    Interior with peeling chairs
    Sue W.

We were greeted right away when we arrived for our pedicure appointments. They took us immediately to stations and began working on my spouse's feet; however, I waited about 10 minutes before they started on my pedicure. The interior needs some sprucing up as many chairs are peeling especially the ones used by the staff. The pedicure chairs are uncomfortable for small/short people. Offering pillows would be a big bonus. My feet barely reached the foot rest but the young lady doing my pedicure kept pulling me in that direction until I was slouched in the seat. Also, she was distracted and apparently in a spat of some sort with another employee. The only time she spoke (in broken English) was to ask me to position my feet. The pedicure was very basic and performed with indifference. She did not do a good job on calluses and mine are very minor. On the bright side, the nail polish was applied very well. Not what we signed up for. We will continue our search for a place to get our feet pampered.

Receipt paid full price since salon would not accept an "expired" gift certificate.

What a bunch of crooks, DON'T ever buy a gift certificate because it will expire. I've been at this nail salon several times, bought a gift certificate for my boyfriend, thought he could use a pedi, he never got around to using it so I came in today to use and they WOULD NOT ACCEPT. Apparently the owner kept telling me, "those aren't the rules." Ok, I understand if it's been over a year or years since it expired.... But it's only been a month past the expiration. And since when do gift certificates expire? Regardless, this expired last month, purchased on 12/17/21, expired 7/17/21 and tried to use today after shellac pedi and they wouldn't accept!!! Like I said, bunch of crooks, I've been a customer here multiple times and it's ridiculous they couldn't do anything to give any kind of credit for the $32 gift certificate I tried to use on my $52 shellac pedicure. Btw overpriced in my mind and not worth it. Please save yourself and GO ELSEWHERE!!! This place is corrupt. Additionally their Services are not worth their Prices.

    Dip manicure

I have been here a few times since moving to Charlottesville and I have always had a positive experience! Friendly staff, clean, efficient. I usually walk in with no wait. I get a dip manicure and always like how my nails turn out. I have to keep them short for work and they do a great job shaping them the way I like. I came in for a pedicure with a friend too. It was really nice and reasonably priced, even with a couple of add ons. I would absolutely recommend this place!

This may have been partially a hormonal coincidence, but the facial certainly helped. Michelle seemed knowledgeable and skilled. She assessed my skin and provided me with her assessment and some tips. The facial itself was relaxing. I'm just so thankful my skin is finally clear.

I visited Love Face & Body Spa (bought & rebranded) for the first time yesterday for a facial. I…read moreoriginally had booked the Advanced Renewal facial but my esthetician Kayelyn actually said I didn't need that exact facial because my skin is still young as I'm not yet in my 30s. She instead recommended I do the YonKa dry skin facial which is actually cheaper than what I originally booked. I love that she picked what would be best for my skin without trying to upsell a more expensive facial. I'm not well versed in skin care so I really liked that Kayelyn walked me through everything she was doing and the reasons why. Most times you just lay there in silence and while I do like sometimes to just relax and fall asleep, I really appreciated the skin care education and I was still able to relax as well. But I feel like I have a better idea of what my skin needs and how I can achieve it. The only reason I'm rating this 4.5/5 stars is because I normally like some lip care during my facials and this was lacking that. I really liked the essential oil toner she used and ended up purchasing it afterwards. The scent is heavenly and made my skin feel great. I normally don't purchase skin care products after my facials but I really liked the YonKa brand products she used on my face. You should definitely head over to Love Face & Body Spa and have Kayelyn give you a facial! You won't regret it.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would…read more This was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I went in just to get my acrylics removed and a regular manicure. The machine they had me use to soak off the nails was absolutely disgusting -- it was covered in other people's nail dust and had an old, dirty paper towel in it. When the technician started applying the top coat, the polish began to smear and bubble. She and another employee started talking back and forth (clearly confused about whether it was gel or regular polish), but she left it as-is and told me to sit with the fans on my hands for over 20 minutes. When she finally came back, she looked at my nails and said, "Oh, this is gel!" At that point, she aggressively removed everything and told me to wash my hands. I told her I didn't want any polish at all after that mess. When I came back, she didn't even let me sit before rushing to put cuticle oil on--while there was still polish all around my cuticles. I asked her to please remove it, which she did, but then hurried me off like I was an inconvenience. After nearly two hours, I was charged $35 for this experience. One of the younger staff members claimed she "took $15 off," but I left on the verge of tears -- I'm not confrontational, and I just wanted to leave. My nails looked terrible, my skin was red, and I didn't even get an apology. Absolutely awful service, unsanitary equipment, and no accountability. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.
