Great food at a great price. A local place where everyone knows someone.Staff are fantastic!! I'm just sad they don't have Diet Coke, just Coke Zero . I can't stomach Coke Zero.

Do you really wanna? Do you really wanna taste it? The Lone Ranger (BP Risin' plus eggs & cheese) from #CowboySurferGrill

Of all the ways to ingest potatoes I think sliced potatoes is one of my favorites right along with hash browns and tots. Whether it's the mojo potatoes from Shakey's, to the Saratoga chips in the Cinicinnati area, to the potatoes au gratin at Ruth's Chris'--there's something about soft sliced potatoes that makes it amazing to eat. Cowboy Surfer Grill turns this amazing culinary advancement into the perfect breakfast base by plopping a country-fried steak on top and covering it in gravy for their BP Risin' breakfast plate. Then, to be extra wicked, they put fried eggs on top, add more gravy, and then add cheese to the mix to make the even better Lone Ranger breakfast plate. It's all very delicious and appetizing and dangerous. The service is especially great with some of the most friendly servers I've had in the last five years. They're the type to take you under their wing if you're new to the food joint but also treat you like you've been friends for years if you start coming regularly. The place is small, but cozy. The decor has a decidedly beach feel to mixed with an outdoor rustic ruggedness. I like it. It's very inviting in its aesthetic. I'm definitely coming back here because that Lone Ranger is super addictive.

Breakfast BLT with avocado and curly fries

My friend took me to Cowboy Surfer grill for my birthday breakfast. I had never been. I am pleased to have been show this delicious spot. I got the breakfast BLT with avocado. Having an egg on a BLT was so good. Why have I never thought of that before?!? I also got curly fries because I was told their ranch was delicious! And I'm happy I listened. I want to go back for chicken tendies so I can scoop up the ranch! The service was good, even though it was packed. We sat outside. They were quick to bring drinks and utensils. We did have to go in to see if we can order, but that was the only negative. The ladies were so friendly. I will definitely be back!

Tried something different for breakfast and ordered the Blueberry Pancakes. The Pancakes here are huge, so I asked if they could make me 3 smaller blueberry pancakes and they obliged. The service here is always welcoming and friendly.

Went here for a late breakfast and were not disappointed. The service was attentive and friendly and the coffee was immediate! We ordered the Steve n Kathy omelette and the Breakfast Combo. The food was good ole hometown Mom n Pop type cooking. Flavorful and delicious! Really enjoyed the inside decor and seating was ample. Will definitely return next time I am in the area.

"That's the menu?" is what I said when I realized what the newspapers laying on the table were. It's an example of the fun quirkiness of this restaurant. When you first walk in, you're looking at funny and interesting quotes and art covering the walls. Branding is huge here with their cowboy surfer mascot all over the mugs, table tops, and chairs. It all feels reminiscently Disney-esque. I was pleased to find a vegetarian/vegan section in their newspaper/menu where you could order both breakfast and lunch. The portions are generous and we ended up taking home leftovers, which even eaten hours later was still tasty. And as busy as they were, all the waitresses had stopped by our table to check in on us. It's no wonder this place is so popular. We lucked out and only had to wait a few minutes before being seated, not realizing it's recommended to call ahead. Still, we came at around 10:30am on a Saturday as walk ins and it still worked out fine.

Delicious food and top of the line service! Love coming here for breakfast and lunch.

They also had festive decor up for the World Cup, which was playing on the TVs and added a great energy to the room. The service was awesome! Our server was incredibly friendly and spoke to us like we'd been friends for years. She was so cool. We ended up staying for hours just enjoying the vibe of the brunch crowd and the soccer fans. Food & Drinks: LOVED! The Mimosa Flight (~$9 per drink): We shared this between two people and it comes with 8 different flavors! It included peach, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, orange, pomegranate, and I think mango (can't remember the last one, sorry!). I love that the glasses were actually filled. I watched them make them, and it's a majority of champagne with just a splash of juice. Chilaquiles: This has become my absolute favorite breakfast dish lately, so I try it everywhere. It was very yummy here! It comes with eggs, and I added steak for some extra protein. The presentation was beautiful, too. Highly recommend! Steak & Eggs: My friend ordered a dish that had a different name on the menu, but it was essentially steak and eggs. She said it was absolutely delicious. The bathroom was clean, and I noticed they have a changing table available as well, which is always a great plus. Overall, I had a really good time eating, drinking, and talking here. I will definitely be back!

