My daughter was having a major toothache , So I found this wonderful dentist by luck .I actually typed in emergency, so I called he answered and told me he could see us right away in the am being it was after hours .When we arrived we were greeted with friendly front desk staff , After examining she needed a wisdom tooth extracted..This dentist was so thorough and explained detail by detail , He was beyond kind and spoke and made you feel comfortable!! His expertise and bedside manner was wonderful!! He was very knowledgeable and gentle and made sure she was totally numb and assured her he would take time to make sure she would be comfortable!! I was really excited to find this dental office when I moved to the East Bay. However, today, my outlook quickly shifted with this dentist. The receptionist, however is a sweetheart and very helpful. I was scheduled to get a regular cleaning, however Dr. Haidari insisted that I get a deep cleaning done instead. This is something you typically discuss or schedule with your patient for the future bc it entails two appts, numbing and more money. When I said no, we're not doing that doing today, he pretty much dismissed me from my appt and said "we're all done here today then." Well that 'emergency' turned out to not be an emergency after all because of the knowledge, skill, and true love and pride of his work that Dr H has. Not only is Dr H a great dentist, the entire staff, Rachael, and Jen - just to name a couple of staff/team members - are great at what they do. What they do in addition to efficient office management and dental work, is being warm, helpful, and - well - sincerely interested in the patient having a good overall experience. My daughter had a dental emergency a couple years back, and my husband brought her here. They took care of her right away. The dentist was fantastic. We paid out of pocket, but the price was better than the the one quoted by the dental group that takes Dentical (the dental insurance of Medical). And that other place wouldn't do the work for a month! They wanted her to take pain medicine until then! So, when I needed a new dentist, I went to Clayton Dental. Prices were good. Please read and do your Research My review and experience at this practice have only been for their emergency service for a root canal. I have no experience with the general dentistry of this practice. I hope they're better at filling cavities, cleaning teeth, and putting on crowns. I also do not like to leave unfavorable reviews, but this experience got me. I came in here in October 2021 for an emergency root canal as this was the only place that had an opening. Unfortunately, my general dentist is closed on Fridays. I came in at 4 pm, I had an Xray done, and it was determined that I had an infection. I was told that the only way the dentist would proceed with the root canal, was if I, as the patient, committed to a $395 CT scan (which according to my dentist and Endodontist is not necessary but simply a preference of a dentist). I was told the insurance does not cover this scan, I found out later that my insurance had covered part of it. Anyway, I had obliged as I was in so much discomfort and wanted to move forward with the treatment. The procedure took over 2 hours, no dental assistant present, and I was told that the infection would need to "drain out", (never heard a dentist use this term) and that I would need to return. To make a long story kind of short, the root canal took 3 appointments. I think, perhaps, it was a complicated root canal? I am a full-time working mom and found it challenging to continue to come in these MANY times. In addition, on a few occasions, I sat for about 30-45 minutes in the waiting area just waiting to be seen. Unfortunately, even after the 3 treatments, I continued to experience discomfort and it was deemed that the root canal was not successful after all, and I had to return an additional 2 times for Xrays and to get antibiotic prescriptions. I had visited this practice a whopping 5 times between 10/21-01/22. It also appears looking at my summary of account that this practice charged my insurance every time I came in here. On my last appointment there, I was told we would need to RE-DO the entire root canal and TO ALLOCATE 3 HOURS for this procedure. I thought to myself, who has 3 hours to allocate, and because I know the practice will respond to this review, they did offer it at a "no-cost" re-do. But what is the opportunity cost of "no-cost"? paying for daycare, sick time from work, this is after spending countless hours here? And this still does not guarantee a successful root canal treatment. I decided to seek guidance and a second opinion from my own dentist who gave me a referral to an Endodontist. At my own expense, I made an appointment to see the specialist. The appointment revealed an existing infection on the root of the same tooth. I had to have re-treatment which took about 45 minutes. I had