They refused to make coffee or food an hour before closing time. Just is frustrating.

Drinks are going to be drinking, Not that I've gotten that out of the way... I've always heard such great things about Bird Tree Cafe. And I hadn't gone until yesterday! Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe. I cannot wait to come back and try their breakfast and more lattes!

The staff was super busy when I walked in, but they still took the time to greet me and were incredibly friendly. I ordered, found a seat, and my drink and pastry came out really quickly. Everything tasted fresh and hit the spot after a long hike. Great food, great service, and a really welcoming atmosphere. If you're in the area and looking for a place with good vibes and friendly people, I'd definitely recommend stopping by

You can park in a pay lot next to the Hotel It's at the floor level of or you can park on the street and pay metered parking. We chose metered. I dislike the scan & pay lots. You walk in & you should review the menu prior & pay up front, and then your menu selections will be delivered to your table. It's a beautiful set up, it reminds me of a greenhouse there's large wooden tables, & smaller black tables in a glass encased area with several hanging plants. There are also many table/booth combinations inside. We ordered: Hobo sandwich with seasoned cubed potatoes Slice of quiche Side of season potatoes Beet salad (added grilled chicken) An iced tea Spicy chai Total was close to $80 average for brunch definitely not terrible once you see the quality of what comes out of the kitchen. Tasting it all was amazing - flavorful, thoughtfully prepared & great attention to detail including sourcing great ingredients and using the correct spices! I cannot wait to come back and try something else!

This has been put on our no list now. When we ordered today, my son asked about Caesar salad and the woman at the counter did not say that they didn't have them. Then when they brought the food out, she said it's not an option. Why not say it when we ordered. Last time my bowl was missing the goat cheese, and I had to ask for it. I also added chicken and mushrooms to my bowl and I literally received about 5-6 mushrooms, which equals more than a dollar a mushroom. This time, my side salad was supposed to have balsamic and had another dressing. My son had the burger and said that the consistency was weird. My other son had the same sandwich he always has and the bread was different, though the menu didn't indicate that it was.

Large water jugs and cups were available to grab for your table. They also had a section of board games to choose from. My friends and I grabbed some drinks and breakfast to begin our day, while I filled out my wedding card for my friend. I got their iced chai, which had the option of a sweeter or spicier taste. I went with sweeter as a baseline. I also got the pulled pork breakfast burrito to split with my hot fiancé. The chai was delicious! Good amount of sweetness but still had some spice to it. The breakfast burrito came nice and toasted with a delicious crunchy shell. I'm so glad we chose to split it because it was quite the burrito. The pulled pork was a bit dry but they offered a cup of salsa, and my fiancé found their store made bottled hot sauce which we paired with. Absolutely delicious! There were seasoned potatoes on the burrito which helped fill us up. Flavors were great and I left so full and satisfied with just half. There was a cute little library outside too so we browsed the offerings. Love the vibes and the food and service exceeded our expectations!

FOOD: We got a couple of chai lattes which were okay, if a bit on the sweet side. My wife got an interesting ham-apple-berry-brie bagle sandwich (messy but tasty); I got a breakfast burrito (more of a breakfast panini) (huge, overly-cheesy, but tasty). SERVICE: In the face of a lot of business (it was 11 am, there was a line at the counter the entire time we were there, plus all the tables in the shop were full, as were several more in the hallway), the service was very friendly and fairly efficient. Drinks were ready in a reasonable time. There was a bobble with the sandwich order (drinks are picked up at the counter by name; foodstuff you get a table number marker and is delivered to you), but they recovered very graciously. Since the food was scratch-made, it looks, it was in a reasonable time frame. ATMOSPHERE: Very crowded, pretty noisy, rather spare and worn environment -- arguably all signs of how successful they've been. Saw lots of open laptops at tables -- I suspect a lot of folk enjoy the free wi-fi and good eats and drinks. The parking lot was ... very full, except for the several Tesla chargers, only one of which was in use (we still had a good charge so we didn't make use of them). NET-NET: It was a great place for coffee and a bite on our way north out of the downtown where we didn't have to worry (as much) about parking. In a similar situation, I'd be happy to return.
