Been here a lot. They do good work very honest and Upfront about cost. There is a self service section for vacuuming if you like. It's in a bad area though as far as getting in and out of. There is a complimentary coffee station for customers, Which is nice. If they have any small car clean bags grab one they are handy and good way to help keep your car clean. If they have the staffing and it s nice day, They have a waxing area which they do a great job on. Down side is they are somedays short staffed or might have a tired crew on. So you might have a slight variation on the over all job. It is still a good deal for what you get and you'll be happy when you leave. read more

This place used to be solid, not now it seems to be falling apart. Drove into the wash and the damaged rails took a big chunk out of my rim. After it happened I asked the attendant why and he mentioned they needed to get a replacement part, but said it was just plastic and hadn't done anything to my rim. Really disappointed, as I used to come here exclusively for my car washes. Would advise you to find a different car wash in the area. read more

I just paid $35 for the premium interior and exterior wash. It felt like a fair price - especially since the car is practically new and was not very dirty. The exterior cleaning was fine. But the interior was marginal at best. I own an SUV and the back area of the car was not even touched....not even vacuumed. The driver's area had not been wiped down or dusted. The weather tech matts were put in soaking wet which made the seats wet. When I got in my car and turned on my radio I almost blew out my eardrums. Expecting the news station I was listening to, I was assaulted with blaring hip hop. It would not have taken much for me to be a happy customer. * Vacuum the whole car * Wipe down the console and dash *Put the station and volume where it was. It was shoddy job and I will not go back. I think maybe people get this place confused with an auto-detailing business. At Classy, for around $28, you get the inside cleaned (feel free to be nice and remove a little of your trash, but they will do it for you), vacuumed, the interior and interior windows wiped down, and you get the car wash with the underside wash. They have an assembly line kind of thing going where each dude has his job and they knock them out pretty quickly. If you're looking for a full interior cleaning down to the smallest nooks and crannies, you're looking for an auto-detailing place, which will cost you a lot more money. The guys that are working here have always been professional and friendly, and they seem to really have it down so you can get in and out of there quickly. My lady's car has some sort of extraterrestrial sap on it that will apparently never come off even with lighter fluid, nail polish remover, etc. but I'll give Classy credit for taking the time to try after one recent wash. Your car may not come out looking like it was just bought off the lot, but it's less than $30 and I think a good value for what you get. read more

Sadly, not what I was hoping for. Staff pretty poor (attitude-wise) from the git go. You can watch the car go through (if you're getting full service) and I watched car after car get through to the dryers with plenty of soap still on them because the rise was so weak. Still, I did watch the last couple of guys do a thorough job of wiping windows so I thought I 'd be sure to give them a tip. Unfortunately when I went around to the passenger side door to return some of my things into the car and get some cash from my glovebox i got a good look at the interior, including the center console which had not been touched at all. I love this place! I've lived in a couple different states and towns/cities and this car wash is my all-time favorite. I actually just left there a minute ago, after getting my usual, the "Silver" interior/exterior service for $22. It's a deal that can't be beat (and to my knowledge hasn't been - in the area at least). I think the interior/exterior pricing starts at $18 btw, but I like the upgraded wash. So for the $22 I get interior vacuuming of floors & seats, wipe down of dash and all vinyl surfaces, wash windows, and then my car goes through the car wash. Its like a mini detail job!! The actual car wash itself is pretty nice and they seem to update the fabric/washer/wiper things frequently so your car isn't getting scuffed up with dirty gritty wiper thingies (that's the official name "wiper thingies"). The guys who work there are also usually very nice and accommodating. Whenever I ask them to give a little extra vacuum love to a particularly dirty spot, they say no problem! I'm really picky about my car wash and I won't go anywhere else! read more

They charged me for add-on service that they didn't provide. Went through because car was covered in salt after what was still a tame winter. I went through the drive-thru lane and ordered the standard clean for $9. Then I noticed it doesn't clean the underbody, which is 90% of the reason you should wash your car. I gave the guy another 3-bucks for underbody cleaner. Want to know what the car looked like afterwards? The bottom was still covered in mud/salt... How does this happen? Understandably, I guess the owners don't think anyone will literally get on their knees... to check their car. This is New England, a car with salt on the bottom is a game changer. I just got my car exterior washed for $4! That price is only during happy hours which is 5-6pm mon-sat. You put your car on neutral and let go of the brakes and the automatic car wash does everything for you. I didn't get a receipt though like last time. Last time I got the bronze package and on the receipt it says if you save 10 reciepts, you get a free gold package car wash. read more

Went in today to give my car a little post-winter/pre-spring cleaning. Not as worried about the exterior, I made it very clear to the guy doing the interior that I wanted him to spend a lot of time vacuuming out all the winter crud and dirt, and even gave him a $5 tip (on a $20 wash). When the car came out of the wash, not only were there literally puddles of soapy water in the cupholders, but the vacuuming job was terrible. I pulled around and pointed out all of the areas that had been missed, and asked him to do it again - he made a half-assed effort to do it, and I didn't want to put up any more of an argument. For a place called "Classy Chassie," I'd say their service and the job they do is anything but classy. read more

