Long wait times in the service department (over two hours for minor fixes), without any communication about what was being repaired or how much it would be. Ended up with a 300 dollar bill with a Ford part I had bought myself - no prior notification of how much the replacement of a door handle would cost. Managerial promises were made to look into not only this issue, but also the ineffectiveness of a rather rude and non-communicative service team. Have heard nothing. I used to like this place, but not any more. The lack of communication specifically about potential repair fees violates a few laws in Texas that protect the consumer. Complaints will be filed. Verify and reverify during your wait times at this dealership! Our F-150 needed brakes and it is our only mode of transportation. Tyler in Service was great - helpful and knowledgeable. He set me up for an appointment for the next day and when I arrived, he took care of me quickly and hooked me up with Jessie (customer transportation). Rides to and from the dealership went perfectly, even though it's about time for the dealership to take that Transit out of service and get a new / less used vehicle. I found out that Edgar handled the work on our truck, and he is the best. After a new air filter and brake job, the truck operates just the way it should, and we are grateful to the Classic team. They put the title in the wrong name, and I am unable to sell my vehicle currently; and they made me sign a waiver promising not to sue if they paid back the money I lost with Carvana! They wouldn't even match Carvana's price for the sale, even though I can't sell the truck because the name is wrong on the title! A bunch of ass clowns running this company, avoid them at all cost! Took my car to get oil change and they raised cost for that and tire rotation my condenser needed a quote to replace and they quoted me 2k!!!! Called other shops and got quoted 600 dollars. Took my car in for a repair that involved draining the transmission fluid and refilling the transmission. After getting my car back and driving it my engine coolant turn to essentially peanut butter. Ford refused to take responsibility for it. I took it to a Dodge dealership, it is a Dodge, they said the only way that this could've happened was they put trans fluid inside the coolant tank. Called in advance to see if advertised truck was available before driving 30 miles. When I arrived the truck was sold! Then they wanted to show me a more expensive truck! During a conversation I asked for proof of when the truck was sold. To which there was no reply. In an email from the manager (with owner of the dealership CC'ed) I was told how sorry they were and they pride themselves on transparency. He was very professional from the moment I spoke with him on the phone to set up my appointment all the way through the process until my truck was ready (ahead of schedule!). He was very thorough in explaining all the repairs that where done to the truck. This was my first experience with Classic Ford in Galveston but it won't be my last. Terrible communication regarding anything!, especially how long we may be waiting for them to get to it. We were quoted 30 mins labor and we get here another dude tells us hour labor cost. What?! So here we are over 2.5 hours later and still don't have our truck. We were told 20 minutes ago they were clearing out codes and would have it ready. Ummm Never. Again. This is a five star service department for sure. Several weeks ago I traveled to Galveston for the weekend. I was having issues with my diesel engine, I took it in and Bobby my service advisor told me they would diagnose the problem as soon as possible. We were attempting to buy a truck from classic ford from another city. We found the truck online and contacted them via phone to ask if we could do the process online and they said we could. Once we did the application we had to contact the salesman to get any type of information. He said he didn't have any and would call us back. He never did, so again we contacted him and he said they needed further information which we provided. Again days passed with no contact. I was alerted that my credit was being ran by this dealership multiple days in a row so I called them to find out why. The salesman I spoke with didn't have any information and was supposed to have a finance manger call me back - they never did. We were still never contacted about the truck and when we went online we discovered that the truck had been taken off the website. We called and spoke with a manager named Taylor- he advised us that the truck had been sold. We were never contacted by the salesman about this and never given any type of information about what was going on. When we tried to make a complaint to the manger we were blown off and he acted as if he did not care. Very easy to deal with. I went in the afternoon before to get something else and asked about getting an oil change. They looked around but everyone had already left so they asked if I could come the next morning. I got there at 8 and they took my truck right back and changed the oil. read more
