which right away tells me she loves her job and helping people! DELIVERY DAY! Jeff delivered our building on time and actually called me a couple times the week of to make sure I was still good with the delivery date and time. I really appreciated that because the building was going to our new address and there were a handful of things I was juggling at the time with other deliveries. Our building came in on an 18 wheeler along with two other deliveries, and I was worried about how Jeff would get the building to the spot we wanted it, under heavy oak trees and up a rocky road quite a ways away from where the truck had to park. Jeff wasn't worried at all, and I took comfort in how he accessed the situation and took charge from there. He has a nifty little machine to move buildings into really tight spots, controlled by remote! It was actually pretty cool to watch! The entire time Jeff seemed calm and unbothered by our gasps and then sighs as he maneuvered under and around our beautiful oaks. Then he had to place the building as close to a buried septic line as possible without breaking the underground pipes. NO PROBLEM. Very impressive skills with that little machine! After the delivery and setup was complete, we inspected the building. Top notch craftsmanship! All the edges are squared and the joints are nice and tight and it is one solid building! Before he left Jeff put a level to everything one last time. All in all, should we ever need another building, and should our friends and family ever need a building, we'll all be traveling back to Simpco!!

The response was that they would call back with figures, etc. Never heard anything from them after initial call so went with another local company who were quick to price and then even faster to do the installation.

Had to lower rating to 3 stars. Very slow and inconsistent service on warranty repairs.read more