I ordered the top service and when they delivered the car, the sides and back of my Audi sedan were still dirty, the interior was filthy, the car was still dripping wet, and all settings had been screwed (which could not have been accidental). Coming from Cali didn't really understand the need to wash your car after snow or the first sign of clear weather after snow...the salt on the roads!!!! Brought my car from Cali and gave it her first wash here. Cost reasonable but what I love are the free vacuum cleaners! They did a very good job and know exactly where the problem areas where all the east coast mud/snow collects on a car. 10 mins later my car was ready for the next storm! I purchased the platinum options, which is the most expensive and is the full service, inside and out cleaning. I asked that my trunk be vacuumed, as well as the back of my car. None of it was done. The whole thing was done in less than 8 minutes, costing me $30. I used to come here years ago and they always did such a good job. However, I won't be returning. They do a good job cleaning my car, inside and out. However, their receipts say "Save 10 Receipts for Gold Wash." What they don't tell you is that when you turn in your 10 receipts and ask for your Gold Wash, which costs $27, they only give you $18 of that free, and you have to pay $9. Is this legal? Probably. The line tends to get pretty long on a warm day in the winter (out to the road), especially during their happy hour. However they do a fine exterior wash, blow and hand dry, although the undercarriage wash doesn't seem to get all the dirt out of the wheel well. They have four self service stations with a vacuum. Uses the self service wash today and the water is clearly not filtered very weill. I'm not cheap about my time and do a very good job, yet noticed my car is still covered with grime. Wish I could actually review the services at this place but I can't because I showed up and they were closed on a Thursday. I saw a bunch of cars in the parking lot and there were people inside. So, confused, I decided to call and make sure I was at the right place. The guy I spoke to said "yea, sorry we closed because of uh.. The weather. We'll be open tomorrow." That obviously didn't help me today. The weather? It snowed less than an inch last night and stopped before morning and proceeded to melt throughout the day. It's April 9th for gods sake. How did they manage to stay in business all winter? Absolutely ridiculous and inconvenient. Probably a blessing in disguise considering I was about to drop close to $100 on a serious detailing and it seems that they can't even get that right. Won't be back. Ever. read more

I thought I would at least be getting inside wiped down , polished and vacuum but nope I got a job I could of done myself for less. Buying the full service gold package and leaving with a car that is actually dirtier than when it came in is beyond disappointing. Just paid $25 for the gold full service wash. What a rip off. The exterior looks ok, but no better than a drive-thru car wash at a gas station. The real issue is the interior. They didn't even wash the rear windows of the hatchback or wipe down any of the door jams or doors. They also failed to wipe down or vacuum out the center console/cup holder areas. Granted, our car was dirty, but I expected it to come back looking really clean for $25. Ended up having to redo the interior myself at home so should've just done the whole thing and saved the money. I definitely won't be going back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you're looking for a good interior wash. read more

Have a seat and have a happy beverage handy when you're reading this one :0). My first time and probably my last. My husband suggested Classy Chassie (Full Service) Car Wash at 1139 Forest Ave in Portland because he had used them in previous years and had been very satisfied. I made a special trip across town and what a disappointment. I purchased the Silver Package ($24 + a tip) which included the interior clean & exterior wash with under carriage wash, wheel magic (the magic was missing completely) & a triple foam wax. As I watched my car come thru the wash & rinse cycle, I noticed that the entire door panel of the driver's side was not getting rinsed. Now mind you the rest of the car was getting rinsed off (couldn't see the other side though) although the water spray was missing some areas. Whatever. Anyway, the car then moved thru the drying cycle with the sudsy residue still on the door and window. Two men were standing waiting for my car to complete then proceeded to wipe down the car with the suds still on! I'm sure you know what sort of streaky film that left on the door window. ( I assumed that one of the two men who was waiting for the cycle to complete would notice the suds and somehow get it rinsed off before the final wipe down. NOT SO! The other insufficiently rinsed areas on the car were just wiped down (well not exactly fully wiped) as well. The two men didn't seem bothered by it. I was then waved at to let me know that my car was ready. Complaining even when I should is not something that I do easily or well (my husband - not a problem!) but I summoned up the courage to ask one of the gentlemen what was up with the sudsy residue not to mention the other unclean and unwiped areas. The gentleman told me with a blank look that it was probably due to the residue from the wax and that I'd need to talk to the manager. Why did the rest of the car not have that sudsy residue before it got to the drying stage? So I drove back around and waited in line (at this point there was a pickup in front of me having just started to have the "Full Service" done and 2 other cars behind me waiting). As I was waiting, I noticed some overspray of glass cleaner on the sides of the interior of the windshield that had apparently been overlooked (?) and not wiped down. After a few minutes the manager came out and I rolled down my window and asked the same question about the sudsy residue. The gentleman looked at me blankly and told me it was probably due to wax residue. Same question from me - Why did the rest of the car not have this sudsy residue before it got to the drying stage? I've had spray on waxes at car washes before, but have never seen it leave a soapy residue as this. Then I was told that the car could be put thru the wash/dry again or hosed off in one of the bays. Frustrated at the time I had wasted at this point, I told the manager that I would just pull into one of the bays and rinse it off. Long story short I pulled into one of the bays, the manager turned on the hose and I ended up rinsing the car off myself. Job NOT well done Classy Chassie. What does the logo "Portland's Finest Full Service Car Wash Since 1960" stand for if it's not for pride, leadership and great customer service?
