Tears of Gratitude…read more Our yard was seriously attacked by the last ice storm in Austin. I called our wonderful tree service, Marcus, "Just Trees" and sent photos of our damage. He sent his guys today. They, a team of four guys, arrived at 4:00 PM EXHAUSTED. I surveyed the damage with the foreman, Pablo, and he looked at me, as if I wanted him to fly me on his back to Mars, and finally said, "We will do our best to address the major concerns, and then we can come back..." I left at 6 PM to have dinner with a friend, the sun was quickly setting, and there was a 35' Oak tree, bi-truncated laying on the ground, a 40' Pecan tree with two major branches fallen, a row of Oak branches...I thanked him profusely and left. I came home at 9:30 PM and used by BIG ASS Flashlight and reviewed the work. I immediately began to cry...These hardworking, amazing guys, had cleaned the ENTIRE yard. I can't fathom the depth of character and commitment to work that these guys employed. Anyone else might of said, well, it's getting dark, we're exhausted and we will come back...Not these cats. I feel so blessed and so fortunate. There are GOOD PEOPLE in the world, and these guys are on the list!

The Just Trees work that deserved a 2-star review on 6/25/2023 (see the review) was an aberration…read more Today, Tree Service sent a different crew to my home and--without charging me--this different crew spent 2 hours doing an excellent job of clearing all the deadwood out of my trees that the previous crew sloppily left. I'm still broken-hearted that the original crew cut down without reason two big limbs on my heritage live oak that were not supposed to be cut down (basically, cutting the whole limbs down saved them time). There's a lesson to be learned: Be sure that the crew chief who is responsible for work on your trees understands exactly what work he is supposed to do, and make sure he receives permission before doing any additional work that you and the arborist have NOT approved of. I'll definitely be using Just Trees in future. Chris Poth is surely one of the top arborists in Texas--and he's as principled as he is knowledgeable.

I'm holding back a star for now until the job is finished. They have to schedule the stump grinding for a different day. They did a great job trimming about 10 trees and removing 2 dead ones. They arrived within the time window & were finished in less than 2 hours. They cleaned up the limbs & mess. Very impressed. The price was unbelievable. Very similar to my former tree company, so the sting is a bit less now. Highly recommend. I will update after the stump grinding is completed.

After calling the office a…read morecouple of times, someone called me back saying that she's at the location, but I didn't see her. Found out she's at the location about 45 min from me. I told her to reschedule later in the afternoon, then she called me a couple hours before the appt and saying that she's 20 min away. I couldn't meet her at that time so she quoted without me being at the property. Fine, once she's at the location, she called me and said they will remove dead branches etc and gave me a discount, it will be 2 trailer load of branches etc. I looked at the estimate and it's quite reasonable so I signed it. The crew came the next day, start cutting the branches over the roof. I saw some dead branches on the tree. When I asked the crew, dead branches were not listed on the quote so they refused to remove them. They said I would have to pay extra to remove them. I was like what??? What's the point of having the tree trimming if you leave dead branches there. The storm will blow them and damage the roof. Oh they almost forgot to blow the debris on 1 location, I have to remind them. Will not be using their service again.
