Huge facility and very clean. Friendly staff members with a positive attitude. My family member attends gymnastics here. I always enjoy attending the facility and watching all the cool techniques that are taught. Today I attended their open house celebrating 11 years. It was a fun experience with pizza and cake served to all and they opened up the facility free of charge to anyone wanting to come and play/celebrate with them. Save your money and take child elsewhere! I enrolled my children and expected them to receive proper gymnastics training unfortunately Classic Gymnastics is not capable of anything close. Their "coaches" are a revolving door of children that lack the attention span or discipline to ensure success of any kind. When concerns were brought up regarding the lack of consistency from the "coaches" I received the same excuses of "transitioning" and "currently looking for more coaches" week after week. When practicing certain things such as bars, vault, trampoline, etc. kids are made to stand around waiting for their chance instead of a normal rotation through practices which would provide constant exercise. Additionally, the classes will generally start late and end early. In the end of it your kid is likely to get only 20 to 30 minutes. When complaints were made about training and unkept schedules I was first met with rude responses. After bringing up my concerns with Jenny she first tried to brush it off as if it was the first time there was an issue until I continued to persist with examples and was again was only given the same type of weak excuses heard before. I've never written a complaint for anyone before because I prefer to focus on the good points and think that, especially with sports, people generally mean to do well. Unfortunately, I feel in this case it's more prudent to save other parents the money and frustration of trying Classic Gymnastics services. read more

I pulled my children from "Coach Peggy"s class, and I will tell you why I am never taking them back. I have been a substitute teacher for public and private schools, a Sunday school teacher for the past 5-6 years, and have assisted in classes for a variety of ages. Firstly, I can tell you what makes a good teacher, and I can tell you that a 3 year old boy is extremely different from a 3 year old little girl. Secondly, if 3-5 year olds aren't given clear instructions as to what they are supposed to be doing, they will find something more interesting to do (such as play on the equipment or hanging rope, which the kids were repeatedly pulled out of class for touching...why not get rid of it so it's not a distraction for 3 year olds? But what do I know...). By the second class, I realized how the coach worked: the kids were not given instructions as to what they were doing during the lessons, they were just following the coach around, and if they fell out of line, they were immediately walked over to their parents to sit out. This is sometimes a few kids at a time, but at one point half the class was sitting against the wall on time out. Another problem is the coach's daughter, who although is not a part of the class, participates...to an extent...with the class. However, she is allowed to run around, break all the rules the other kids are being disciplined for, and allowed to hide behind structures, which I noticed the other children following her. Yet, she received no discipline or time outs from the coach. This was extremely frustrating to watch, since my kids had made friends with her, unfortunately. I brought my husband to this second class, just to make sure I wasn't over reacting. His largest complaint was that the unbreakable rules, which the children kept breaking, were never clearly articulated. Nor were the activities explained. There was music in the background, and sometimes they went along to the instructions in the music and sometimes they didn't, and it was up to the kids to figure that out. I was so embarrassed for my 3 year old son who was put on time out 3 times within 15 minutes for infractions neither of us understood, and after which I just kept him out to play with the rest of the boys behind the fence, I told my husband we are never humiliating our children with Coach Peggy's class again. Although my son is not perfect, I find it difficult to understand how he can be in other group activities and be an exemplary student, and yet be physically removed from this class so many times. This instructor is an embarrassment to the field of instruction, and I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to put her in charge of this class. It seems other parents of demure, 30 pound little girls think it's great though. So it gets one star. read more

my girls wanted to try gymnastics this summer and this is the only gymnastic place in town. So far I'm not satisfied with service, coaches are mostly teenagers and not organized, classes start late and end early. I am so glad I found this gem in Tracy, Ca. My daughters look forward to their classes each week. The instructors are energinic and patient! My only problem is how hot it is in the summer. The fans are simply not enough. read more

To those who mentioned coach Peggy, worry no longer, she is GONE!!! She was a bit different, and he coaching methods were a little off the wall but her employment with Classic Gymnastics was ended! Classic Gymnastics has come into some excellent coaches including two former HIGH level gymnasts Caroline and Cami! Classic has recently expanded their gym and viewing area! I feel most of the parents who wrote past reviews have the same concern as me. My daughter went to this place for about 2 months before I pulled her out. My daughter was 4 years old with no prior experience and I felt that she was neglect it. The coach never paid any attention to her or tried to show her the proper way of doing things. At the initial class the coach never even bothered to introduce herself neither to me or my daughter. It really seemed like the coach did not want to be there, she appeared moody and did not offer any "good jobs" or "nice try". Since the coach did not seem to care a bit about my daughter I decided to pull her out and take her to Manteca where thing are 100% different. read more

Love this place! I have 3 girls enrolled here and they all love it. All the staff is super friendly and great with kids!

