    Tea for two
    Old N.

Took my 97 year old mother here for lunch. What a wonderful experience. We shared tea for two and it was delicious. She had quiche and I had the chicken salad. Both were wonderful. We topped it off with tomato bisque soup, so good. The atmosphere and service were exactly what I'd hoped for in a tea house lunch. Bravo!

Full tea party fun. We made reservations for 5 at The Parker Grace. The atmosphere and staff were amazing. Due to a maps issues we were late for our reservation, but the staff was kind, compassionate, and attentive. We all ordered teas of different varieties. Our waitress brought all our teas and explained how to steep them as some of ours were loose leaf and others in bags. She also gave great recommendations for those who didn't like tea. The menu is good and has a variety of things. There is a kids menu upon request (PBJ, cheese pizza, Pepperoni pizza, or grilled cheese with apples and chips). Our party all agrees the chicken vegetables soup was amazing. Other entrees were the Chicken Devan (it was 'ok'), turkey club sandwich (huge portion of turkey) and the trio (Cucumber salad, was better than my grandmas, dont tell her! Chicken salad was great if you like a mayo based salad with almonds and grapes). Do not skip dessert, I repeat...do not skip dessert. They are made fresh and change often. If you pick the scones, peach cobbler, hot fudge sundae, hummingbird cake, or chocolate lava cake they are ALL good and can easily be shared with 2-3 people. Prices are fair for the experience ($20/pp aprox). This is great for a girls social, birthday party, bridal/baby shower as the rooms could accommodate small parties.

What a delightful place. We went for my birthday to have lunch and check out the shops. The classic "ladies that lunch" type foods were all tempting. The cakes looked delicious but we didn't get a piece. I might start with one next time. We each ordered the poppyseed salad with cashews, apples and Swiss cheese. It was good but I'm not sure if $14 isn't too much. I would've like to see maybe a dried cranberry or cherry included. I would like to return with others. I did order some hot tea and it was very nice. The candy store upstairs is cute. The bathroom is upstairs and nicely decorated but it could be a challenge for those who may have issues with stairs.

Service and food was wonderful today like always. Took a friend who had never been to the tea house before and he loved the quiche. Took home a piece of lemon cake with raspberry filling which was delicious. This is a great place to go for a special occasion or just an ordinary day to treat yourself. Definitely on of the great places to eat at in Roanoke.

    Desserts!

Each table is set with delicate place settings. A tea party for my sister's birthday. Adult women feeling like little girls from our childhood. Thank you!

Lemon and blueberry scone. Apricot tea.

Then there is a balcony that has a fable and a cotton candy machine. Although it wasn't running that day it sounded tasty to have. One room is for little girls with unicorns and rainbows and dolls, the main room is more for adults and the third room is more geared towered boys with super heroes and LEGO candy etc. the balcony is available to rent out for small events and would be awesome in the summer months. It includes the cotton candy machine if you like too!! it takes awhile to peruse the upstairs because there is so much fun candy to look at and buy. She even had a big selection of throw back candy that takes you back to your childhood. The place is very clean but social distancing isn't practiced except for hand sanitizer. No masks etc. the owner is super friendly and easy to talk too. You can tell she loves her business which is awesome. this is a must stop place when in town not k lot to support local business but to support your sweet tooth!
