I found this place through a friend who highly recommended it to me and I'm SO GLAD SHE DID! While it is slightly more expensive than the place I would usually go to, it's for good reasoning. My nails last anywhere from 3-4 weeks without chipping, lifting, anything. I go for a fill simply because of the growth, not because of the lifting like I usually have. Other places, I'll barely get 2 weeks out of them. Kath did my nails both times and she is extremely professional, kind, and receptive to my crazy nail requests COVID-19 notes: immaculately clean, sanitized, everyone who enters washed their hands immediately, and all workers are wearing masks. The ambiance is very relaxing, even in this strange covid-world! Honestly, you get what you pay for. I could go to my old place that's $20 cheaper (total) and get something that lasts -maybe- two weeks tops (with lots of lifting after a few days), or I can come here and get exactly what I want and ask for and know that they're high quality and definitely going to last! This was a horrible experience. First, I wanted over 20 minutes, then I was finally seated. I indicated that I had a gel nail top coat on, and that it is easiest to file off. The tech then continued on to grind off literally my entire nail, and was constantly nicking my skin, which really hurt! She didn't even take off al of the color, just went ahead and put the acrylic fill in right over the old color. She then hurried through the rest of my nails, and as you can see the end product was horrific! When I asked her to fix it, I was told to come back Monday. I asked another tech to fix it, and was told either I pay for it or come back Monday. I'm a working parent, so I rely don't have time to return and have something corrected that shouldn't of ever happened! This was my first time here and for all the great reviews I saw I was definitely disappointed with the quality of work. It was a shellac mani nothing too crazy. As you can see in the photos the top coat was not applied to the whole nail, it's missing the sides. The people were really friendly, the salon was very clean and pretty and they even offered complimentary drink, I was really really hoping I would have a good result. Extremely long wait times, under staffed, no highly trained nail techs, over priced! Went twice now and left feeling underwhelmed. This time I'm upset that my nails were all filed so thin that they are flimsy even with shellac on. Polish looks wavy and all have stress cracks on the edges where pressure has been applied. Last time I went I soaked in acetone for 2 hours before they finally got to me! The only thing I would maybe recommend here is the dip powder and even with that it depends on who does it because if not done properly it will be very thick and unattractive. I highly suggest doing some research before patronizing this place. Staff is nice but I'm more concerned with the health of my nails. Disappointed to say they least!!! read more

Let me start by saying I have zero issues with the work. My nails look really good. Done by the woman I think is the owner. My issue is simply that this place is beyond expensive. $35 for an acrylic fill, with no repairs. Apparently having your nails cut down (as you'll need to do from time to time since nails grow) is $5. Then another $5 to have them shaped. Even a kid mani-pedi (with regular polish) is like 40 bucks . So just know that should u decide to go, it may cost you wayyyyyy more than you planned. read more

Updated at bottom after response from Classy Nails & Spa! Super pricey for no reason. The experience definitely wasn't worth the price. My little sister asked for her nails to be rounded and they completely chopped her beautiful long nails off. Then she wanted dots on her nails and they claimed it's $5 a nail for a design. Her mani and polish cost $40! I went in for a fill and two nail repairs and that cost me $45! My original set was from Tip Top Nails was $28 and was a million times better! I told her what colors I wanted and she basically refused to use them. I wanted softer colors but she insisted on using super vibrant colors which aren't my go to. I prefer pastels and softer colors and I would've enjoyed my set more if she would've listened. Overall not a great experience. Definitely would've gone to Tip Top Nails if they weren't so busy. Wouldn't recommend. Update: let's start with none of these outrageous prices were communicated. If my sister, who is a child, asked for dots on all of her fingers wouldn't it be nice to know that each finger costs $5? I'll upload a picture of her nails because you can see where the nail tech stopped caring. Two of her nails had a design then once my mother spoke with her to finally find out the price and what was going on she stopped caring. Then began putting random dots down. My mother agreed to prices. In conclusion a child's manicure and polish with dots would've been $80. I appreciate you guys coming down on the price but still that pricing is quite unfair. During my sisters nail process before and after my mother or I were asked questions to determine how her nails were to look. I'm unsure as to why you decided not to ask me if she needed her nails completely cut off. It's not to control her but she is a child with a cognitive impairment and needs help with decision making. As for the colors on my nails I said I wanted the lighter blue. My nail tech did a swatch of color on my nail then removed it to put a white base coat. Then proceeded to put the darker blue down. So no I didn't decide on the colors of my nail. Let me reiterate the prices were never communicated to us till the end. This was my first time there and I think my nail tech Sasha did a great job. Not only did she throughly soak off my acrylic she gave me valuable info on the difference between using MMA and EMA liquid to apply acrylic and giving your nails a break between acrylic full sets. This was a shop that was clean, well maintained, clearly had knowledge staff as well as several black manicurists which is a rare site for me. The woman who did my nails was very nice and was good at the process of applying acrylic, however, my experience had more negative aspects than positive. They were very professional and sterile, and they took my sister and I in as a walk in which was great. However, I asked for long coffin acrylics and even showed the nail tech a pic of my previous set, yet I came out with square nails. They are also way too thick and hurt, unlike my last set from Bloomfield Nails in Troy. I asked her to taper in more but she said she can't. Also wasn't aware that shapes other than square were $10 extra on top of the $35 which is already pretty high for acrylics. I don't think I should have even paid that $10 seeing as I don't think they are coffin. read more

