I truly love Claro's. The Tustin location is the closest to me, but it can seriously be anxiety inducing. It's so small, there are always tons of people in there, and it takes them forever to make sandwiches. Last time we visited, I went and sat in the car until our sandwiches were ready cause I couldn't deal with standing in the tiny room with so many people. It's a me problem, I know. I had breakfast with my parents at a restaurant next to this Claro's and I commented to my stepmom how huge it was! She told me "it's not that big inside, we can go after breakfast, you'll see." WRONG she was! This location is probably 5 times the size of Tustin, I loved it! It's spacious and bright and there is plenty of room to walk around or stand in line for things without being overwhelmed. We ended up buying a few items from the bakery, were helped right away, and the checkout line only had 2 people in front of us. The deli area is spacious, and they have an outdoor patio to dine on. I don't get out to my parents house too often, but I would be willing to stop here and do shopping next time we are visiting them instead of dealing with the Tustin store. read more

A very special Italian mart with all things italian specialty items. I dropped in here on a Friday afternoon to grab some cannoli's and various sweet treats. Ended up walking out with over a pound of assorted cookies and a dozen cannoli's. They were definitely unique - the cannoli's were freshly made and delicious. Some of the cookies were better than others but overall great. A bit on the pricey side for $18/lb for cookies and around $5 a pop for the large cannoli's. Total cost me just about $100. The staff was so friendly. I told the lady at the bakery section that I was needing about a dozen cannoli's to use as a filling for my wife's birthday cake. And she very quickly asked another staff member in the back to make them fresh. They were ready in just about 5 minutes! While waiting for my order, I browsed the shop and found so much specialty foods. An entire fridge in the back of the shop was filled with various pastas and ready to cook items. Aisles were filled with everything from breads, cooking oils, seasonings, sweets, cheese, wines, etc and etc. The sandwich and deli section filled the front of the house. And they managed to squeeze in a gelato section too. Very nicely designed with undeniable italian feel to it. I will definitely have to come back to try some other items. read more

I learned about this location last year when I visited their Upland location and was curious about it. The store is very clean and if you pay attention to the floor, you will see how the lines work for ordering and checking out. My son and I went to pick up a few Italian ingredients and get a late lunch. The place is clean and reminds me of the NY Italian stores, because they have people slicing cold cuts, making sandwiches, serving hot meals, and bagging pastries. The store has all sorts of ingredients for your Italian dishes and the freezers have ready made dishes waiting to go into your oven for a quick meal. We took a few things from the freezer and ordered sandwiches and some lunch items. The food was really good and I will return, but with a longer shopping list because it is a little out of my way. I truly don't understand how this place only has four stars. This is hands down one of the best finds in Corona. I'm so glad I finally stopped in. Calling it a market is an understatement. The selection is incredible, imported cheeses and meats, flours, olive oils, and every cooking ingredient you could imagine. The space itself is beautiful and so well kept, which I really appreciated. The service was just as impressive. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond while taking our sandwich orders and even offered us samples at the end, which made the experience feel extra special. I ordered the Grandpa Joe and my husband had the Spicy Grandpa Joe, and they were easily some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. The bread was incredibly soft and fresh. I already can't wait to come back, and I'm planning to shop here to put together gifts for friends and family because everything they offer is that good. Next time I'm definitely getting gelato. I came here sometime last year and their sandwiches were just too good. Been wanting to come back for awhile now, and finally did. This time, I got to try their, "Cousin K" sandwich, which comes with: Roast Beef, Ham, Turkey, Pickles, Lettuce, Cheese, Mayo, and Mustard. It comes with to store if you want them. It was so good yet again! Another great one! And the young man who took my order was just the sweetest. When my sandwich was ready, I was somewhere in the middle aisles browsing something, and he brought my sandwich to me. Definitely appreciated the extra effort. Stopped by Claro's Italian Market & Deli in Dos Lagos and