Pilates has helped me so much with movement in my daily activities, while it is more costly than a gym, you get so much more with the instructors helping you in every class to ensure you are doing the movements correctly to get the most benefit. This studio is always kept clean and the staff are all friendly! I started Pilates several years ago when I retired and decided it was time to make health my priority! I will be doing Pilates the rest of my life! Sign up for an intro class and you won't regrets it! My only complaint is the classes do fill up quickly so I have learned to book as far ahead as possible.

Inflexible Policies That Prioritize Revenue Over Members…read more I am an unlimited member at Club Pilates Novi and I deeply regret joining. The policies here are anything but customer-friendly, and I want others to think twice before signing up. One of the most frustrating aspects is that none of these policies are clearly disclosed at the time of sign-up. You only discover them later -- often when it is too late and you are already locked into a membership. This lack of transparency at the outset is, in my opinion, the biggest red flag of all. To start with what you will eventually find out: classes fill up so quickly that unless you book at least a week in advance, you end up on a waitlist -- which defeats the purpose of being an unlimited member. On top of that, if you need to cancel within 24 hours, they charge you a $15 fee with no exceptions. My biggest frustration, however, stems from what happened after I suffered a shoulder injury. I placed my account on hold while I recovered. Just two days later, I gave my 30-day cancellation notice, only to be told that members cannot submit a cancellation notice while their account is on hold. This policy makes absolutely no sense. Because of this rule, I was forced to pay an additional ~$250 before I was even allowed to cancel my membership. To make matters worse, the studio claimed they had sent me an email about this policy -- but they had the wrong email address on file, so I never received it. Being held responsible for a communication that was never delivered to me is completely unacceptable. I understand that businesses need policies, but these rules feel designed to trap members and collect fees rather than support them. Had any of this been communicated upfront, I would never have signed up. Please do your research and ask detailed questions before committing to a membership here.

I found PureFit on Yelp and it seemed like an easy class to visit. So true! The instructor/owner Emily immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable. The class was perfect, just challenging enough and fun. I wasn't sure about the space--it's in a church--but there's a good, open feel as soon as you walk in and the space where the class is held is spacious. Emily uses the mic well so you can easily hear but it isn't loud. The cost is very reasonable. If we lived in the area I would be a regular at PureFit Yoga and Pilates.

I am…read moresomeone who has experimented with many types of workouts and have had to pivot due to injuries, but barre has quickly become a staple workout routine for me. It is challenging while also mostly low impact and you will use a combo of bands, balls, weights, the barre itself and other equipment which truly helps to shape and tone the body. I was a bit skeptical at first about this workout as I prefer high intensity and drowning in sweat = a workout well done but this workout still manages to help me break a sweat, and challenge my body and tone me in ways other exercises have been unable to touch. Also importantly, the instructors can help you to modify any exercises if you have existing injuries. There is a workout here for everyone: classic is great, especially if you are new to barre; empower is great if you crave a high intensity workout with a barre twist and reform is great for strengthening your core with Pilates type movements and resistance bands being utilized. The work outs are similar to each other but each work out session is unique which keeps things interesting plus the high energy music played is awesome to keep you engaged and your heart rate pumping. The owner Bridget is warm and welcoming and has amazing instructors here - Ani and Jade to name a few are wonderful. Bridget keeps things exciting here by planning fun events, offering fun challenges that can lead to prizes and / or discounts, and celebrating the holidays and even offering little bonuses such as a eucalyptus towel to cool down after workouts. The environment here is very positive and overall most of the attendees are decently friendly. Bridget also stocks very cute tavi noir and toe Sox along with some of the cutest yoga / barre / Pilates apparel I've seen! I love shopping here also for my workout clothes and discovered the brand Beyond Yoga thanks to Bridget curating some epic workout styles here! The only con is I do wish more classes were offered after 6 pm on the weekdays and adding one early afternoon class as opposed to mornings on the weekends would also make this place even better for me, as the classes can occasionally fill up so you do have to reserve a class sometimes in advance depending on the time slot. The staff is understanding if something comes up last minute and if you call to let them know you cannot make a class you intended to which is very helpful also. Bridget is considerate always offering fruit, water, and other treats to her students. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely care about their students. They are willing to provide modifications and hands-on adjustments, which are appreciated. Their energy is contagious and they are so positive. Each instructor comes with their own skill set. With that, they each bring in their background of dancing, athletics, teaching, and the corporate world. Every time I walk into the studio I am greeted with a friendly warm hello and a smiley face. I have met some of the strongest, kindest, and most thoughtful women. Finally, I have had a membership for two years and it has been a game-changer. PBN is a part of my life and I am so thankful!

