Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning - Working hard at our booth during East Brunswick Day 2016!

    Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning

The Cleaning? Chef's Kiss. The Customer Service? Absolute Clown Show…read more Let me paint you a picture: I'm sitting in Las Vegas, 2,500+ miles away, trying to coordinate carpet cleaning for my rental property in New Jersey like some kind of long-distance logistics wizard. OxiFresh was my ride-or-die back when I lived there -- their cleaning is genuinely stellar, no notes. But oh boy, did Corporate have other plans for me. I called the franchise location directly and got connected to what I can only describe as a human answering machine with a script and zero problem-solving skills. She asked for my zip code, discovered I was ONE town over from their service area, and essentially said "not my problem" with a smile in her voice. Fine. I escalated to their big, shiny nationwide toll-free number -- you know, the one that implies they can help anyone, anywhere. Same song, different robot. And when I asked if they could at least point me toward someone who could help? Crickets. Loud, echoing, maddening crickets. So here I am, managing a 2,500-mile gap, a time zone difference, and a corporate policy so rigid it apparently can't bend one zip code for a loyal customer. I eventually found a local mom-and-pop shop that's been in business for 38+ years -- and shockingly, they acted like they actually wanted my business. Imagine that! OxiFresh, your cleaning crew is amazing. Your corporate policy department, however, needs a deep clean of its own.

I have used the services provided by ServiceMaster in the past and they have done and excellent…read morejob. However, in July 2019 I had the following experience. We live in a Kendall Park ranch home. Lots of deer around here. In addition to Central air my son has an air conditioner in his bedroom. He has cancer and chemotherapy treatments tend to make him run very hot. We were also having a heat wave around July 20th. His air conditioner started to drip water onto his bed and also onto the carpet and padding. Some water got onto the sill and wall below the unit. We replaced the old KP ranch windows in 1989 with Anderson windows. I painted the trim and sills myself with Fabulon, to prevent the wood from getting darker and also with 2 coats of Satin finish Polyurethane. I'm guessing that the deer leaned on the outside part of the unit while they were eating the berries off the bushes. There's a large herd around here. That was what probably caused the unit to tilt inward. Anyhow, my son has seen me call Servicemaster in 2015 when the coupling behind the washer failed and water went all over the living room and dining room floors. So, unknown to me, he called them Servicemaster arrived around 9 PM on a Saturday night. I was sleeping on a sofa in another room. They went into Pete's room and stayed till after 12 AM..the boss, Kamal, showed up around Midnight looking at bit under the weather. He stayed for about an hour. All of this is on our Security cameras. The Servicemaster "contract" only has their name on it. No address, names, phone numbers or emails. Just their name. The estimate line was left blank and the person who is supposed to sign the estimate didn't. Of course in 3 to 4 hours, one of the guys or Kamal could easily have figured out an estimate, written it on the line and signed it. But, no one did. Pete signed the document. He had no authority to do so. I was asleep on the sofa down the hall and around the corner. I didn't wake up until I hear them outside leaving. I'm 72 and I take meds for osteoarthritis. They have a side effect of dizziness, loss of balance and sleepiness. WHAT COMPANY SHOWS UP AT 9 PM ON SATURDAY NIGHT? WHAT COMPANY ONLY HAS THE NAME ON THE "CONTRACT?" WHAT COMPANY DOESN'T PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE? I recieved a bill for 1100 dollars several months later. WHAT? I called and told them I wasn't going to pay it. They kept calling me and trying to push me to file a claim with my insurance company..."oh, they'll pay it." NO. I refused to file a fraudulent claim. I cleaned up the water with a towel and a few paper towels. I didn not rip out the wall and the sill as they told me I wouod have to do. Their lawyer is now suing me....my name is not on that contract and Pete had no authority to sign it for me. They know me from 2015 and they know that I'm the homeowner and I'm the person you deal with. Their several attempts to get me to report it to my homeowners insurance company would have had me making a fraudulent complaint Be very careful with these guys. Get and estimate. I hope they actually spend a few minutes creating a real contract with names, phone numbers, email. I'll be seeing their attorney in Small Claims Court. I will post the outcome.