contacted Clayton Dental Group to let them know and request a refund for my copay which would be around $400 (not to mention the other thousands they collected from my insurance now gone and previous policy depleted to a 0). I just wanted a refund for my copay. NO response. After 2 weeks of silence, I had contacted this practice and was told NO refund would be provided as a redo was offered. And because I came in after-hours on a Friday (it was 4 pm and they had agreed to take me). No refund would be offered. I think a semi-rational, common sense practicing human would think, the "no-cost" means coming back a 6th time (that would also mean I'm completely insane to do the same thing over and over again) and to spend 3 hours of time that I do not have. And who knows if even the 6th time would have been successful. Now, I understand that root canals are not always successful and that dentists are not magicians, but why does it take 5 times to determine an unsuccessful root canal? Or not respond to a refund inquiry? Where is the business integrity or commitment to excellent service in all of this? Where is the moral compass? The refund request was my copay was relatively a small amount, especially for a business. I would think the dentist would no longer want the liability of having to redo the whole thing, turn other patients away and leave a patient who would have normally never have left a not a positive review. The fact that a business would not want to refund the money for an unsuccessful service, tells you everything you need to know about them. Again, do your research, when in pain don't jump to conclusions. read more

Well I'm back to praise not just Dr H. but his assistants. I recently saw the Dr and was advised that all I needed to alleviate the persistent discomfort/pain I was experiencing is a night guard. To get the best fit Jen, one of Dr H's assistants, with care and attention took the tooth by tooth images needed. I want to also mention that when I needed a crown it was Jen who did the final fitting of the crown. Her work on getting crown to fit properly was outstanding. I moved toConcord and was looking for a dentist to replace my previous dentist of 35 years, so needless to say I was nervous about finding a new one. From the moment you walk in, the place is beautifully set and I was greeted by the frontline person (Rachel) right away. She was friendly, calming and very sweet. Soon I met the hygienist who took more than a dozen X-rays of all my teeth. She and Rachel both were professional, respectful and nice. So far I'm really liking my experience. Then I met Dr. Haidari. He was amazing. He discussed and explained all the my tooth conditions. Turns out I had 2 tooth with decay. One severe and one less. He discussed what's going on showing me on the X-ray what's going on. He gave me my options and was very thorough with his explanation of each situation. I decided to get the severe tooth extracted, he did it that day. He made me feel at ease, fully knowledgeable about what going on and what my options are. I felt like I was family and something about him made me feel confident and trusting of him. His bedside manner was also excellent always reassuring me that my feelings are valid and that he would do everything so that I would have minimal pain. He was right, I felt no pain at all just predate. Bottom line, I have met my new DMD and am so happy to have connected. This has been my dental group for the past 3 years. One of the cleanest businesses and a very organized place. It's always bright inside and fresh air when the doors are open. So far my experiences with the desk ladies have gone well.. They're usually friendly but I sometimes feel like they're in a hurry for no apparent reason. The dental hygienists are nice and are usually good at explaining the procedure or letting you know what they're doing. The dentists I've worked with here are good too, they work really fast. I can come in for my 6 month exam and cleaning and be done in less than an hour. They fill cavities same day unless you opt out, and it's still pretty quick. I definitely feel like they work for and with you. I'll update this if I have anything bad to add. read more

