Besides being extremely knowledgeable, his bedside manager was amazing. He explained everything in terms that I understood, took his time, and was very calming and reassuring. I have a couple of doctors at Mayo Clinic, and thought they were the best ever, but Dr Abrahamian was even better. The office was also very efficient at scheduling follow-up tests and working with me to fit my schedule. They also provided me with a written summary of my office visit outlining everything we discussed and tests to be performed. Ellijay is very fortunate to have such a great cardiologist. I only hope we can keep him here!

The staff were helpful and friendly. I was especially impressed with the MRI technician/nurse, Karen. She is skillful, patient and knows how to put people at ease. It was a pleasant experience which is not always the case when someone doesn't listen to the difference in my veins. Karen's technique was pain free. Thank you!

Piedmont ER was right down the road and got us right in. By the time I parked the car, she was being seen by the triage nurse and escorted to a bay in the ER. They were kind and compassionate and quickly ordered diagnostic tests to see what was going on. It's important to know that this facility is only an ER, not a hospital. If they deem you need further care, you have to either wait to be transported or drive to the hospital yourself. This is simply a limitation of this facility, but what they can handle, they handle well. This is basically an urgent care on steroids. But what they do, they do well and the doctor took the time to explain everything! I was visiting from out of town, so I'll likely never be back here, but if I lived here, I would not hesitate to visit.

I was promptly…read moretaken in, EKG was done immediately, Dr. King came in and said EKG did not indicate a heart attack. I was then taken for a head CT scan to rule out possible stroke. No sign of stroke. Chest x-ray was normal. Lots of bloodwork was done. Dr. King came in and said he wanted to admit me for an MRI which meant transferring me to Piedmont Jasper. I declined this advice saying that I didn't want to stay in Jasper hospital overnight and that I would go the next day for a walk in MRI. He said he'd have the nurse come back in and have me sign a refusal to be treated form. He then said to me "I don't think you're drunk, you don't seem drunk" which totally floored me why he would say that. I then asked him about my bloodwork and he said "we've had two critical patients come in since you, I haven't had time to look at your bloodwork, my shift is up, and you can see your results on My Chart". Nothing was done for me, the nurse came in and I was out of there in 5 minutes. It was like the minute I refused to be transferred to Jasper they just washed their hands of me. I followed up with my primary care doctor the next day and a lot of things were off in my bloodwork. Very low sodium, kidney functions way off, BUN and creatinine off. She was stunned that the ER didn't address my bloodwork. Never going to a Piedmont facility again. I would have left a zero star rating but one star is the lowest one can give.

Between us, we have three difference carriers (Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare and Aetna) and they refused to be in network with any of those. Not exactly fly by night small carriers. I would highly encourage you to find another provider that will value your money as much as they value their own.

It was a good experience for me. However this morning 06/11/25 at 9 am was my husband's appointment. Dr. Raisig Clinic called my husband Randy Godfrey and told him they had to cancel because he would not be a good match for them. He asked what do you mean to the office lady and she said Dr. Raisig said he would not be a good fit. They are promoting that they are a wellness clinic specializing in what I listed above in which my husband is suffering from and they turned him away unprofessional and would not let us speak to an office manager. They are located in Ellijay Ga. The office personnel was very rude each time I called to ask why and why could they not at least tell us why and point us to a Doctor that could help.
