We also ended up getting some the assorted tofu soup which came with beef and seafood. These come with rice, and banchan (side dishes). I do wish there were more banchan options however, the banchan they did have were delicious and our waitress was nice enough to offer us refills. Sometimes you have to ask for refills, and while most will do it for free, some charge you or have an attitude so it was nice that she was so pleasant about it. The tofu soup was sooooo good! Not spicy, but had a good depth to it. The tofu was melt in your mouth and the seafood fresh. It had mussels, shrimp and calamari, which were cooked well. The beef was thinly sliced and not too lean for the soup. The spicy pork was good too. Also not too spicy, and not too sweet. I like that the pork was thin sliced and soaked up the flavor well as it had a good ratio of fat/lean meat. The galbi was basic.. nothing exceptional. Just a good short rib. Definitely less sweet than some I've had, so I appreciated that they didn't lean too heavily on the sugar. At the last minute, I opted to add on the jjajjangmyeon from the specials board. One thing about me, if jjajjangmyeon is on the menu, I'm getting it! The black bean sauce was rich, deep, and packed full of pork and veggies. The sauce stayed pretty thick even after mixing it all into the noodles too, which was nice as each noodle got a good coat of sauce on it. I felt like I ate so much, but there was still a whole lot of noodles left. Definitely the type of dish you eat as a standalone meal, or share.
