He not only fixed it, but removed a link so it would fit me better for no extra charge, and hurried after me after I picked up my bracelet to give me the extra link in case I ever needed it. I was looking for a good jewelry shop to go to in the local Sunland-Tujunga area and this place was recommended to me by a few people. It is located in the Sunland Mall Shopping Center, right by a Starbucks and Subway across the lot from the Pizza Hut. My first impression walking it was they have a nice selection of items in the store. I was surprised to see a shop like this in Sunland-Tujunga. It was so nice, clean and well organized. Before going to the shop, I called on Monday afternoon to ask if they could help me size me ring finger. The man who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful and said that would be no problem and he would be glad to help me. Wednesday late morning I went to the shop to get my ring finger sized and Luther was there to help me figure out which size would fit me best. He was very helpful and informative and answered all my questions and concerns. After he help size my finger I was really grateful that there was no pressure to purchase anything. Since I was there I decided to look at other items since mother's day is just around the corner and I haven't purchased anything for my mom yet. I know she really likes pearls so I asked Luther to show me what kind of pearls they had in the store. They had a decent amount of pearls to choice from. I got a nice pair of white gold pearl earrings with diamond accents. I also got a discount on the price as well and I didn't even ask for one!! I give the service and selection 4 stars! I have gone here a couple of times in the past for a watch band,a pin for the band(they didn't charge me for that and put it in for me),battery and even though they weren't really making anything off me,the way they treated me was like i was buying a diamond ring.Very friendly people.So a couple of days ago i had some gold i wanted to sell and rememberd seeing a sign in their window,they now buy gold and silver.I knew there was a place on my side of the street that just buys gold and silver,but why go there i thought to myself.So i went to classy jewelers and had them appraise my gold.They said they would give me$220.00 for my 8.4 grams of 14k gold.Because i really needed more then that i took my gold across the street to see if i could get more.They wanted to give me$187.00.By now classy jewelers was closed.So i went home and called Kevens jewelers before taking the bus there.They said they could not tell me over the phone how much they would pay me because the price of gold go's up and down daily.Doesn't make sinse to me why they could not tell me what they would pay for 8.4 grams of 14 k gold that day over the phone,unless they give everybody a differen't amount and need to size you up at the counter in order to tell you a price they think you might take,whats the secret.So i asked them to at least tell me what persentage they take.They said 60%.That would of been $158.95.No wonder they can give three days and two nights at a hotel in Los Vegas,but i wouldn't of got that,because i didn't have enough gold i guess.They never brought it up.Well after two days trying to find the best deal, i realized the best deal around for selling my gold was classy jewelers across the street in my back yard.I called them to ask if they would still buy my gold and told them i knew gold went down in the last two days and i knew i would get less.They told me it was ok come in and they would still give me the $220.00.That was more then anybody else wanted to give.I went from feeling bad about needing to sell my gold to i just can't say enough good things about CLASSY JEWLERS IN SUNLAND.I highly recommend going there for any reason.I would give them more then five stars if i could.Sincerely:Chris Wells. read more