Wait Staff: I wish I took the name of our waitress because she was awesome, funny and knowledgeable about the menu. All waiters/waitresses were great. Drinks: Unfortunately I didn't get any drinks because we kept seeing the brightly colored drinks and flights being served around us and I was jealous, they all looked awesome. Food: This is where it gets good because the food was A+++mazing. We started off with just the salsa, chips and for a nice surprise, some warm beans. The salsa brought a tear to my eye because it was soooo good. Luckily, my son doesn't eat salsa so I drank it all down. The chips were perfectly fresh and crispy. Guac: So, our waitress brought us some off the menu guac, and, WTF, why are they hiding this recipe from the rest of the world. I literally got into a fist fight with my son because he was trying to take it from me (not really) but I didn't want to share. The presentation was so cute too. Plantains + chips + guac = heavan Fajitas: I ordered fajitas and all boxes were checked, quantity, quality, and taste. I ordered the chicken and it was juicy and thick and perfectly seasoned. Steak tacos: My kid ordered the steak tacos and we brokered a deal to trade some steak for chicken and this was the best deal made since the New Deal (American history). Steak was chunky and juicy and fresh! The only problem with this place is that it is very far from my house as I was in the 'hood for my kids basketball tournament. If I am in the area you better believe that I will be back. Oh yeah, and very affordable for the upscale dining.

It's because of this I got very familiar with Swedish Crepes or Pancakes, as some might call them. I don't know if they were ever my favorite style of pancakes but they were always an option on those rare occasions I wanted something with more fruit than blueberry. Tara always appreciated me making an effort to broaden my perspective on what a good pancake or crepe constituted. That being said, I hardly ever run into great Swedish crepes. Usually the butter or compote is sub-standard, and I usually feel like I should've gotten something different. Silver Dollar Pancake House makes some majestic Swedish crepes. Yes, it's more of a cranberry than a lingonberry, but otherwise the compote and Swedish butter are spot-on. The crepes came out nice and thin, but still super flavorful. Everything came together so great. Even the fact the special comes with six sausages after you switch out the bacon is amazing. I would get this deal over and over again. The service at the counter was frenzied and focused. Every time I needed my coffee refilled, the server was on it. The food came quickly and there were frequent check-ins. It's literally everything you could want in customer service at a counter. Yes, the ambiance is bit crowded and a bit hectic. I don't envy trying to get a seat in the dining room because everything is but cramped up in there. That being said, I don't think anyone waited longer than fifteen minutes and folks seemed genuinely glad to be there. It's the price you pay for eating at a popular breakfast spot with breakfast entrees this delicious. Plus, eating at the counter always seemed open. And from someone who hates eating at counters most of the time, that's saying a lot that I would suggest it as a viable option. Overall, this is the dream place for those like Tara who can't get enough of pancakes and a damn good option for those like me who are content to keep their amateur status intact by only occasionally indulging in the Swedish signature dish.

One gripe was that our food came out before our first beer came out. Once we asked, our server looked like they forgot about it. :/ Also, once the beers arrived, it would have been nice for quick "sorry" or "my bad". I do have a little more forgiveness in a crowded restaurant but mind you, we were there at 5 PM and the restaurant was barely half full. I'm not sure if there's any excuse for all of our entrées to show up before our first beer. Cute place for a date night, especially since they are going to open an Improv next door soon. In addition, I feel that the kids meal should include a drink. Especially when the kids meal is anywhere from $12-$20. You can say I'm nitpicking things, but those small things could go along way when you look at the big picture.
