We were thrilled with how tasty the Classic Culinaire food was at our wedding at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley. The salmon, short ribs, mushroom risotto cakes and lemon linguini were all delicious. The corn arancini and spicy pork tostada appetizers were also wonderful. They all did a great job on our wedding day and everything went very smoothly. The only thing I will say is that the majority of our guests ordered the filet mignon for dinner and they were unfortunately very overcooked. I think this might be a common scenario when serving steak at a wedding so I'm not docking any stars from it as the service was impeccable. Pick up delicious chef prepared food at a reasonable price? No. Way! Yes, way! I love the salads (meant for 2 servings but I eat it for a meal because hungry) I love the protein bowls. Really nice for those of us watching our figures and/or avoiding carbs. I love the individual protein pieces that you can add to whatever sides you have at home for a fast meal. I love the desserts. Ohhhh dessert. So the setup is you go to the physical location and all of the complete meals, individual protein or side dishes, and desserts are neatly boxed and stacked so you can grab and go. They are listed on DoorDash which is often how I get a few days worth of food when it is crazy hot here and I do not want to cook. I love having beautifully prepared, healthy, affordable meal options that you literally can grab and go. Try it instead of nasty low nutrition fast food - it's pretty much the same price but better quality nutrition for your body. RIP summer 2021, we can work on our 2022 summer bodies now. The most important thing for us at our wedding was to make sure we had GOOD FOOD! Actual good food, not just "wedding-level" good (if you know, you know). From the moment we met Rachael and Chef Chad, we had a great feeling about working with them. And frankly, we were blown away by our entire experience. If you are booking a caterer for a wedding, or any event, we could not recommend Classic Culinaire more highly. It is the RIGHT decision. We knew the food was incredible, and it was a bigger testament when our guests came up to us for weeks after the wedding commenting on how good the food was. We had guests going up for seconds and thirds! We had several guests ask us to ask the chef what the recipe was for certain dishes at dinner! People told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, and even one of the most memorable meals they've had ever! Classic Culinaire sets the bar HIGH! To rewind, we went in for our tasting, Rachael graciously explained the process to us. Chef Chad came out at the end of our dishes, and asked for feedback on each dish. More seasoning? Less garlic? More lemon? What Chef does that?! Most chefs we've interacted with have their particular way of preparing each dish, because they've done their dishes the way they know how to for a living. Chef Chad had enough confidence in how amazing his dishes tasted, and he really cared to make the food taste exactly to our liking. We even wanted to do a Philly Cheesesteak as a late night meal at our wedding, and he created one even though it was not on his normal menu. It was delicious! Rachael is such a pleasure to work with. She is beyond helpful at every juncture in the planning process and even helped with our many questions around staffing, rentals, table arrangements and beyond. They fit our budget and provided high quality service and food. Even our wedding planner was very impressed. We upgraded to the filet mignon and the halibut and glad that we did. This was so good! A blend of several different cheeses. Perfectly seasoned. The pancko on top was a wonderful addition. The beef stroganoff was exactly what I was hoping for. I selected a dining "experience" from their menu, provided my address, and was expecting to receive the service contract and invoice for the $500 deposit. An hour later she replies that a larger party was already booked for that date and they can't offer their services for my party. Waste of time. Also, she didn't offer another date - no conversation or inquiry whether my date is flexible (which it is) - just "best of luck". Rachael is not friendly like the others I have contacted. Her responses are curt and not informative, making me either confused or have to pry for more information. Her first email was basically like 'here's the menu, it's $500 to secure'.. rather than a conversation about options. I understand a larger party is better business but either don't tell say you're ditching me for more money, or at least offer another date! read more

You call them in advance, they put it in your trunk. For the price, even if you're a couple, order for a couple - there's plenty of food for two. A Piece of Cake & Confections is also apparently co-located, does the desserts, and they are equally awesome. Even carrot cake, which is one of my least favorite desserts (next to anything marzipan-centric, sorry), is elevated in the hands of the chef. What a night! I hired Classic Culinaire to cater a dinner for eight people and this company was exceptional. I was impressed with them at every stage of the process. They responded quickly to my inquiry, communicated clearly about the process, and showed up on time. Most importantly, they created a beautiful meal, and interacted with my guests in a way that really enhanced the experience. As wonderful as chef Chad and Marcus were, it wouldn't have added up to much of the food hadn't been excellent, but the food was the real star of the night. The heirloom tomato bruschetta and the sake beef lettuce wrap appetizers set the tone for the meal. Each appetizer had a burst of flavor and texture that literally put a stop to all conversation other than exclamations of appreciation. "This is so good! What are these ingredients? This is amazing!" All agreed that the butternut squash soup was extraordinary - I believe it's the best I've ever had - and the crispy skin chicken breast, salmon, fingerling potatoes, and brussel sprouts were all prepared in lovely ways that let us know we were dealing with a chef with real skill. The molten lava chocolate late cake dessert with ice cream rounded out this exceptional meal.
