    Tandoori chicken
    Linh N.

Pretty standard restaurant in Mill Creek. Gonna be real honest and say I would not have spent an hour and a half in traffic if it wasn't for my friends. My allergies were pretty bad the day we were here and the very strong smell of incense did not help at all. Service was okay, they came by to take our order and then basically just left us alone HHaha. We started with a couple appetizers followed by food. My friends got tikki masala and paneer saag. I just got the tandoori chicken. I've always said that indian food is on the pricier side but man, when they bought out the food, the serving size made me not want to ever come back up here haha. Everything was so small. Those entrees are meant for one person. I was rather disappointed with my meal. My chicken wasn't as flavorful as I'd hope it would be and the garlic naan didn't taste like garlic. . This place was highly recommended by my friend but next time i think we'll just stay around UW.

I've always loved Claypit's food, but hated the service (hence my previous 1 star review)! I vowed never to go back again! Recently, I walked by Claypit and noticed a sign that it's now under new management! I thought, hhmm maybe I should give them a try! They recently changed management in July! My husband and I came in for lunch today and were pleasantly greeted by the waiter and were also surprised that they offered buffet! It's a perfect way for me to try different food! The food was fantastic! We were serviced by 3 different people and they were all very pleasant! The manager even checked in with us and he was genuinely kind. I think they're definitely trying to change their image and don't want to be associated by the previous owner. The food was already amazing, the place is clean, and if they continue on with great service... they'll definitely have a winning recipe and will have a loyal customer out of me! I had a great experience today and will definitely come back again and dine in for dinner! Always love to support local business!

Set really close to the kitchen

Firstly, be careful of the hostess as you walk in. If you don't "do it right" you'll hear about it hard for sure. We started to walk to one of many open booths, but we're rudely told the booths were Only for parties of 4. So we got sat right in front of the extremely hot kitchen. Needless to say, not one of the booths were used during our entire visit. We were excited to try a new Indian place, but sadly the food didn't live up to the location or the restaurant. We are both vegetarian and we're expecting pretty good meals as usually Indian cuisine provides, but no dice. Very little vegetables in our dishes, the Samosa (appetizer) came out with our entrees and we're super dry and only partially filled. I don't mean to sound rude, but there is nothing nice to say about the food or service in this place.

So when the opportunity arose to share a Friday night dinner with family, we opted to try 5 Rivers Indian Cuisine, a family owned and run restaurant in Everett on Evergreen Way near 4th Avenue, specializing in Punjabi and Mediterranean cuisine! They have lots of amazing options to choose from. While nothing is specifically labeled vegan, they do have many vegetarian options I found them to be very accommodating to our vegan dietary needs. I've almost never met a Grape Leaf dish I didn't like so I had to try their version. They did an amazing job with the aesthetics, using a creamy vegan tahini sauce to really bring this dish to that next level. I also ordered Baba Ghannoj. Surprisingly, they advised their pita bread is not vegan but they gladly substituted roti instead, super flavorful and great mix of textures dancing around on the palette. For a main dish, I heard their "Vegetarian Thali" dish calling to me (but thankfully, it didn't call me Seymour .. .. .. ), giving me the opportunity to try a myriad of flavors and combinations. Given that a couple of components weren't vegan, they were graciously able to accommodate .. and provide me with a fully vegan ncombination of (from left to right) Aloo Chana, Dal Maharanji, Aloo Gobi, Basmati Rice and more delicious roti bread. Everything was delicious and super filling, I had to take a lot home with me. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend dropping by to try their flavorful mixture of Punjabi and Mediterranean inspired dishes!

It offers an extensive menu, and for what you pay, the portions are very generous! Our favorite dishes are the mango curry, lamb vindaloo, and the classics like butter chicken and tikka masala. We always order some form of appetizer. We have had the samosas as well as the hummus and tabouleh, and everything has been delectable! I always order their baba Ganoush. The smoky, roasted eggplant is savory and has great depth to the flavor profile. Our other favorite is the garlic naan. It is seasoned to perfection and roasted beautifully! Another thing I appreciate is they offer a spice level for your order. Spicy is a relative term, so I appreciate having a range to work with. 5 Rivers recently renovated their dining area, and it is very beautiful and clean. Service is always friendly, too. Overall we are very happy to have found such a gem nearby!

They were careful about my gluten allergy and had plenty of options. Nikki was our server and she was friendly. Our group tried Indo-Chinese and they loved everything. I tried the peshawari chicken. It was nice and creamy. Nikki did tell us that it was only one big piece of chicken which was helpful because we were ordering family style. We still ended up ordering it because the rest had Indo-Chinese (not GF). I'd be back to try some other things on their menu.

I love the music playing in the background, and the Mumbai themed décor is so unique and thoughtfully done. It really adds to the whole experience. Coming to the food, I specifically went for the happy hour chaat platter. I reached around 6:56 PM, and the platter is only available from 5 to 7 PM. Initially, I could not find it on the menu, and our assigned server was different. However, Rohan recognized us from our previous visits and came over. When I mentioned I was there just for the chaat platter, he kindly checked and found the menu for us. He let us know it would take about 20 minutes to prepare, which we were completely fine with. The platter arrived in about 20 to 25 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything from the bhel puri, pav bhaji bites, samosa chaat, to the sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and very satisfying. The chai was also really good. Highly recommend this place for both the vibe and the food. We will definitely keep coming back.

I have visited this place at least half a dozen time in the last year. The service has always been fantastic. Very friendly staffs and they genuinely care about the customers no mater how busy this place is. Always order at the counter and pick up the food later. They offer weekend buffet - with the options they have provided - one of the best value for money buffet available now. There are enough varieties on the offering. Quality was great - food was flavorful as well. I did order ala carte as well. Tried the biriyanis and the indo-chinese options. And their veg & non-veg combo is a real deal. Served with roti, rice, 2 curries and a dessert. It's just $10. Portion is really good, more than enough for one person. That's one of my favorite options on their menu. It's a very spacious restaurant - well maintained. Cleanliness deserves special mention as well. Quite an ambiance as well. I have liked whatever I have tried from here for that last one year. Hopefully they will maintain the quality for longer!

Their cuisine is very specific. - goat biriyani and goat curry are delicious. I also liked their meat to rice ratio for the chicken biriyani. CONS: - outrageous prices for the amount of food. I ordered goat curry and the size of the container was way small. Giving me an entry sized dish in a side dish container is an immediate issue for me. I paid over 80 worth of food and feel lit was not worth it. The goat curry had a lot of large bones too so that made it worse. I got more bones than meat. - overtly spiced and too salty. I liked their goat dum biriyani but did not like the rest. The biriyani appears to be over spiced that's not completely simmered, cooked down or blended. You're essentially eating straight up spice which is pretty gross. This is a personal preference, I like my dishes spicy but I don't like it overwhelmingly spicy where it overtakes the dish and all you're tasting is uncooked blend of spices that heat up your stomach & hurts digestion. Others may like their dishes as is. I'm not in that boat. - I paid $8 for goat haleem that was given in a tiny sauce container. that was so not worth the money or the dish. Their prices are completely off. I don't recommend this place, my search for decent biriyani from regional places continues. I just went authentic biriyani that tastes good, is reasonably priced, with good meat to rice ratio. It's 2026 people, shouldn't be this hard!
