She chose the clay art activity with a "Sea Friends" theme because it sounded creative and exciting for the kids, but the actual experience did not meet expectations at all. There were only three very simple animal designs offered, which was far too limited for a two-hour birthday party and not engaging enough to keep the children interested. The employees assisting with the activity did not appear to be properly trained to host or manage a children's party. Their instructions were unclear, they spoke very softly, and there was little enthusiasm or interaction with the kids. The atmosphere felt dull and unorganized instead of fun and energetic like a birthday celebration should be. Many of the children lost interest quickly because there was no excitement, guidance, or effort to keep them engaged. What was most disappointing was that, despite booking a two-hour party, the actual clay activity lasted only around 40 minutes. After that, there was very little for the kids to do, leaving them bored and restless for most of the remaining time. As a parent spending money to create a memorable milestone birthday for my daughter, I expected a much better-planned and professionally hosted experience. I chose this place hoping it would create happy memories for my daughter and her friends, but instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience for both the kids and the parents attending the party.

My boys had expressed an interest in art classes for homeschool. It was amazing to see what they could do on a first visit here and both were so excited with their results. We were greeted warmly and I was presented information in a straight forward and easy to understand manner while my boys went off to class. My boys are both age 12 and liked the set up for learning, the options of the different plans and types of art they could choose from and the instructors were all warm and helpful. As someone with chemical sensitivities, one of the instructors there was heavily fragranced and I had difficulties staying for too long.. For me, that was the only downfall as my kids don't particularly like being around strong fragrance either, though they don't have the reactions to it that I do. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. You can choose from different plans and frequencies. The times ultimately didn't work out for us with baseball practice and the 20+ min drive from Livermore, but continue to consider some of the camps they offer and they will attend if it works into our schedule.

A miniature piece is 10 dollars and the larger you select the higher the price. I spent $25 for a 4 inch dog for my daughter to paint. It is cute. You pay an additional 10 dollars to get it in the kiln to pick up a week later. The paintbrushes are mostly abused or past their prime so it's difficult to do any detail painting. That was most frustrating for us. We had a good time. Expect to be there between 90 minutes plus with an 8 year old. Then you clean up at the back sink which piled up with palettes and bowls in a mess. The public has difficulty with that- the sign should be bigger! The great staff and sitting and talking with the kid made the experience very nice.

Her glass selection is excellent and her instruction is incredibly helpful. I am so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews of this studio. My 12 year old daughter and I signed up for the beginner stained glass course. It did take us longer than the 6 weeks to finish our pieces but I wasn't mad because the website warned me it might take longer and the owner also warned me when we picked the pieces we did. The finished products were well worth the time. My daughter and I had so much fun and learned a lot. My daughter has now finished two pieces. I finished a window panel and am now starting my second piece. I will definitely continue coming back here to learn this beautiful craft. This is the place you want to go if you want to learn how to work with glass.

I wanted something fun and different to do for my birthday and Flora Flames Candle was the choice…read more Ashley the owner shares space with Board and Brush at The Well at Sunset in Livermore. She takes you through the steps of making an aroma filled candle. We choose our vessels, I picked a white ceramic one and there are wood vessels for an additional cost, we sampled an array of scented oils to pick, I went for the amazing smelling "golden hour", then we blended oil and wax, and added a wick. We then picked our dried flowers to add to the edge of our candle, let it set and wait two weeks before lighting. Ashley gave us care instructions and we can recycle our candle vessels by bringing the empty candle holder back to use for another class, with a half off discount. Classes are about an hour in half to two hours, drinks sold to wet your whistle, and they have collaborative workshops with other creators. The total for the class I took was $60.24. Well worth it!

Devina is one of the most dedicated teachers I have known. She always has that brilliant smile at the end of every class with an end product, which is quite priceless! Devina also does corporate events and special events like birthdays - we invited her to do a lesson for my daughter and her friends for her birthday (Andy Warhol's donuts). What a super cool outcome that was! In addition to art, Devina also teaches public speaking, which has helped my daughter understand how to write outlines, make better arguments, reduce filler words and project better body language. Most importantly it has helped boost her self confidence!
