I have nothing but good things to say about Classy Cuts. I went by my normal barber Saturday morning for a haircut, but he closed for renovations so I had no idea where to go. I was just browsing the interwebs for random barbershop/salon's in Middletown and I happened to stumble across Classy Cuts, saw the reviews and decided to give them a try and I don't regret it. I walked in, was instantly greeted by a super friendly girl and waited for maybe five minutes and got in a chair. Scarlett did an awesome job on my haircut, at first I was nervous because you never know what to expect when someone new (new to me) is cutting your hair and she surpassed my expectations. I went in last September of 2021 to get my hair highlighted. I wanted more of a natural highlights. I didn't like how few choices there were for hair color. My highlights came out really chunky and blunt looking. I was not happy with them, even though I had said that I was. It was my first time getting highlights. Classy cuts has grown on me. For being in Middletown for school for 2 years and getting my haircut every couple of months here, I appreciate their fast service and politeness. This is a review for men's haircuts so I can't comment on women's haircuts. However, I feel that I get a good haircut every time I go here. If there's any changes needed, I just ask and they'll fix it. I've gotten a haircut with just about every single person who works here and they're all very polite, caring, and do their job well. This place is absolutely crap! The people who are getting a hair cut here for the first time are just given to the worst barbers. The one I got was a women who smelled like she's sprayed on smoke perfume and talked like she's high as a kite. If I didn't need a haircut badly I would have left, but I was in urgent need of a haircut. During the haircut barber put gel in my hair so that I couldn't see all the mistakes she made, but when I got home HOLY.... there were bits of hair missing all over my head!!! Been coming to this place for 2 years and Sherri is the nicest hair stylist I've ever had. She's always in a good mood and makes the experience very comfortable for everyone and anyone who comes in. If I could rate this place a zero I would. On top of that, I could have probably gotten a better haircut from my dogs groomer. I should have known better. The owner was rude and honestly, based on looking at her hair I should have known better. All I wanted was a nice haircut and to feel good about myself bc I hadn't treated myself in years and the only thing that happened was that I walked out of there looking like a cross between a munchkin from the wizard of oz. and willy wonka. I have had my hair cut at Classy Cuts probably eight or nine times, and i keep going back when i'm near Middletown. Jessica or Wendy or Vito have all worked with me, and i am kind of a stickler about my exact sort of haircut, short on the sides, kind of spiked on top, but still business-like enough for my job of teaching. Expensive....more like they overcharge for the smallest things. Took my baby cousin today for a fade or w.e. It's called. He just needed the edges cleaned up and a lil above that. Last time he did it, it was $10 but today it was $16 even though his barber told him it wouldn't be so. However, the owner, the only male in there at the time, insisted it's $16 and would never be $10. The only reason I went back was for the good price. Now, I will never go back. read more

I've been to this salon multiple times for a cut and they always did a great job with my unruly curly hair. So when it was time to try dying my hair for the first time ever, I obviously came here. Communication sucks i used to go to the salon classy Cuts On route 211... I went there about a couple weeks ago for eyebrow wax when I got there there was a sign on the window saying they were closed. I was a little upset due to the fact I have appointment two weeks to get my hair done and no one even called to tell me that they were closed. I called the Dolson Avenue store and spoke to a woman on the phone who just really upset me she didn't get the picture of what I was trying to say I asked why didn't anybody call me to tell me the salon was closed. She said to me well we're still working on making phone calls I said to her I've been going there for four years on 211 to the same person to do my hair. I said as a paying customer phone call should've been made she said to me were still working on it but if you like you can come to the salon on Dolson Avenue I said to her I'm not going to Dolson Avenue I don't know anybody there on top of that I'm a little upset about how you guys run your salon. I'm very upset and outraged mind you my appointment is set for next week and still no phone call to let me know the salon is closed unprofessional will not recommend anyone they obviously don't know how to run the salon read more
