I'm not super into nutrition, fitness, or really focusing on what I eat--so I am far from their target demographic, but I'm a super fan. For one, their meals heat, freeze, and reheat well, which means if I over order, I can freeze something for next week and know it'll taste just as good as if I'd ordered it today. I like that they make their nutritional info so visible, which makes it easier for me to decide if I'd rather have a healthy lunch and a pint of ice cream or just go straight to the ice cream. Just kidding. Mostly. And maybe most importantly, their customer service has been excellent whenever I've called with a question, concern, or even a problem. Their food is really tasty, too, which helps. My favorites: the Thai chili meatballs for sure, though I do also really like the turkey chili. My only complaints are that they don't deliver on Mondays (which I suppose means that my Tuesday delivery is extra fresh and, fine, I GUESS they deserve a day off too), and that the website is a little clunky--you can't save a secondary address (like your home and office, or your home, you office, and your side hustle office), and that it can be a little tricky to distinguish carb-free from all-the-carbs by photo alone, which means I have to go three extra clicks to confirm. I have tried 3 meal prep companies (CleanEats, FitFuel Prep (disgusting!) and Fresh Diet (not bad but way too expensive). Clean Eats by far is the best. They are the CLEANEST and most resemble home cooked food. I've lost 40 lbs in 3.5 months. A large part of this has to do with the convenience of having the Clean Eats meals ready to go at any time. When I have to think about and make decisions on food, I'm more likely to pick junk. Since I've been counting calories in MyFitnessPal, I love that the Clean Eats meals has the nutrition info labeled on every meal and also on their website. I do wish that it included more than the basic macros (protein, carbs, fat, calories). Wish it had sugar, vitamin content, etc but it's not a huge deal. My favorite Clean Eats meals are: - Buffalo Ranch Chicken Tacos - Clean-Izza Burger (like a pizza burger with no bread, over whole wheat spaghetti - Asian BBQ Chicken with brown rice and vegetables - Pasta Salad (with feta, tomatoes, etc... So good) - Turkey Chili Quinoa bowl (guiltless comfort food!) One downside is that I wish that the delivery times were more specific. Like Fresh Direct grocery delivery offers 2 hr windows. That helps me plan better around it. Clean Eats delivers on Sunday's and Wednesday evenings but it's a large window and sometimes I'm not home. At least they've started using freezer bags now, so the food has a better chance of staying cool while waiting for me to get home. Overall, the service is great. The company is progressive and always looking to improve. And you can't beat the price! $10 per meal. I definitely spend more than that eating out and sometimes eating at home too. I have been happy with the meals most of the time. I have been ordering for almost a year. Lately since the the move/renovation, the meals have changed. Also, they were closed for renovations. It took then approximately 3 months. I ordered meals that were supposed to be coming in Jan/Feb. No delivery until March. I would contact them & ask where is my Delivery. They would send an email back eventually. Each week stating that they were waiting for this or that and were delayed in opening. I would always have to contact them first. So when I finally received my order... the meals are different! The eggplant balls are not the same recipe. It is supposed to come with speghetti squash. Instead it is bland & came with zucchini ... a few thin tiny slices. Then my egg white omelette (which is scrambled) did not taste the same. Food tastes great. However, portion sizes are not consistent with the nutrition facts whatsoever. I weighed the chicken from the chicken bacon ranch and it came to 3 oz. of chicken. Where does the 43 grams of protein come from? Surely not the little bit of bacon and one little broccoli or the potatoes that the meal tray comes with. UPDATE: As if it couldn't get worse.... They never credited the money back to the gift certificate which I have now given to someone else. After leaving 2 voice mails, because they don't answer their phones, I got an email claiming I instructed them not to refund the gift certificate. Totally false. I honestly have never experienced such horrible customer in my entire life. Order at your own risk. I received a gift certificare for Christmas on Friday, placed an order on Sunday. The website said the next available delivery date was Thursday December 31 between 6p and 10pm. Thursday comes and I get an email just before 3pm saying they are postponing my delivery for Monday. And they are not operating that day. WHAT?!? I was staying in for New Years and this was my dinner plan. This was a 1st time order and honestly, it was a last. When 50% if your business model is DELIVERY and CONVENIENCE, it behooves you to actually fufill those aspects. Instead of apologizing after I let them know that this was a horrible.way to treat a potential new customer, I got an attitude claiming how their food and service is outstanding. Hardly. I, too, own a food business. My customers would never tolerate me pushing their deliveries off by DAYS. It's simpy unacceptable. If you are going to order, make sure you have back up plans to eat.