I have been going here for the last year or so.... I find that my pedicures are always fabulous (with a variety of packages to choose from). I always get the dip powder on my hands and love how my nails look and feel. The location is small but the service options they provide are abundant. I have gone to plenty of salons prior to coming here.... Classy Nails prides themselves on providing sanitary services and I find the nail technicians pride themselves in making sure their customers are happy. For all of the reviews saying they are too pricey.... well.... I mean.... sure u can find a full set in a variety of salons for $12 but are your nails healthy? Were your services sanitary? Are the products authentic? Are you getting quality? I dunno.... I'd rather pay for quality and receive quality. I do spend some time here when I have services done... but again.... I'd rather spend time here than to be rushed. You get what you pay for.... I have never had a problem here. Thank you Classy Nails for doing what you do! I am submitting this review because my 8 month pregnant daughter would not. Yesterday the technician cut 2 of her toes with cuticle clippers enough to make them bleed. She is still complaining today how much they hurt. I certainly hope that she doesn't get an infection from this poorly trained nail person. On top of that she kept digging on one of her toes saying she had an ingrown toenail. My daughter finally told her to stop. Since when is a nail technician now a podiatrist???! I hope the owner sees this and provides more training-obviously this nail tech needs it. read more

Where do I start??? Love everything about them! I was always skeptical looking at their reviews but I needed my pedi-mani done badly for my aunt's birthday so no choice for me!! I was nicely greeted by all the ladies as I walk in which is a great first impression. I learned that they currently changed to the new owner. I'm glad I went in!!! Now! I must admit that I am a germophobe (well, kind of) and also obsessed with all natural and organic!! Guess what?? They have so many types of pedicure but the one that stand out the most to me was the Organic Green-tea pedicure. I opt-in for that and loveeee the way they prepare for my service! Their tools were neatly place on a medal tray and their tub was cover in a huge plastic liner so I kinda have my own tub. It was funny to me how their nail file, buffer and pumice stone were so teeny tiny cute but after asking I know that they will be throw away after each customer (the technician broke it and threw it away along with the bag at the end of my service). The pedicure I chose include everything I could possibly asked for (great hot stone massage, hot towels, paraffin wax, and many more). It was so relax I didn't want it to stop. Eventually I had to say bye to my pedicure to move on for my full-set. The tech cleaned the tub and spray some type of disinfectant on it after she seated me for my nails (LOVE IT!!). I wanted some kind of design but was very uncertain of what I wanted exactly so I gave it all up to the technician and she surprised me with how great my nails turn out to be!!! They even have chrome pigment which I happened to look for in forever!! Yay!!! Beautifully fancy nails to show off at the birthday party. Overall it was a great experience! I love their strict sanitary standards. Love their pedicure. I love how they take their time on me and how the tech plan out my nails and inform me on the price before taking any action (even when I gave her full permission to do whatever she wants)!! My sister and I went to get pedicures and my sister also got a fill-in. We are 60+ of age African American women. My sister and I was talk during our pedicure. My sister laughed out loud one time and we were told by a 20 year old that we needed to lower out voices. Then I left and my sister waited for a half hour for someone to do her nails. This is the absolute worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life. I had a male nail tech and seriously find it hard to believe he is licensed. I am not the pickiest person when it comes to getting my nails done and I actually had to take the file from him to try to fix the shape of my nails. I got a new set on Wednesday and they started popping off on Friday. I also got a pedicure and three days later half of my toes have no polish. Only go here if you like wasting money. Speaking of money the guy spoke zero English and couldn't figure out how to run my card and kept coming back telling me "no money" in front of other customers. I got the world's worst pedicure here in the winter, shortly after they opened. I had stripes of callous and raw skin on the bottoms of my feet. The young man performing the service would not look at my feet. He was transfixed by the windows and every other location in the joint. It's no wonder the pedi was terrible. I went back today for a manicure. $9.00 seemed like a reasonable price. I decided not to have the same technician, just in case. He wasn't there. Instead I got a woman who also did a bad job. Admittedly my cuticles were dry, but she cut me with the nippers and didn't tell me I was bleeding. Instead she kept wiping the blood off with a hand towel. Also the ends of all of my nails are still rough and covered with stray hairs/lint. I asked for a French manicure (flesh tone polish with white tips). I know it costs a few dollars extra, supposedly for the extra effort involved. The shade of tinted polish she chose was waaay off from natural on me. Maybe it matches some people, but I don't know who. Now my nails are light red and I was charged almost double, $17.00. Also, there are white smears on 3 nails where she botched the tips. I was really rooting for small business and hoped it was just one employee that didn't enjoy his job, but 2 out of 2 bad experiences is enough for me. read more
