My hair was so badly damaged from numerous of things but the meds I was on for 3 weeks has taken my shoulder length hair down to almost ground "zero" before sitting in his chair. I had received tons of "bad advice" to just cut it all off and start fresh because it was ALL DEAD HAIR & couldn't be saved in which wasn't an option for me. There were too many commitments I had before me to be scrambling around just to be presentable. I informed Mohammed of what all I had gone through with my hair since September 2025 going from shoulder length to (mid ear on one side & just above the ear on the other)from so much breakage and it falling out in clumps . Mohammed felt the texture of my hair all over, and urged me to sit down. He asked and "who said you needed to cut it all off"? No, I could fix this he got to work and trimmed it to the point where it appeared to still have some life left in it. It also appeared to look healthy, although I was a lot more "bald headed" , (not really) but the hair that wasn't as damaged he INDEED saved. Moving forward 3 months later, Luckily for me my hair grows rather quickly. It was right at the tip of my shoulders ( but still damaged a bit from February) I was back yet again, Today for color and ANOTHER one of his magical trims and he DEFINITELY came through on both. Mohammed (Abdou) NOT ONLY invested in my healthy hair journey by gave me so many great tips on Do's/Dont's for my hair going forward. I was also not feeling well due to Allergies, asthma, and laryngitis he also, gave great and caring advice regarding that as well. He felt like apart of my extended family. What a Gracious and Generous soul I am forever grateful that I was spiritually lead to pass up all the other shops I could have and ALMOST stopped in for advice on my hair loss catastrophe, and was lead right to him. The vibe was calm, relaxed, and chill. #ChaosFREE So I had actually gone there yesterday (5/26/26 to be serviced but he wasn't there. I'm so happy I waited to come back the next day(Called first) and he said "come right on, I'll be waiting for you"

I was nervous at first because that was the first time im trying a new branch for my eyelash since i have been moving a lot. I went there, the place is decently spacey and also they have a lot of customers which is a plus for me because thats how i know that they are good because people actually come over there. I got my eyelashes done and I LOVE IT! It looks natural and it lasts for 4 weeks now. Keep in mind you can come back in 3 weeks after you get them done for refills. Customer service was really good and they are very friendly. I would recommend this for people who are trying to get their EYELASHES done. When I arrived, I was told the students don't come in until 5:30. I was patient, but by 6:15 I was still waiting. When I asked for an update, the front desk staff--who was kind at first--became noticeably rude and simply said the student was "getting ready." I don't understand why an appointment would be booked at 5:00 if the person isn't even available until later, or why it would take over an hour to "get ready." On top of that, the bathroom was extremely dirty and the overall environment felt unclean. I understand it's a school, but the lack of professionalism and cleanliness was unacceptable. I won't be returning.

I got there for my appointment with her. She wasn't there, and I texted her and she told me that my appointment was set for Saturday at 1. So I'm like OK, we obviously have some type of error with StyleSeat, can you cancel the appointment and make sure my card is NOT charged. This morning my card was charged 50%. I text her and the only thing she keeps saying is that's the cancellation policy. Ok we both know that. But I also know that my appointment was set up for Friday not Saturday. I have emails and texts for the last two weeks showing this. She is still refusing to refund it. She won't agree that this is an OBVIOUS exception to the rule IF it was even an error. I'm pretty sure she changed my appointment behind the scenes without me knowing and I didn't know the issue until WITHIN 24 hours of my appointment so she was able to cancel the appointment that I didn't make(but she did behind the scenes) and charge 50% late cancel fee! And even though I asked her ahead of time to make sure my card is NOT charged. She still charged it and is stating that she can't give refunds. OK.... she obviously needs the money more than me to do this....But watch out for this lil scam if you use StyleSeat.

First and foremost the professionalism of my Braid Technician was so refreshing!! She was Organized, and worked expeditiously, giving me the flawless braids I desired. Appointments are made on her App. , a deposit is required and applied to your balance, she communicated with me every step of the process. I had an appt a few weeks ago with Serina that was really disappointing. I have natural hair and I…read morehad just taken out a protective style after wearing it for a few months. Serina was aware of the status of my hair. I showed up on time for my 8:30am appt and I had to wait an entire hour before Serina even started my hair. When I finally got to the sink, she was on and off the phone throughout washing my hair. At one point she stopped and went into the break room to finish her call while I sat with shampoo sitting in my hair. While detangling my hair Serina stops and tells me that it will be an additional $20 because I have natural hair. She said she thought I had a relaxer. I never said I had a relaxer, I expressed that I had just grown my hair out from a buzz cut and I walked into the shop with an afro. It seemed like she just got tired of combing and decided to charge me more money on the spot. This natural hair charge did not include ANY conditioning treatment. After months of a natural style your hair should be deep conditioned, especially before putting heat on your natural hair for the first time. Serina was also aware that I detangled my hair before I came. So I was charged for having natural hair after doing most of the work for it. I had originally come in for a new hair cut and changed my mind. I asked her to just trim the ends and I'll style it myself later. She told me that the way I wanted to style my hair would not look good if she trimmed all of my dead ends (not an opinion I asked for) She also insisted that I try a different cut that I knew I wouldn't like. I had to say no several times before she stopped. She then only trims some of my dead ends but still charges me the full $20 for that part of the service. I still had greenish ends from dying my buzz cut (see below). I spent $105 for a service that damaged my natural hair and I still have dead ends. I believe a $40 refund would be appropriate for the surprise charge and incomplete trim. This is why natural haired folks don't trust salons. We just do it ourselves. My mother frequents this salon for a different stylist. She has asked Serina about this incident. She suggested that I would do much better with a relaxer (poisonous chemicals) in my hair. Serina also claims that she gave me a discount on my ends being trimmed. During the appt I was told a full cut was $40 and just dead ends would be $20. I was not given any discount on the half done service. Serina also claims that it would've been an additional $40 on top of the $20 natural hair fee for a deep conditioning. Something she didn't even mention/offer to me during the appt. And this is 30 years of experience?? I would've spent $80 before my hair was even dry IF she chose to tell me all of my options to actually care for my hair.