I watched a guy in the hot tub get his glasses knocked off his face and broken by a kid jumping in despite the 18 or older sign. The lifeguards ignore it all. Adult swim time is extremely limited. Wanted to learn Pilates. Class hours are sparse. I took 3 classes but stopped when I hurt my back - the instructor was disinterested. I get closer coaching at independent studios. The kids use the weight machines to sit and scroll on their phones. Not a lot of working out going on while I'm waiting. I never see anyone clean a machine after they use it so I clean before and after each machine use. The locker room bathroom is pretty gross, staff just can't possibly keep up with the crowds. I'm forced to head back to Planet Fitness where membership costs are reasonable. No pool but I can't use it at Lifetime anyway so I may as well stay at Planet Fitness. This is so disappointing, I had high hopes because they have so much to offer. Planet Fitness is closer to home and more adult.

She sent me a link to my phone, but I never really filled it out because I knew I wanted to cancel my membership and I Just didn't wanna be rude in person. I ended up getting charged for another full month so I called them and asked them what was going on since I had canceled my membership and they told me the last payment I paid was it. Then they tried gaslighting me saying that I still have one more payment to make and then my membership is canceled I told them that last time I was on the phone they said I wouldn't have to make any more payments. They said there was miscommunication, but I really think that because I'm a young woman they were trying to take advantage of me. I mentioned the situation to my dad and he felt it wasn't right and decided to show up to the establishment himself and once he did, they got back to us an hour later saying that we were right. But this was after I was on the phone with them back-and-forth and having them trying to say that I still owe the money, blah blah blah, and that because me and her talked about putting my account on hold they didn't actually cancel my membership, which doesn't make any sense. I never signed anything saying I wanted to put my account on hold once it was canceled. I received confirmation which tells me the first time I canceled my membership. They didn't actually cancel it, even though everything was in person and signed by both me and another team member. The staff was nice and the classes were OK but the management in this establishment is ridiculous and definitely fraudulent. I'm disgusted by the way Kavitha is running this business. Memberships are over $100 a month so that's a lot of money to just take out of somebody's account when they already had it in place that they were canceling. If you wanna try title, don't go to this location.

My home studio is fine having 2 people on one side and 4 on the other. That's just pure laziness. Horrible music that was more what I would hear when relaxing. And coach was a glorified bell man instead of a coach giving instructions for proper training, encouraging people or God forbit, getting to know them or their name. And then at the end she says to one student that she has to work the entire weekend, unfortunately! Way to go being motivated.

I have always believed in a life long journey of fitness so having a personal trainer was a norm. After leaving lifetime, I needed to find my new jam. Luckily, OT offers a complementary class to see if this would be a good fit. Well hello, it sure is! I met Coach Steve who was uber energetic, positive, and helpful. I got to class 30 mins early to learn the process, rules, equipment, etc. I'm a science nerd, so loved that this company really looked at the science of working out and made it super easy. Now the workouts, not so easy, but it's based on what you put in and your fitness level. I love that I compete with myself. I love that there is a cheerleader motivating you. I love that the community there is so helpful. My OT neighbor helped me through my first class. Amazing peeps. I signed up for the premium membership. Love that I'm not committed to one location with all the travel I do. Easy app to sign up for classes and see my data. Yes, I'm a data nerd too. Love my daily emails and that I can always look up my stats on my app. Check OT out! You will love, love, love it!!!