I have found my forever dentist office! I am so thrilled with my experience from start to finish with Clayton Dental Group. I have to start off by being brutally honest. I had not gone into the dentist for quite some time and I knew when pain started in my right back molar last week that I needed to get in as soon as possible. I had an appointment booked out in April already at a different dental office in the area but their availability just didn't match with my own. Called Clayton Dental Group on Friday and they were able to squeeze me in on Monday! Their receptionist, Rachel, is just delightful. She booked me an appointment from her home since I called during their office hours. What exceptional customer service! Flash forward to my visit with them today. Extremely warm greeting from both Rachel and the dentist, Dr. Haidari. Beautiful, clean office up front and large facility once you walk into the back. Very clean! Speaks volumes about their sanitation here. I didn't catch the dental assistant's name but I really appreciated her efficiency with the X-ray portion. That is probably my least favorite part of any dental visit and she flew right through it! I really appreciated that. Sadly, my suspicions were confirmed in regards to my teeth. Lots of work to be done. I felt discouraged but Dr. Haidari assured me everything would be fine and they would help me. Help they did! They got a quote for me right away and even gave me two options depending on my financial situation. I have never had a dental office offer that. I was so pleased. Hubby's insurance covered close to everything but the remainder I paid was not even over the top. So worth it. He even cleaned up some excess tissue that was there from my wisdom teeth extractions over 15 years ago! I didn't even know that was there or could even be done. Incredible wealth of knowledge from the Dr and staff. I was there for about three hours getting work done and they were so patient and efficient with me. They gave me great follow up information and home care to keep my teeth and gums healthy. There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about this office. Even the parking and location was great. I will be back for all my dental needs and will bring my hubby here too. Thank you to Rachel and Dr. Haidari for all of your help! UPDATE: Another wonderful experience today with the team at this dentistry! I really like them and am so thankful they are helping me. This is the worst Dental care we have ever received. The staff was only interested in scheduling future appointments at a very costly rate. I asked to speak to the Dentist following my son's 5 minute examine (promised to be a full consultation with teeth cleaning for $65--None of that happened) to find out exactly what needed to be done. He was quite rude, arrogant & rushed-though not a soul was in the waiting room. I'm truly disappointed in the service this Dental group had to offer. They are a generic dentist who merely wants money. I contacted the office twice prior to writing this review and nobody ever bothered to reply. Just had my crown put in and it wasn't so pleasant. I was also shock when they asked me if I wanted my other two fillings done today. I had no idea I needed them done because when they cleaned my teeth couple weeks ago they didn't advise me or even showed me my X-rays. I wasn't too impressed of this place and I wasn't happy that the dentist I used before wasn't there. The reason I picked this place it was closed to my gym. Clayton Dental Group - Teeth cleaning turns into needing a new crown. Not fun! - Cosmetic Dentists Near Me - Concord, California

I waited a while to write this review because when I left here I was pretty steamed, and I wanted to give myself plenty of time to cool down. About two and a half weeks ago I went to Clayton Dental Group for a routine checkup/cleaning. I had made the appointment several weeks before. I got the standard reminder call the day before my appointment, and all it was was a receptionist saying "hi, this is Clayton Dental Group, this is a reminder, we'll see you tomorrow at 5PM." Fine. So it's the next day, I'm there at 4:55 PM checking in at the front desk, and the receptionist/assistant asks me if I received the call. When I told her I had, she said something to the effect of "well in the future it would be nice if you could call back to confirm. We have a lot of people who want to make appointments and it helps if we know you're definitely coming." This despite the fact that the call they gave me said nothing about having to call back to confirm. So already I'm getting a not too fuzzy feeling from this place. They took me back, and right away, I'm thinking this place looks more like a salon than a dentist's office - there are really no separate rooms, more like partially divided cubicles with chairs, but you can totally see the other patients in other chairs getting worked on. The receptionist who had chided me about not calling back to confirm then proceeded to give me the whole gamut of x-rays. Then she told me the Dr Haidari would be with me shortly. Apparently, at Clayton Dental Group, shortly can mean "in about half an hour," because that's how long I sat there waiting for the dentist to finish the woman in the cubicle next to mine that he was working on. So then Dr Haidari comes in finally. He looks at the X-rays, then before he even looks at my teeth he starts to tell me that I need to have my wisdom teeth removed, because they're going to cause me all kinds of problems when I get older. Keep in mind my dentist when I was a kid decided not to pull them and I have literally NEVER had a problem with them ever since then. Then he does