Jenny did a really terrible job with my nails I tried to correct her in the process but she just doesn't have the skills to glue acrylic tips correctly nor does she have any idea about how to file them at all. When filing the nails she also damaged the edges which I haven't noticed until when I got back home. I came back to the salon asked them politely to fix it and they refused and manager was extreme rude when I tried to complain. He literary asked me " are you done talking" in a very rude way. I paid $81 for these nails and they just look awful I asked for almond shape and I literarily got triangles pointing upward. They did not even try to help and were extremely rude. I have been going to Classy Nail Spa every two weeks for almost a year (both in Ankeny and Urbandale). I have been very disappointed as of late with the quality of my dip nails. I leave and my nails are sloppy, and get home only to notice imperfections in the top coat. This has happened the last 3 times. I really enjoy the online booking system and availability, but will be taking my business elsewhere as I can no longer expect to receive a consistent service. read more

I've been going to Classy in Urbandale since March, so maybe 5 visits so far. I always request Lynn & she does a fantastic job (she's really great at feathering the dip toward the cuticle so it doesn't stick up, if that makes sense). The whole salon is amazingly clean. Lynn has always told me if I request something that will be an additional charge. The very best part: being able to schedule an appointment online. I never have to wait & the process is so easy. Definitely the go-to salon for me & my daughters. read more

The pedi itself was fine but I was surprised I wasn't offered a drink, considering they had a bar at the entrance! And I was left after closing time with towels wrapped around my legs and toe separators but the nail tech left me. She had given me the ticket and told me to pay up front. I thought she would come back. I ended up taking the towels off and removing the toe thingy and walked out barefoot 15 minutes after closing time. So weird! Right after I got to my car, 3 of the 4 employees, including my nail tech, walked out to their cars. I'm not sure I'll go back. If I do I'll ask for a different nail tech and go earlier in the day. read more

Not a good experience with my friends and I. We went to the salon hoping for good pricing knowing they had a group 15% off discount. Not sure how they were still 75 dollars with that discount, definitely a scam. My friend got cut and had a bad experience with what she had hoped for on her nails. They didn't provide the basic chrome she wanted and instead put gold and unicorn chrome. They left the underside of all of our nails looking like we dug in dirt. I understand nothing can be perfect but with the multiple things that went wrong it's not worth ur time going. read more

I visited Classy nails and spa on Friday, March 14th, for a pedicure and basic manicure. This was my second visit and I really enjoyed my first visit there 2 months before. Started with pedicure and things were going ok till my person was pulled away in the middle of my pedicure to do a waxing for a different client. I excused that and said ok. I was then moved to the manicure table and noticed things were rushed from that point on. She rushed through my manicure gave me my ticket said wait 10 minutes or till dry. She left and never checked back. I noticed that there was dried polish on the side of 2 toe nails. I notified the guy at the front desk and he seemed bothered but told me to sit in the chair. After 10 mns sitting he finally came over attended to it. I had to point out what needed to be cleaned up and he just wiped it put more polish on my toes and left. I really like this place and will give them another chance but for the amount of money spent the customer service could have been a little better read more

I've been to this salon twice. The manager and staff are very polite, and fun to talk to. Cleanliness is a priority for me, and I really like how clean the salon feels, and how they seem to do what they can to ensure a clean and safe experience for their customers; however, I feel very limited on the colors I can choose from, and I wish they had more and better options of gel polishes and dip powders. Additionally, and the main reason why I rate the salon three stars is because the first gel manicure I got peeled off within the first week. I was determined to like this nail salon, so I went back a second time to try a different technician, but this experience was worse: she butchered my cuticles! I honestly do not believe that she ever had training on how to trim cuticles. She was picking them in multiple tiny sections, and this resulted in cuticles that were fraying down to my knuckle for several days. It was so painful. I might go back to this salon for pedicures because it is clean and conveniently located, but I am not sure I will go back for manicures. I will update my review if my future experiences are better. read more
