My wife booked a haircut appointment for our daughter and explained over the phone how long her hair was. The hairdresser quoted $45, but said she would charge $35 if paying cash, which my wife agreed to. At the appointment, the hairdresser didn't even wash our daughter's hair, finished the cut in less than 25 minutes, and then charged $45 anyway. When my wife reminded her about the cash price she quoted over the phone, she claimed it was because our daughter's hair was longer...even though my wife had already explained the length when booking. This is a long-overdue update. I've been to see Lucie over 30 times in the past 5+ years. She's taken me from highlights to all-over blonde to dark brunette to light brunette and probably back to blonde again soon. She's taken me from chin-length to pixie then back to chin-length and back to pixie again. All I have to say is "This time I want X shape and X color" and I know I can trust her to send me out the door two hours later looking exactly how I want to look. Best of all, I always enjoy seeing her and talking with her. We laugh a lot and share stories about our kids and our travels and our lives. We have inside jokes. this is from a Pacifican: after spending $300 cash on a cut and body wave- the owner said it won't look exactly like the pictures I brought to her but she said it will be very close. I want bangs- they didn't give me bang. They gave me a side sweep. They said the body wave will give me bangs. Nothing was wispy about the style they gave me. They said I can wash my hair in two weeks and if I am not satisfied they will refund me all less the $30 tip. When I returned to Fairmont Pacifica/ CLEAN LOOKS business name - they said they don't remember me at all. I told them I paid cash but don't have a receipt. They said if I pay cash I will get 15 percent discount. We went in circles with who what where why. Manager is in Taiwan for one month. I will be back in nov to get my money back. By the way. I usually call in a few minutes before I plan to leave to ask if there is any availability. And most times, it's pretty available. I am sad it went from $20 to $25 last year but regardless, it's still a great price for a men's haircut. Parking is for the most part relatively easy to find. Was either January or February another great visit. Tony rocks. Nearly fell asleep during the relaxing shampoo and the cut still looks good months later. It's like he can look at a photo and like Edward scissorhands he just knows how to sculpt it. Brought my adult son in the following week.His still looks good too. I used to visit this place a few times for my hair cut. I tried to perm my hair for the first time here. They don't have the digital perm machine. I accept the cold perm. I don't care which way it will be done. But I am very disappointed with the final results. The hair after perm looks very messy and no shape at all. I asked that I don't want to have a round shape in the bottom. But the lady couldn't get to where I want. My heart is broken when I see the final results. I have to hold my tears to accept it is what it is. After I got home and shower, I noticed my hair band was done incorrectly. As the hair band has the same curl as the other part. Also there is an area of hair is permed in a flat direction. It is on top of my head with the flattest hair. I don't want to ask for more from them or going back with a fix. Because it is the skill they don't have. read more

Never visit this place for hair color. I went to get the highlights done and was not happy at all. My hair was looking red so i went again to get them fixed. Then they becomes the worst. They all looked orange and damaged. Please check the photos attached. Paid $150 first time and $30 second time to fix. I don't think i can get my money back :( So I visited another place to get my hair fixed. Fortunately i found one who fixed it. But need to spend again thus wasted a whole lot of money and coloring is not cheap :( read more

This place was so welcoming! I had to book a last minute hair cut for a trip and I'm so thankful they could accommodate me because now I have a new spot. Lucy was so sweet and asked for my input every step of the way- and the results came out better than I imagined. She was so thorough with every step from the wash to the heat protectant when blow drying to the constant double checking that each side was even. I have heard and read good things about this shop. Went there for a cut after growing my hair for 4 months. Due to covid restrictions my barber was closed. I put my hair in the hands of a woman who knew what she was doing. Studies the way my hair grew. Noticed a cowlick and where my hair naturally parted and just did her thing. Clean Looks is awesome! I walked in without an appointment on a rainy Saturday afternoon and was greeted warmly. There was no wait, and Nicole seated me and prepped me for my haircut. I explained what I wanted and showed her a couple of pics, and she understood right away and got to work. My cut (a classic bob) came out perfectly -- it's exactly what I was hoping for! Amazingly, the cut plus a shampoo was just $30. Nicole is very sweet and cheerful and worked confidently but carefully. I enjoyed chatting with her....Somehow, the conversation didn't seem forced. The Clean Looks salon itself is clean, bright, and colorful and doesn't have that "dated" feel that some little places have. Plus, there's no retail -- no expensive product to feel obligated to buy at the end of the visit. Parking is easy in the Fairmont Shopping Center lot. read more

I'm always looking for a place to get a good cut or trim. Found this place via yelp and it was a newer place that opened up. I forgot the lady's name (not good) who cut my hair. She graduated from Skyline and was nice enough. She talked me into get my hair washed. I get the sleepies when someone massages my head. Worst 10 minutes of my life. Ever. It felt like she was using her knuckles on my entire head. Knuckles that were shaped like bird claws, biting into my scalp. I didn't want to say anything 'cause she hadn't started cutting yet, so I muscled through it. Now, everyone has seen Angelah Johnson's nail salon bit, right? Yeah, that happened. 10 minutes of foreign language conversation, then one of them tells me, "She likes the color of your hair". Hmmm... Anyway, the cut wasn't bad. Not great, either. The salon seemed clean and I would go back if I was in a pinch and needed a cut, but no more washes and head massages. read more