overall had a solid experience. The sandwiches were good quality and fresh, but mine had a bit too much mustard -- almost had a wasabi kick to it . Not a deal breaker, just something I'd ask to go lighter on next time. I'm definitely interested in coming back to try their hot food and more of the Italian pastries. Everything looked great behind the counter. First time grabbing some sandwiches , not sure what's the big hype about this place? Both sandwiches we got were really dry! They lacked of condiments hard to swallow! Literally !! Meats and cheese were good but "DAMN" put some extra oil and mayonnaise on them! This is our new weekend staple. We usually come for the bakery and market side of the store. The rugach and lace cookies are awesome. They also have small take and bake pizzas that we get almost weekly that are awesome! Today we decided to try a sandwich since we got there early and the line was not out the door. Claro's has become my new favorite place to shop and I eat so much more pasta now and that is not even close to a complaint! My favorite are the sandwiches, they are great for the price and so tasty. I tried the pastrami this weekend and it was so delicious! I got the small but I probably would have scarfed down the large as well. They have these take home and bake pizzas and they are so good! My family and I aren't much into sandwiches, but we love theirs and omg their meatballs in the hot deli section is sooo delicious! Our favorites are the Angry Mary and Great Grandpa Joe. The wait isn't too bad especially since I like to explore the aisles. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everything in the store is clean and organized. The items I buy like jarred clams, clam juice, and squid ink pasta are reasonably priced compared to supermarkets though some are pricey depends what you get. Love Claros!! My family has been going to their other locations for YEARS and we all love it. All of their fresh meats are amazing, the sandwiches are the best and allll of the bakery items are so YUM! It's always so clean and neat inside. Every person working was friendly and helpful. And anything you buy in there is absolutely delicious. I read some reviews saying there were long wait times, and I could definitely see that happening, but it didn't to me. I did go before the lunch rush tho. It does take longer than a regular sandwich place, but it's because they're freshly slicing everything, and giving everyone a more personal experience. And if there is a wait, just know it's worth it! It'd been a when since I'd been in, and I picked up a little of everything on this trip - meats, cheese, jars of things, and bakery items. Claro's is more than just a cool Italian market. The deli is the main attraction, but the bakery counter and gelato bar are also fantastic! The workers are friendly and fast. This location is my favorite one. There are tables outside to enjoy your sandwiches and goodies. Being that it's in the middle of the Dos Lagos shops, parking is always abundant and easy to find. To be honest Claro's was not our first pick in Dos Lagos. I went with my wife supposedly to Corona to pick up something at a friend's house. It wasn't Corona it was the middle of nowhere in Temescal Canyon. Ugh! So heading back on the 215 my wife wants to stop at Dos Lagos to eat. Every place was full so we decided to grab a Sandwich at Claro's and go home. What a great surprise. Full on Italian market. Italian groceries, a bakery. PIZZA!. I got a number to order a Sandwich. The Grandpa I think it was called while the little lady scoured the store for stuff. They called my number and made the sandwich there in front iI also got some Spicy Rigatoni as a side. My wife popped up holding 2 bags of "stuff". By this time I'm starving so we bust open the Sandwich there on a bench. Picnic Style. Great crusty bread full of Italian cold cuts and cheese. Lots of lettuce onions and tomatoes dripping with oil and vinegar. Those 2 angry Italian ladies on Instagram would be proud. The rigatoni was awesome as well. Saw this place pop up on Yelp so figured I'd give it a try. The inside is actually pretty big and they've got a wide variety of food and products imported from Italy, which was cool to see. I went around noon and decided to check out their custom sandwich counter. If you're planning to grab lunch here, just a heads up, don't come on your lunch break. You have to pull a number and wait to be called, and I ended up waiting about an hour before it was my turn to order. The sandwich itself was solid, but the bread was kinda hard I had to do a lot of chewing to get through it. The italian soda was pretty good and so was their truffle flavored chips. The paprika flavored chips were not that great. I haven't tried any of their other stuff yet, but I'll probably come back to see what else they've got. Seems like there's more to explore. read more

