I wanted to write a review to talk about Mark at Clean Juice in the uptown Charlotte location. He is seriously the most joyful person I've ever met behind a counter. Every time I stop by during lunch to grab a smoothie, he's in the best mood, smiling, upbeat, and just radiating positivity. It genuinely makes my day better. On top of that, he always prepares everything with so much care. You can tell he actually loves what he does and wants every order to be perfect. It's rare to find someone who brightens your afternoon just by handing you a smoothie, but that's exactly what Mark does. Clean Juice is lucky to have him! When traveling it can be hard to find a healthy and affordable breakfast spot. I ordered Clean Juice via ubereats and it was the perfect start to what I knew would be a busy day. I opted for an iced coffee with almond milk the detox juice. I also ordered the protein toast which is essentially the breakfast I make for myself regularly - avocado smashed on sprouted toast with a hardboiled egg, red pepper flakes and sea salt. Everything tasted like something I would make at home, super clean and tasty. Will most definitely add this into my travel rotation. read more

Been here too many times to count pre-pandemic and now that they've reopened I'm back again. This juicers is conveniently located in the heart of uptown right on 4th and is an easy walk from the large corporations nearby. Parking can be a pain during the weekday, but many garages charge by the half hour which is plenty of time to grab and go. There was no wait when I visited and the person taking my order was friendly and helpful. I got a pumpkin cold brew smoothie which was tasty. I like their juices too and recently realized that the packaging changed. I think they are now packaged on the farm where they are produced. There's a lot of other options to choose from like bowls, wraps, avocado toast and even juices for the kiddos. Stop in and take a look. read more

Whenever I'm uptown for work and I need a healthy breakfast this is always my go to. The ingredients are fresh, the staff is friendly, and service is quick. My favorite is the berry açaí bowl or the banana toast. I even noticed they have a prayer request jar which I felt was a very heartfelt touch. read more

Love this place... all of the locations! Everything is healthy and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorite and go to is the acai bowls. I always add almond butter if it isn't already included in the bowl. I recommend downloading the app for easy and fast ordering along with rewards. Everything like I do an app order it is ready right when I walk in. My new favorite is the fall bowl. I wish it was around year round. The pumpkin flavors with banana is so yummy! This place has no leadership. We waited 50 minutes for one sandwich today. We had to wait that long because the store was out of almond milk. When I informed the staff that we the sandwich we ordered did not have almond milk, they said they could not make any orders until the other orders were filled. I asked for a refund after waiting for 30 minutes, I was told they could not refund our money because a manger is not working that day, and only a manger could cancel the order and provide a refund. So we waited another 20 minutes for the sandwich, and by the way the sandwich tasted terrible. Do not waste your time, this place has terrible food and horrible customer service. read more

I came by here Friday morning for the grand opening hoping I was one of the first 50 people so I can get my free juice every week for the year but nope, I wasn't early enough. But anywho I enjoyed this place, I havent been to one before. I downloaded the app and was able to get a $5 off coupon which I used on the juice that I purchased which was "The Glow One" which had cucumber, apple, kale and spinach. I liked it alot. The staff was very nice and patient with me as I didn't know what I wanted to order since I wasn't familiar with the options. This spot is just a couple blocks away from work so I'll def be back to try some different juices. read more

We came to see the basketball game and stopped to get sandwiches, açaí bowl, dessert, and juice. Mark was amazing - friendly, thorough, patient - and prepared the meal with such care! I'm glad that we can get protein in our acai bowls, which is a plus. Acai bowl was okay, fruits in it were fresh enough and granola was okay...not party-in-my-tastebuds good, but decent. I just don't see how a small acai bowl and a ginger shot can come out to $28, but at least it hit my smoothie bowl craving. Would I come again for the price? Prooooobably not, especially as I can get a large size custom acai bowl for $13-15 in Cali, but for those who are in this area, this may be the best you can get so if you got the craving....then why not I guess. read more

Staff is great and they play the best music....staff and I always have a mini dance party when I come in and I'm waiting on my juice. Place is clean...it's a short walk from my office, and I can order ahead on their app. Only thing is it's hard to find if you don't know where to look. First off, I've never felt compelled to write a negative review but this was ridiculous. I was craving an açaí bowl & stumbled across this place so thought I'd grab one. Looked good, wasn't horribly priced & there was a line so that's a good sign, right? Well there was a line because they were so slow! I literally waited over a half an hour for my berry bowl, hold the honey, add almond butter. They made maybe 3 other bowls & 3 juices in the time I was waiting. One of the people before me had their bowl made incorrectly 2x because, the sharpie was almost dead, which meant they couldn't read the modifications & apparently they didn't have a new one. The bowl itself was ok, barely any granola , mushy banana that shouldn't have been on there & I didn't taste any almond butter. Fortunately I don't live in Charlotte so I don't have to come back because it was quite disappointing. read more

It's was hard to find a juice bar in the uptown neighborhood of charlotte.. and especially difficult to find one open past 3pm. I came to clean juice in desperate need of vegetables in the form of a tasty juice. The juices are quite a bit more expensive than even what I pay in California.. nearly $9!! What is disappointing is that in this high price tag.. is ice in the juice.. which will water down the flavor and take up space that otherwise fresh squeezed juice would go. I personally think chilling the produce and then juice with out ice would be better. The wheat grass shots are also nearly $5 and come already packaged in a bottle. Not only is that terribly over priced, but it's not even fresh squeezed when you buy it. Overall.. the menu had some great juice and smoothie recipes. I don't know if I'll be back considering the price tag and all the ice in the drink. The customer service was very friendly and quick.. but it won't be enough to have me drop $9 on a juice again. read more

