The Fairfield is a beautiful venue with a gorgeous event space. The large windows provide plenty of…read morenatural light, and the room itself creates an elegant atmosphere that was perfect for the event. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the venue. The venue coordinator was difficult to find throughout the evening and, when approached, was consistently unfriendly and came across as rude to guests. The bartenders remained behind the bar all night, even when an entire table of champagne glasses needed to be filled. Instead of assisting, guests had to carry all of the glasses to the bar themselves. On top of that, the drinks themselves were disappointing. The biggest issue was the venue's lack of staffing and service. This was an event with well over 100 guests, yet The Fairfield had only two bartenders and two additional staff members, one of whom was the venue coordinator. The outside caterer, who served an excellent dinner at 5:00 PM, actually had more staff on site than the venue. Table clearing was the responsibility of the venue staff, not the caterer, yet the venue didn't begin clearing tables until after 9:00 PM. By then, many guests had already cleared their own plates and trash in an effort to keep the room tidy. Even that became difficult because the trash cans had been overflowing for most of the evening. The venue also ran out of cake plates. When more were requested, the venue coordinator responded rudely, saying she would "see what she could do," despite the fact that fewer than 50 plates had been used at that point. Knowing the family hosting the event and having attended other events they've planned, I know they are incredibly organized and detail-oriented. I'm confident the event timeline, guest count, staffing expectations, and responsibilities were thoroughly discussed during the planning process. Based on what I witnessed, the shortcomings were not due to poor planning by the hosts but rather the venue's lack of preparation and execution. The Fairfield is a stunning venue, and it has so much potential. However, until customer service, staffing levels, and event management improve, I would have a hard time recommending it for larger events.

The lanes were easy to figure out even for a beginner. I was impressed with the food options; the chicken salad is excellent, and they have several local beers available. There are little tables and seating next to the bowling lanes so you can eat, drink, and bowl. The waitstaff was outstanding - friendly, helpful, and quick with anything we needed. I would happily come back for bowling next time I'm in town. Cons: This place is LOUD. If you are sensitive to noise, bring your favorite ear-plugs. Don't bother with the tiny parking lot in front of the building unless you need an accessible space! Drive past it and follow the signs to the large gravel lot. It is a further walk but much less cramped and more likely to find a spot.

The staff was responsive to calls and emails when we needed information, making decisions and ironing out the final details. Union 12 facility is not inexpensive. However we feel like they gave us a very good value and the ultimate experience was excellent. I could use a lot of words to describe their facility. I have attached pictures you can review along with their web sites. Overall the facility, grounds and bridal suite were in very good repair and attractively designed. The facility is very welcoming and allows your guests to feel comfortable quickly. The outside seating area is so what small but can easily handle 200+ people. The covering is nice to help protect against the weather. The chairs are comfortable. They gave a couple arches that you can choose from for a back drop. The bridal suite is nice. It's not overly spacious. It could be uncomfortable if you have much more than 7-8 bridesmaids. The lower level has a nice kitchen to make your day long preparation more comfortable. The kitchen isn't stocked with utensils so bring your own. The upstairs is meant for groomsmen to get ready. This area is rather small and somewhat uncomfortable due to the low ceilings and small rooms. The facility grounds are very nice and welcoming. The fire put, pond lawn areas and seating areas are nice. The outdoor lighting is very attractive especially at night. There is a decent amount of parking. The signage on the road is very poor. It is easy to drive right past the facility if you aren't careful. The inside the facility is wide open. The balcony is easy to access as there are two staircases. The balcony is close to the head table area for good viewing. The bar is compact but strategically located. It can get pretty crowded at the bar area as this is where the staircase comes out. On this occasion our buffet line was near the bar as well. The side room has a fair amount of seating. People in the far back corner don't have a very good view of the head table area. The dance floor was in good condition. If you have a lot of tables you will need to take down tables to make enough space to dance. The bar service is very good. They had ample help to move drinks for our 200 people. They provide water and lemonade self serve containers. We purchase the package that provided beer, wine and vodka. This turned out to be sufficient for most all people. The bar staff was very friendly and efficient. Union 12 provided us the a coordinator for the whole day. Olivia did an outstanding job helping us all day long to get everything in the perfect place and the right time. We excitedly showed up with all our decorations and the place was in disarray. We had to fend for ourselves , including cleaning up the place from whatever had happened there last. We ended up calling in family members last minute to help us pull things together. I would never recommend that to anyone during what should be a special event honoring someone that is loved. The bathrooms were easily accessible and clean. We had a company cater the food, and they had plenty of room as well as amenities in the kitchen. If you want music, they can hook you into the sound system, but it requires a regular jack, so you will need to bring the appropriate equipment for that. They offer drink services for a flat fee as well as coffee. Now, the only improvement I could think of is that they need a bigger sign or something that let's you know where to turn. We had several people who missed the turn. But that is a small issue. Overall I highly recommend using this place for your event.