It reminds me of clean/ high end- deli. Tldr: pricey for a lunch time or snack. Better quality of meats but you could get similar food for cheaper. So, the place is like a deli. With cooked items, baked stuff, and your sandwiches plus ice cream. So, when you enter, if you're planning to get a sandwich... get a number. While waiting for your number, you could browse the grocery section. When your number is called... you could order your sandwiches, salads, and also cold cut meats at the counter. They have a digital # so you would know if it's worth it to wait. After they make it, you could head on over to the cooked items to get some pasta or what not and also pick some of the baked goodies. Then line up at the cashier for all the stuff and pay for them. I was able to try some salad, a sandwich, and even cannoli. Sandwiches are around 14-15 dollars with tax... the pastries are around 4-5 dollars each as well. There were some people that do order some deli meats as well. Worth a try ... :) read more

Tried to wait for a weekday to try it out and it was still slammed! It's amazing to have a good italian market/deli like this in Corona. Don't listen to the impatient "i'm too important to wait" reviews, the staff are getting it down and in the long run this will be a staple. Check it out. Food (5/5) - Tried 3 sandwiches and got 3 absolute hits with the Grandpa Joe, Cousin Caroline and the Angry Joe. Really impressed with the quality and stand out distinguishable flavors on the meats. Paired nice with some sauces and veggies like ground mustard, claros sandwich oil or mayo. Portion sizes were fair for the quality and prices of the sandwich but it is expensive. Service (5/5) - rare moment i'll lob a 5 for an "order at the counter" spot, but when your ticket gets called, a clerk will personally hand write down your order/modifications/name and also prepare it freshly sliced themselves start to finish. Real stand up crew here. Ambiance (4/5) - Maybe just because they're fresh open and busy inside, but the spacing can be a bit awkward with a flood of people waiting for the deli and blocking some shelves of potential goods I wanted to buy. This is a huge, wonderful store. Entering makes me feel like a kid in a candy store! Barely open, and the Yelp community has already come down hard on this new Claro's located in the Dos Lagos mall. Ah, come on guys! Claro's is an iconic market with multiple locations in Southeren California, all offering great Italian foods and well-stocked shelves of inspiring ingredients for the home chef. It is so more than a hot and cold deli. Claro's doesn't deserve such harsh ratings. Well, ok, the store setup left me a bit frazzled. The haphazardly defined lines for orders from the various food sections, and the final check-out area were a mess and overflowed into the aisles where those of us were still trying to shop. Surely they can come up with a better, controlled layout, especially right now when everybody and their grandmother is curious to see the newest attraction in town. Hope the management steps up to smooth out the wrinkles. The grand opening is tomorrow! Other than that, the store is simply marvelous. There are multiple stations you can choose to order hot food dishes, huge sandwiches, cookies and desserts, or magnificent loaves of freshly baked Italian bread. You got my heart thumping after seeing the big bread rings covered in sesame seeds. The smells are divine. Prepare to leave with much more than you intended. The refrigerator and freezer section occupies an entire wall, nearly front to back. You can get choose from many types of packaged frozen raviolis, fresh and dry pastas, frozen meals like lasagna and eggplant parmesan, and a huge variety of bulk sausages, hot or mild. And there are rows upon rows of canned goods, sauces, and condiments. And of course, imported wines. If there is a secret ingredient in your Italian grandmother's recipe, I doubt you will have trouble finding it here. There is even a corner of the store dedicated to Italian Gelatos that has not yet opened. Yum! Lastly, I cannot say enough about the wonderful, helpful staff, from the manager on down to the friendly stock clerk. All were exceedingly busy, but stopped immediately to help me find what I wanted. Thank you! That special touch goes a long way. Plenty of parking. Accessible from two separate entrances, front and back. Just what we needed here in Corona! Let's start off with DONT WORRY .... you won't always have to wait an hour for your sandwiches it's a soft opening and of course it's going to be packed so if you lack patience your better off going to where their cooked foods are and pastries and you can get an amazing taste of what Claros has to offer. That being said Claro's is an Italian deli that lives up to the heart of Italian meats, cheese, pastas, ingredients etc... having gone to Italy myself it's hits the mark of Italian tradition. This is one of their bigger locations as I used to live in Glendora and go to that one alllll the time and I usually wait 10 min if that for a sandwich so don't let the soft or grand opening make you feel like you can't enjoy this amazing market. Today Daniel made our sandwiches and Ava checked us out. As you wait in line to check out you can pick from their pastries or cooked foods and they will have you out pretty quickly. I want to give a huge shout out to the staff today and the staff that drove from the other locations to bring supplies for the soft opening to help satisfy the demand. You all were working hard and we seriously appreciate all of your efforts. Me and my wife picked up three sandwiches, my usual which is the spicy Mike and I love this sandwich. I also got the angry Joe for the first time and it's quickly hitting my second favorite. My wife got a he uncle kief and she was immensely happy with it. We also picked up a cut of the eggplant parmigiana and IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! And for dessert we got some of their thumb print cookies, a lemon bar, and a brownie and.... They did not disappoint. The market has a wonderful Italian deli vibe. We picked up some groceries too, like some 00 flour since I like making homemade pizzas with my oonie oven. This business is so very nostalgic for me as I grew up in El Sereno and practically lived at the Claro's in Alhambra. You walk in there and smell Italy all around you. Everything is so fresh, and the selection of products and groceries to make you an authentic Italian meal is incredible. The individual sandwiches are amazing, I've tried most of them, but my parents were the life of the party every time they showed up with a Claro's ring sandwich! You can add whatever deli meats you want, but they put everything inside of a large ring bread that is covered with sesame seeds. Uhhhhh!!!! It's amazing!! My parent would always get the Italian ring and myyyyy goodness. I moved to Corona last year and just learned a couple months ago that there's a Claro's in Dos Lagos! i have been here at least twice. The sandwiches do not disappoint! They have top ingredients and bread. The market is pricey but the products seem authentic and high quality. There is a hot food line. They have premade items in the refrigerated section- i have not tried those yet. There is also a bakery. The bakery line is close to the checkout counter line which can get a little confusing because sometimes people will think you are waiting for the bakery and will cut the line to get to the cashier. I wouldn't come at noon because i hear it's crazy busy. The gelato guy is super nice!! I stopped by between 2-4 PM and there were no long lines. I love this place!! read more

This is Italian market Disneyland! I've been going to the Claro' in Tustin for many years and I just happened upon this site out in South Corona on the way down to Temecula off the 15 freeway. Let me tell you folks it is worth the stop. First off, it is a massive brand new or at least it looks that way Italian market that has everything you've always liked about Claro's but just on a larger scale. And it's so easy to get lost in this place. Just adding more and more stuff to your basket. I was on a search for Italian desserts and got pizzelle's, lemon and anise, torrone, which is like a nougat candy with nuts, assorted candy and cookies out of the case as well as a pistachio cannoli. Oh and I had to grab a bag of frozen meatballs just because. I look forward to going back here.
