She has a super clean set up in a shop outside of her home, and it's got everything she needs to get the job done. She is also super knowledgeable when it comes to grooming and pet care which is obvious from visiting with her about her history and experience. Best of all was getting to stay and watch (and pet my dogs!) while she was grooming them. That made them so much calmer that I didn't just drop them off and leave them! I do highly recommend. Pretty bummed... my first visit with my puppy was great. I called shortly after our visit because…read morehe had developed a rash. I didn't know if it was a reaction to vaccinations or whatever. I called and asked if I should bring him in or wait till my next appointment. The receptionist said she'll speak to the doctor and if she thinks I need to bring him in, then she will give me a call back. But still come to my next appointment. They never called back but the rash was starting to get worse. I came in for my appointment and explained this and the vet tech said she would ask the doctor to look at it. I hear through the door something along the lines of, it costs more to break it up into multiple visits. It felt like I was either being taken advantage of or judged for expecting them to look at his rash. They refused to treat the rash and said they could see him tomorrow. Sounds reasonable, but I take off work for this and I can't just call out to take him in unfortunately. She said there was no record or note of me calling. I ended up getting into a different vet the same day that treated this with urgency and could see how painfully uncomfortable my puppy was. He treated the issue and was concerned they neglected to do his rabies shot today like they should have. He was able to give me some direction and advice to help my dog. I'm just pretty disappointed my time or money or dog wasn't considered here. Even if the receptionist dropped the ball, they failed to mark his chart and update the doctor on a serious symptom he was expressing. I would say to just proceed with caution.

The owners live on site and are actively involved with the operations. We've been attending doggy daycare for 1.5 years with Guardian Kennels and have worked with the same staff the entire time. Guardian Kennels not only treats our dog well, but it appears they treat their staff well too. To retain quality staff is quite an accomplishment as working with animals (and their humans) isn't an easy job. There is so much more to caring for animals than just the fun parts of playing with them. Staff are continuously cleaning while caring for the animals and managing pick ups and drop offs. Dogs get quality time outside and are grouped by size and energy level to ensure safety and allow all dogs big or small to have a good time. When they are inside they have individual kennels. Very well run operation. Highly recommend their services.

They kept our cat overnight to get samples and such, gave him meds and some special food to help prevent future issues. I went to pick up our kitty expecting a huge bill but they were very reasonable! I never saw the Dr, but my husband said he was very nice and really knew his stuff - my husband had total confidence in him. I talked to at least 4 different staff over the phone and in-person when I picked up our cat, and they were all SO incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I was a bit surprised as another reviewer mentioned that our cat's exam seemed pretty short and they didn't want his history or records from past clinics - but again, my husband went to the exam rather than me and he isn't really what people would call talkative. I rated the 5 stars based on my interaction.
