What a dump! Used to love this place. Picked up a large pizza a few weeks ago and my wife and I definitely got food poisoning. She had to go to the hospital because of how sick she was from a pepperoni pizza. Tell your cooks to shower or at least wash their hands. Check your ingredients too. Nobody should be put through this. I wasn't going to leave this but she begged me too because she doesn't want anyone else to get sick. Clawsons has been a staple since I was a child and honestly it's stayed pretty consistent over the years. I used to ride my bike there to get ice cream and their ice cream is still on point 20+ years later. Their breakfast pizza has always been a go to. They have a good variety of snacks and drinks. They also have a good amount of staple groceries if you start cooking and realize you need something or friends are coming over and you don't have snacks like you thought. Definitely a good place to check out just be aware that if you go during lunch time when schools in session, it might be pretty crowded. Who would expect an assuming corner store on a side road to have so much?! I only knew Clawson's as the place the high school kids stop at on the way to school for a slice of breakfast pizza (delicious! And reason enough to stop there!) Clawson's is a freakin' institution... if ever there was an "everything" store, this is it. If I live closer to Clawson's, I swear I'd weigh 50 pounds more 'cause I'd be digging breakfast pizza a *whole* lot more than I do. Great subs, baked goods (from Leo's, natch) & other take out goodies. Located just over the hill from Fairport High School... it's probably a good thing that the kids have to walk there with their heavy backpacks. Everything is great with outstanding sandwiches and pizza. Only issue is parking which figures as it's popular.

Hands down one of the best sandwich/hoagie you will ever eat. We were in town for hockey and we stopped at Clawson between games, it was so good that we had to stop again the next day on our way out of town. The owner and his staff were just fantastic, friendly and really treated us like family. If I could give 10 stars I would, it is a must! Looking forward to the next time i am in the area. Clawson's is a staple in Fairport/Perinton- it's been the small store with good food, friendly staff and quick needed grocery items that you can get so you don't have to go to Wegmans. The prices are reasonable and there is always specials going on. Small store but big in heart and community. I would recommend stopping in and supporting this local business. read more

This is a great little place. Small but has all you need. Fresh deli meat cut before your eyes. Great pizza. Snacks and ice cream. Awesome tuna sub! Service is very good. They aim to please. They even helped me decide what type of pizza to get and ultimately told me to buy less so it didn't go to waste. My young nieces love it because they always get the order right. This review is only for the breakfast pizza, though I'll throw in some info about the place. First, be aware that this is part convenient store, part deli/pizza store. The parking is limited at best and the only seating is outdoors, which I would only recommend on a nice sunny day (obviously). If you are ordering a pizza, I recommend calling in and placing the order because waiting around is kind of bizarre. Otherwise, they do sell pizza by the slice so if you want a quick lunch, go for it! Be aware that sheets of typical pizza require at least an hour notice and a sheet of breakfast pizza needs at least 24 hour notice. OK, now: BREAKFAST PIZZA. Holy breakfast pizza. How did I ever live without you? I swear, Clawson's breakfast pizza is like a work of art. Let me break it down: 1. Wickedly crispy crust - entire bottom and all edges have a great crunch and hold their shapes! 2. Perfectly cook scrambled eggs - whatttt?! Please tell me how these eggs go into a hot oven and the eggs aren't overdone?! 3. Thinly sliced ham - just enough saltiness to the eggs and crust 4. Three different cheese - the real masterpiece - they somehow get the cheddar cheese nice and gooey without disintegrating underneath the mozzarella, and are still able to broil the top so it's gooey and golden as cheese should be! I love this pizza, if you can't tell already. I love that everything is well balanced and somehow timed so right that it's all cooked to perfection! If you haven't stopped in, GO! read more

Clawson's is a cute little Mom & Pop store out in Fairport that feels like it's been around forever with this big old-world feeling going for it. It's by no means large, nor is it really a restaurant per se, but having had the breads and cookies there, or even their freshly made pizza, I have to say they're an awesome Rochester-y depot of goodness! The cookies are always soft, and the pizza is always crisp and super flavorful with their unique sweet-and-savory twist on tomato sauce. Whenever I'm around and my friends and I are in the mood for pizza, you can be sure we'll give Clawson's a call! And besides - the price for the quantity of what you get is amazing! Even if you don't want pizza, there's your classic gas station-like goods on the shelves and in the freezer in the back, but you definitely know it's a notch up higher than the rest. There's just something about the local ambiance and the quality of the goods that makes it feel so warm, country, and homey. To top everything off, the service behind the counter always makes you feel so welcome! You may not be getting a 5-star dining experience out dropping by here, but it's certainly 5 stars when it comes to Clawson's warmth. read more

The last couple of times I've ordered pizza from here it has been over cooked and the small amount of cheese they did put on was burnt. Very skimpy with the other toppings as well. I got the sheet pizza the last 2 times i ordered from them and it was so disappointing and the price is way to expensive for the quality. I refuse to order from there any longer. Little Caesar pizza is sadly a lot better tasting and priced. And their chicken wings are usually over cooked and cold. I gave them numerous chances and even tries to take the food back before for them to replace it but an older lady that worked their gave me a nasty attitude and made sure to let me know it was an inconvenience for her to deal with it and after arguing with her she did give me new food but was no better so I asked for a refund and she refused because it's my fault for being to picky for not liking black burnt cheese read more

this place is a nice small mini grocery store... kinda weird that they aren't a gas station too...nonetheless they definitely make good money on their subs, daily fish frys, pizza, wings and soft serve fro-yo and ice cream. I'm sure there's more too but that's all I can really think of. customer service is mehh but I understand that not every place can be like Wegmans. also when it's busy it's a bitch to get out of the parking lot because they have a weird setup for a parking lot...however...despite all of these negatives I have never been served bad food ....pretty damn great and that's why I give them 4 stars read more
