But my daughter being a left hemiplegic with left-sided weakness, needed more of a customer fitted bike. Greg and Dan did tons of research to change her brakes and gears all to the right side. She is now on her second bike from the shop and again, they put every attention to detail in making sure everything was perfect. Andrea, the bike fitter and PT is exceptional! She is incredibly detail oriented and makes sure every bike fitting is extremely precise. She knows exactly what to do to tweak things to make you absolutely comfortable/adjusted properly. I went to Class Cycles while visiting my parents the week after July 4th. I work in run specialty in the Boston Area, so I expected a certain type of service and expertise from a cycling specialty store like Class Cycles, and was not disappointed. I was helped by Greg, the Manager, who was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about both the products and what type of bike I needed. After thoroughly testing out three hybrid bikes that would be good for commuting in the city as well as training for sprint triathlons, I decided on the Cannondale Quick 4. Unfortunately, they needed to go off site to pick up an XL size. I only had twenty four hours before I left Connecticut to return to Boston, and they were able to pick up the bike and assemble it in time. We have come to really appreciate the attention and guidance we have gotten from Class Cycles. There are many good bike shops out there, and this is one of the very best. Beyond selling quality products, they have a depth of knowledge that is uncommon and we feel that they are very honest when advising on purchases and repairs. Greg and crew have taken a good local bike shop and made it into the center of a great biking community. I have been buying bikes for myself and my family at Class cycles since I moved to Southbury over 25 years ago. Roy (previos owner) always had a great selection and provided great service. When Greg took over he took the shop to a whole new level, expanding product offerings, expanding group rides, and hosting cycling related community events. Customer Service is the best way of describing the level of service. I have dropped the bike up and never gotten any surprises upon pickup. They always let me know costs and estimates and warned me of any potential surprises before doing any work. I have now purchased four bikes from the shop and will continue to do so. I trust their work upon repair enough to pickup and go from shop to single track and pedal hard knowing the bike is safely secured and tunned. I returned to biking about 15 years ago. When I brought my first Cannondale into the shop last year the guys told me I was riding a death machine! They explained that replacing all that was worn out would be expensive and that perhaps I should consider a new bike entirely. I am an easy sell and they worked thoughtfully around my budget and actually found a 2018 Supersix (beautifully green) that was right in the heart of what I could spend.