This location makes horrible smoothies (employees put in the wrong ingredients) and then refuses to give refunds. I still haven't gotten my money back for a drink that was made wrong by a new employee who didn't know what they were doing. My favorite smoothie came out black and tasted awful. My friend couldn't drink it either. I asked for a refund and gave the manager my receipt and they said they would "take care of it later"! They couldn't refund me right away??? I never received that refund, and now management won't refund me because they've apparently lost my receipt. Corporate won't respond either, so clearly this is a company-wide problem. Clean space, and wide variety of food options, but they need to improve their accuracy and efficiency. I went two days in a row, and both times I waited 20 minutes for an Açaí bowl when no one was in front of me in line. Both times the orders were slightly incorrect. I have food allergies, so it's extremely important for the adjustments in my orders to be precise. It should not take 20 minutes to prepare an acai bowl. Period. But I'm hopeful for Clean Juice's growth. read more

Although I prefer the South End location, this Clean Juice is a solid addition to Uptown. Location is a little tricky bc the address says Tryon St. but is actually tucked away off of 4th St. and Tryon. The inside is nice and clean and offers the same items as all other Charlotte locations. You can choose from pre made juices, fresh juices on ice, smoothies, açaí bowls and different toasts/oatmeal. They also offer full juice cleanses. My favorite is "The Immunity One" juice with carrot, orange, turmeric and lemon. They also serve it over the good little ball ice. I also highly prefer their açaí bowls over Rico's- the base is much more like a thick smoothie. The avocado toast is also very tasty. WiFi password is clearly posted and two bathrooms are available. Service at this location during lunch time is a bit slow, but all in all a good spot to grab a healthy and organic snack or meal on the go. My first time getting an Acai bowl here the flavor of the Acai was amazing but on the other hand, the toppings were very scarce. I asked for a basic strawberry and banana bowl and my bowl had probably like 3 strawberries and half a sliced banana. My hubby and I came in because he had a hair appointment around the corner, so we thought we could get in, order quick, & eat before he had to leave, like 30 minutes. So we order, & then a whole bunch of people come in after us. He ordered a berry bowl- quick & easy, as I'm sure it is one of the most ordered bowls. He got his bowl about 10-15 minutes after ordering. He got to eat his in the 30 minutes we had before his haircut. I ordered a green bowl, as well as 2-3 other people BEHIND ME. Apparently, my order got put at the bottom of the stack, therefore, I had to wait the 30 minutes we had, just waiting for my bowl! I was given the excuse that "we only have one blender for the green bowls, so yours is being made now." **Blank stares**... why was my bowl not at the first made?? Bowls should be made in the order that they are ordered, correct? So if bowls are stacked, then grab the bottom dish & make that first! I ended up taking my bowl back to the hotel room to eat, because my hubby had to make his appointment. Beyond disappointed with the service. Not to mention the lady taking orders (had a heart tattoo under her right eye) seemed none too happy to be working. I'm sorry if you're having a bad day, but don't bring it to work. Customer service 101. Really enjoy the Juiceria that we have in Goose Creek, SC much better. I've never had a bad thing to say about a Clean Juice until now. I did a mobile order and when I showed up, it was just sitting on the counter with no lid and halfway melted. Usually they put mobile orders in the fridge because you don't know when the person will arrive. Then on top of that half my topping were missing that the other employee thankfully caught and had her add. The bowl it was in had almond butter on the outside. This is probably one of the slowest juice bar operations ever! I am all about quality ingredients and soulful food craft , however, this location is definitely missing the natural rhythm of food/drink preparation. Regardless if there is no customers ahead of you or 5 customers ahead of you, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes. Staff is extremely slow and has no sense of efficient preparation. I suggest management invest in training and perhaps simple operation efficiencies. I gave this place a shot for months and finally gave up. read more

They are great and reasonable for what you are getting. I am on a specific morning smoothie meal replacement with powder, unsweetened almond milk, organic berries and greens. They were so nice to blend in my powder packet and make a custom smoothie just like at home. I did forget the greens, but it tasted very good. I love this location in Uptown! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. My current favorite obsession is the Fall Bowl. It has pumpkin in it, need I say more?? I also love the option of the cold pressed bottles. When I'm in a rush, I can just run in, grab a bottle, and be on my way. I am a big fan of the recovery smoothies for after my tough workouts. So I was very disappointed today when I ended my workout a little early to grab one before close at 6, got there at 5:30 and the doors were locked and chairs put up. I saw someone inside but they completely ignored me. Not sure since this location is new if this is due to new workers or if closing early randomly is the new norm. read more

I just updated to 4 stars from 3 because the manager reached out and offered a free smoothie to compensate. That's good customer service. Prior to update: I've been to this location several times and have always been pleased. However, I was there yesterday with three of my co-workers (I dragged them here - for 2 of them it was their first time at any Clean Juice, for one it was her first time at this location). My co-workers were happy with their choices. However, I ordered a Healthy Heart smoothie and it was beige / light brown. At the other locations it's always been light green - because of the avocado. When I tasted it, I could only taste almond milk. The lady who prepared it said it was the Healthy Heart smoothie and it had all of the appropriate ingredients (I did switch out the maple syrup for date paste). I didn't make a big deal because I was with my co-workers, one had to get back to a meeting and there were people waiting to be served. But, I have to say it tasted more like an almond milk slushie - had lots of ice. When I looked on the Clean Juice website, sure enough - the Healthy Heart smoothie should be a light green. read more
