After reading several reviews, we contracted with Alltex to design and install our new landscaping. Let me start by saying this is an outstanding company. We have had two very similar landscaping projects done - the front of our property was done by Alltex Landscaping, and the back of our property was done by TX Design Landscaping. Both projects were xeriscape projects involving significant decomposed granite coverage, and also river rock dry creek beds and perimeters where the runoff water comes through our property when it rains. Two extremely similar projects with two significantly different experiences. The April 2021 Project done by Alltex was completed on time with quality, clean materials and coverage as agreed. This project also included artificial turf areas by the front of house that turned out excellent. The November 2025 Project done by TX Design Landscape was very low-quality work, and what was done was done with a very significant amount of dirt and clay mixed, extremely low-quality decomposed granite and river rock materials. The coverage was not as agreed to; there was a 'miss' on the material coverage take-offs done by TX Design Landscape. TX Design Landscape also for whatever reason decided to leave considerable areas, where no weed barrier was put down at all, or the weed barrier put down was not stapled down correctly and there were exposed frayed edges everywhere. Over the next several weeks we spent significant time taking up the granite and river rock, laying down weed barrier, stapling down the weed barrier edges properly, melting off the frayed edges and most importantly cleaning up the clay and dirt left behind by TX Design Landscaping so that runoff water could actually flow thru the areas intended, and then putting the granite and river rock back down. I hired Alltex in 2018 to add a complete xeriscape yard with minimal plants and trees. The final design and installation was/is the envy of all the neighbors! I could not have been happier with the completed product. Everything from start to finish was completed as promised by very professional staff. Since the 2018 installation I have had to call on Alltex for various landscaping changes I wanted and was very pleased with the service. I now know they do fencing, and since I trust them, I will be calling on them to assist with this without seeking additional quotes. read more

Recently Alltex completed a complete deck remodel and minor landscaping job at our residence. The work took approximately three weeks and in that time, I was very impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into the project. There were some sections of stonework in which new construction had to be blended with the old and it was done so seamlessly that it was difficult to tell the old from the new sections. The deck is largely brick and I watched the process and found myself constantly impressed with how meticulous the brick layers were about ensuring that everything was level and perfectly aligned. Beyond the workmanship, other often neglected project details were not ignored. The workmen showed up on time and frequently worked long hours to speed up project completion. When the workers finished their lunch breaks, they always were careful to clean up and not leave the area littered with trash as often happens with projects such as this. All in all, this project went exceptionally well and Alltex exceeded my expectations. My five-star rating for this company is well deserved. I can recommend Alletx without reservation to anyone having a landscaping project and is looking for a company to complete it. read more

My landscaping was 20 years old and had suffered due to the last few winter freezes. Alltex removed the damaged plants, upgraded my irrigation system and designed the new landscaping plan. Tobin and his team have done a wonderful job on my front and back yard. He has gone above and beyond to meet my needs and many requests, and has actively continued to help me maintain the yard and the sprinkler system even though they finished the landscaping job over a month ago. I am so proud to have people to my house now that my lawn is so green and well manicured. I highly recommend Alltex. read more

Called for an estimate on my landscape around the pool and the guy showed up and seemed fairly professional. He said he would have written proposal to me within a couple days.....one week passes....two weeks pass. I call the main line and the lady "assured me" she would have the proposal sent soon. One week passes...two weeks pass. I call main line again and once again I'm assured a proposal soon. One week passes....I call today (30 days after the inspection" and the lady tells me that it is too much work and they will not be writing a proposal. I told the lady "were you going to call me and tell me you were passing on the job" her reply "I was going to call you today". In summary don't waste your time on this company with pitiful customer service. In looking at yelp this morning they have many other poor reviews. We hired Alltex to extend our xeriscape into a part of our front yard that the prior owner had neglected. Danny drafted a design that improved our original thoughts for the area and we approved it. Long story short we ended up increasing the scope of the project, adding sodding and refreshing the existing xeriscape. We are very pleased with the results. The yard looks amazing and we have had so many compliments from our neighbors. Toby, oversaw the project and he was great about communicating with us and being responsive to our concerns, I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future. read more

From the design stage right on through, they were thorough, paid attention to every little detail, worked hard every day, and made something that was very ugly (not exaggerating) into something beautiful! Our front yard looked like a war zone and now we have people stopping as they drive by to just admire it. Many of our neighbors have asked about who did the work so they could get some of that magic in their own yards. Danny is an artist who could see the beauty that was possible. Gavin sees what needs to happen to make things work - and he makes it happen! Tobin made sure everything went smoothly and made the plans come to life! They are all so talented and work so hard! I hired Alltex to design and implement a landscape. The grading and tree removal was done in March and some plants were put in the ground. I was told in March that the remaining plants were unavailable due to the freeze and that the workers would come back in a few weeks when plants are more plentiful. After calling the company several times I was told in May that they could not get Mountain Laurels (really??) and that I should buy the other perennials at a local nursery and plant them myself. I am very disappointed that they did not come back and finish the job. Therefore, I cannot recommend this company. read more

Simply put, we made a big mistake by hiring All Tex to do our yard. They admitted to doing poor work and wanted to make things right, by charging more money for a job they should have done correctly to begin with. Their workers smoked on our back porch and we do not smoke, One worker threw up in or yard on another occasion. It was very disappointing and I would not recommend this company. read more

We had Alltex do some work for us a while back. They are very nice but do not do what they agree to. Every week they would come to us asking for more money. We held their feet to the contract and said this is what they agreed to do for the price but we faced an argument at every turn. They modified our agreed landscape plan and used products we specifically told them we did not want - large river rock where there should have been ground cover plants, round up, and rock/cement borders we did not agree to in the plan. They picked up day labor left cigarette butts and trash everywhere. The day labor sat down when they were not there. Alltex left this day labor unsupervised for the majority of the day. At one point they left gates open and our cattle escaped. They admitted they did it. There was no reason for them to even open that particular gate. We eventually had to fire them and they presented us with a bill in excess of our contract! If you have a tiny project - they MIGHT get it done. But if you have a big project - don't look at Alltex. read more

Would not recommend this outfit. They installed our landscaping initially and I knew it was a mistake. They "seemed" nice and eager to please but bottom line is the customer service after the fact has been horrible. They never came back to show me how to operate the system. Family business with some personal issues I believe. I have had several problems with the irrigation system installed. Rather than call them back, I called someone else to repair. The most recent problem I called them to come and repair it and have not heard back from them for 2 months. read more

They designed and implemented a great plan. We had some bumps along the way and some plant issues but they are willing to fix it. Very nice family run operation. Good people. Skilled in hardscape and landscape and very knowledgable regarding plants. They did a few extra touches that were very nice. All of their laborers worked hard and were so polite. They even brought treats for my dogs. They turned my yard from rough Texas landscape to a manicured lawn with well placed plants that the deer are not eating. read more