actually look at my teeth. After doing so, he sits down and starts informing me in somber tones that I am going to require a deep-cleaning, which they will need to schedule as two separate visits because they have to numb half your face and then go down under the gums to scale your teeth. I'm thinking ok, I guess I'll have to schedule that. So then he disappears. Shortly after that, another receptionist appears with some form she wants me to sign about the associated estimated costs of the deep cleanings. I told her I wasn't prepared to sign or schedule anything related to a deep cleaning then, already thinking I needed to seek out a second opinion. I told her I just wanted to proceed with the general cleaning, which I had scheduled, and get on with our business. She told me they couldn't. I was flabbergasted! "You're telling me you're not going to do the general cleaning that I made an appointment with your office for you to do, after you x-rayed me and then made me sit here twiddling my thumbs for half an hour?" Dr Haidari came back over and gave me some rubbish about putting a coat of paint on a rusty car. He repeated what his receptionist had told me, that he refused to do the cleaning. He told me he "COULDN'T" do it, legally. At this point I had heard more than enough. I got up, yelled angrily for them to bring me my jacket, and thanked them loudly for completely wasting my time. I made an appointment with Casa Dental for a week later, went in there, and had no problem getting my general cleaning. Furthermore, the dentist at Casa Dental confirmed what I had suspected, that I did not in fact need a deep cleaning. This is all to say that I got the distinct impression that because I didn't call back to confirm, the folks at Clayton Dental Group seemed unprepared and unwilling to perform a general cleaning for the appointment I booked with them. They seemed only interested in telling me about a bunch of other more serious problems they could have me sign off on and come back and have my dental insurance pay for, work which I came to find out was unnecessary. I don't know if "shyster" can apply to dentists the way it does to lawyers or doctors, but if it can it should definitely apply to the folks at Clayton Dental Group, and Dr Mehron Haidari in particular. Check out Casa Dental for my positive review I'll be leaving there. Don't go to Clayton Dental Group unless you want to be shepherded into a bunch of unnecessary procedures to make them richer. And definitely don't have the temerity to not call back and confirm your appointment. read more

PERSONALLY DONT GIVE THEM SERVICE. Go at your own discretion. I went in to get a crown replaced that they had done for me last year . First, they made an appointment with me and when I came in they didn't even know my last name. They had pulled up someone else's chart and said that I didn't get a crown on the tooth that I was claiming. But I distinctly remember coming there to get it done! Then the Dental assistant Maria comes in my room to ask what my last name was?? She made an appointment under the wrong person. I had my wisdom tooth extracted here and they had overcharged me, so they sent me the refund check 4 months later, kept asking me to come in to get it but I work in Daly City so it was inconvenience . I asked for them to mail it to my address and no respond. Then finally I send a new address for them to mail 3 months later and I finally get it. So I come in to get my crown replaced and they said okay to be fair just return the check we sent you and we will use that because you have no insurance? I definitely have insurance, I even asked the receptionist Rachel what my policy number and subscriber number was and it still has a balance. I'm so upset because they are just trying to overcharge again! Please don't go here if you have great insurance. Because if you do they will end up saying you don't have a balance and charge you for the full service on top of charging your insurance. read more

By far the best service I had experienced in a long time. As soon as I stepped through the door I was greeted and noticed with enthusiasm. The friendly energy was very welcoming. The lady who was at the front desk, I believe her name was Monica, was extremely nice and helpful. Since I dread going to the dentist she made my experience very smooth and comfortable. Where should i start. These people are great, they are all new staff because im guessing the old staff were not good. I had my first appointment about a month ago and had 3 cavityies. i also needed this one cleaning they call deep cleaning i was a bit scared but they doctor explained very detailed on what he was going to do. it was painless!!!! he`s so great and the girls in the front oh my gosh they are gorgeous and smart. The young girl in the front desk is so helpful. when i went in i had a broken leg so i couldn`t sit or stand alone she was always ready to help me in what ever i needed.