I'm not sure what kind of show they are running here but things seem to be going very downhill. We used to be happy for the most part, needing to overlook the way that the owner acts at times, but now I'm not sure what is going on. There seem to be a lot of young kids coaching and they don't seem to know what they are doing. I had an issue with how practice was being run by one of these kids and couldn't find the owner anywhere to talk about the situation, but I'm sure she will chime in on here with another excuse. That's all I seem to hear from this gym. The only thing that matter to them is money and if they have your money anything that you are concerned about doesn't matter. read more

My daughter has been going to Classic gymnastics for about 6 months and we are happy to have her enrolled here. The gym and bathrooms are always clean, the staff is nice, and my daughter has learned a lot. We really enjoyed the holiday show that was put together and would do it again next year. The only complaint I have is there is not a lot of seating for parents who want to stay and view their children. It gets pretty cramped.. it would be awesome if there was a bigger parents seating area that was a little more accommodated to younger siblings who are coming to watch too. Besides the seating, we are happy to be here and will continue to tell all our friends to come here too. :-) read more

Staff is helpful, coaches are friendly. Our daughter started here a year ago. She loves it. She now goes twice a week. My son just started in the boys program and he has a phenomenal boys coach!! I would recommend this facility to anyone in the area. Only complaint I have is temperature control. Freezing in winter and hot in summer. I think class would be more enjoyable for everyone if climate was controlled. read more

Classic Gymnastics is the best gymnastics program we have used. I have two girls that have attended Classic for almost 3 years. They really enjoy the program. The owner, office staff and coaches are wonderful! My daughters do have some fears at times and their coaches really work with them to help them get past it. My girls have really improved in their skills and they love going to their practices. Classic is a true gymnastics program that gives students the opportunity to experience every aspect of gymnastics. I highly recommend Classic Gymnastics to anyone interested in the sport. read more

I had my daughter in classes off and on for a couple of years. We kept coming back because she loves gymnastics and this is the only place in Tracy. The owner is super nice as well as some of her staff, but the last class my daughter took she had an instructor whom neither of us cared for, Ms. Jade ( I believe was her name). My daughter was 5 at the time and was put into a 7 year old class, which is great in some ways, and not so great it others. She had the attention and listening abilities to be in that class but physically not so much. Every evening after class she would complain about how much her body hurt, and how sore she was. I thought this was probably a little normal, but then I started paying attention to what they were expecting her to do. It was a little much for her age. I looked into classes that were geared more towards her age, but they were all held by the same instructor. The instructor was very blunt, and seemed to not have any compassion. She seemed like she didn't want to be there and my daughter cried during a couple different classes. My daughter told me she felt she was being pushed too hard and reprimanded if she didn't complete the routine as asked. I understand coaching might be a difficult job and sometimes you need to be firm, but my daughter was in an older class and should have been treated as a younger child, because she was. One incident that sticks in my mind is that one day at drop off I walked her to the gate, Jade was standing there and I told my daughter to go into class. My daughter was being very shy. I made a comment that "she is being a little difficult today." Jade's reply was "you don't have to tell me, she is always difficult." Seriously? I am not being biased but my daughter is really not difficult. I work with children all day every day and she is a very sweet and respectful child. But even if she was, is that REALLY appropriate to say to a parent.? I was so upset and we have never gone back. I didn't even bring it up to the owner (who wasn't there at the time) but in hindsight I should have. read more

My girls attended here for 6 months. Lessons were okay - they liked them until they switched levels, at which point they were put in a class with a child significantly younger and that had behavior issues + the teacher rotated every week for some reason. My issues - I don't like their billing policies - I HATE being required to autodebit every month (I don't like companies with access to my bank account) and I also don't like that you are required to give a month notice before quitting.. thus when my children decided they hated lessons and didn't want to go anymore, I still had to pay $112 for nothing. Also, if you want to try it and see before you enroll your LO, they don't offer a free trial class. My feeling, overall, is that this company really does not care about customers. I never felt warmth or welcome from anyone that worked there; when I withdrew my daughters they didn't ask why or try to get our business back?.. They're the only game in town, so I guess they don't really need to care. read more
