The man didn't listen to anything I said as far as the shape or length that I wanted, tried to put acrylics on my little after I told him 4 times to just do her natural nails, ended up grinding her nails and attempting to put tips on them anyway until we stopped him . He was rude and my fingers are bleeding from the cuticles and tops from filing my skin raw. I tried to explain my frustration to a different tech and get my nails atleast fixed and the tech walked away from me mid sentence. $85 down the drain for some shitty nails and a possible infection. I had a great experience here! I had had hip replacement surgery 8 weeks prior to coming for my pedicure and had not had my feet touched for about 10 weeks total. They were a mess - overgrown, rough, and uncomfortable. I had not been in since the remodel and the place is bright and clean and comfortable. There were more than enough staff and they got to me right away. I was on a time schedule because I had a Dr.'s appointment so when I came in, I asked if they could have me out by a certain time. They said they could and had me out right on time. I really had an excellent pedicure and leg massage. I love that they offer different priced spa quality pedicures so there is a variety of pampering that can be received based on how much time you have and how much you want to pay. I have had pedicures everywhere from specialty spas all over the East Coast including at the reknowned Country Inn Spa in Berkeley Springs and at Charleston Place in Charleston SC. They were much more expensive and no better than what I received at Classy Nails last week. Note that Classy Nail low scores are from the long past. I really encourage everyone to try them again. They have really raised their quality and service and it is the best I've gotten in the area in a very long time. read more

I called to ask if they could fix I nail that I broke. On the phone conversation I MADE SURE to specify that I got them done at Elite Nail (which is great by the way) and they said sure come on over. After driving about 15 minutes out of my way to go to this ratchet looking nail salon (I was obviously desperate) they told me they couldn't do it. Got a great mani-pedi. So why 1 star? It was a Saturday noon with 2 customers well into their service and was told 10 min wait. After sitting in foot bath for 30 min with now tepid water, I finally spoke up. An excuse was made while he picks up the phone to call someone who "hadn't shown up yet". What the hell? Meanwhile another customer who came after me was getting her pedi done. Nice. Next up, very meticulous mani pedi with very good paint job and polite man doing it. Tipped him well. Next day, realized he didn't return my very difficult to find polish (1 of 2 I used - he returned 1). I left town before they opened so I left them a note on their door asking them if they would mail it to me (I'm on tour and traveling for 2 months). I phoned later also to speak to them. I was told by woman that she doesn't drive and can't mail it. I told her why I couldn't come back to get it, reiterating it was partially their fault for not returning both to my purse, and she yelled at me she didn't steal it and told me it would be there for me in 1 year or 2 years. This is not the normal nail salon I choose in Staunton I love sweet nails in the Kroger shopping center. However my husband got me a gift certificate for my birthday to this nail salon so I thought I'd give it a try despite some bad reviews I saw online. I upgraded to one of the herbal pedicures and it was absolutely incredible. Very very good attention to detail with the massage and took their time and were very thorough. I also got a manicure which isn't my favorite French manicure I've ever gotten but it was run-of-the-mill. I would have to agree with most of the reviews that the customer service is not necessarily wonderful. They were not very friendly, in fact I felt pretty awkward most of the time I was in there, but they did do a nice job. Today was my first time at Classy Nails and I absolutely loved it!! Sophia and Tony were the ones they helped me. They were so kind. I even had a time constraint being I'm a breastfeeding moms so two of them worked on me at the same time to speed up the process. They took their time and made sure everything was perfect and to my liking. The massage chair was amazing! Very strong and actually massaged me! I will be back comes two weeks!! On the basis of the single review (and the convenience to Martins), I choice this nail shop to get pink and white acrylic nails. I went back several times thinking the nails would get better. They didn't. The first two times, the nails were coming off (flaking off in chunks) at the bottom and the sides by the end of the first week. Within two weeks, I had to go back and they said it was so bad I needed another entirely new set. So after two "fills" in a row that required getting new nails, the third time was the last time. And sadly, despite the sign saying there was a special price that day on getting a full set, I got charged full price. And the nails from the third full replacement set were chipping within 48 hours. I went to another shop, and they took off the nails from Classy Nails and gave me another full set -- and by contrast, a week later it, the nails from a totally different nail store look like I just stepped out of a shop. My poor experience may, however, be combined to the acrylic nails and pink and white. I didn't have a pedicure. Other people seemed happy in the shop. And the people who work there are very nice and kind people. Their kids are very cute. But as much as I might like them as people, after giving them three chances to get the quality right, I just can't recommend them for the limited services I received. read more

Then he gave me a manicure and he clipped my cuticle and made my thumbs bleed. Again "I'm sorry". I was forced to pay full price. I wish that I could give zero stars. I'm not incredibly picky about my manicures, but this was ridiculous. I'm new to the area and was hoping to find somewhere to give me a decent gel manicure. I came in around 3:30 on a weekday. There were three nail techs, and only one other customer in the store. IT TOOK TWO HOURS TO GET A GEL MANICURE!!! Now had it been the best manicure of my life, I would have been okay with this. HOWEVER, my nail tech was rude and rough. She made four of my ten cuticles bleed. The manicure was sloppy, and began to peel 3 days later. I would've gone back for a refund, but it so was not worth another two hours of my life. I had an appointment at 5:30 that I was actually late for because of this manicure. I didn't even get the massage portion of the manicure because it had taken so long and I had to go! My nails were filed unevenly and I'm not even sure what shape she was aiming to file them into. They were still jagged once she was done. I should have known this wouldn't be a good manicure when it took her 30 min just to soak the old polish off of my nails, and then she used the same tool to scrape the polish off as she had just used to SCRAPE UNDERNEATH HER OWN NAILS. I'm truly in shock that I didn't get fungus. Like I said, i don't expect much from a manicure, but Classy Nails couldn't even meet my already not-very-high standards.
