David responded quickly to my quote request. Scheduled him with 1 day notice. He confirmed the appointment time and called me when he was 30 minutes from my home. He was very professional in dress and attitude. Cleans up after his work is completed. In our case we have some fixture lights not working. Ended up being a bad wire. He had to replace a broken wire and get it past a stud. He cut a small hole in the drywall to route the new wire. Made the connections and we had power restored to the fixtures. Then he replaced the piece of drywall he cutout and cleaned up his work area. Dave did a great job on my house in Wrightwood, but he really put it an extra effort to help me out. I put in a bid for a couple of small jobs at my house, expecting that it would be days before I could get someone out. Dave was headed back from a job in Running Springs and offered to head to my house that afternoon. His price was great, but more than that he is a kind, competent electrician who wants to do a complete job. What started as simply replacing a wall sconce got complicated fast, but Dave hung in there and got the job done. He also had no problem installing my Nest smoke detectors (I did the programming). I would recommend Dave, and I hope to have him back soon. He noticed a minor safety hazard in my garage and he wants to come back and fix it. Update 12/10/18: This could qualify as a whole new review but Yelp would get suspicious. Anyway, asked Dave out again to help repair the safety hazard and install an outdoor lighted sign. Dave came out towards the end of his workday and worked inside and outside of my garage till both jobs were finished into the cold and dark night. It was quite cold but he powered through, and even offered to move one of the garage light fixtures to a different/better location. Another great experience, thanks Dave! 5 stars (again). Read your post, David did say he would let me know that morning for a time frame, and never did. So Steve just forgot about it. According to Steve's phone, he called 15 min before arriving. Unaware he was there, his phone was muted. Since then we hired a new electrician and traced the wires under the sink and found a damaged wire that was tripping the breaker. read more

David is the type of electrician a serious customer should hire. He recently installed a new breaker panel (mine was circa 1962) and transfer switch for a backup generator on my home. His cost surprised me because it was so affordable. His knowledge of all elements of the work and the various outside parties and permits involved also surprised me. So happy with the job. I recently purchased a plug and play spa. I decided I wanted to run it using a 230 connection instead of 110. The GFCI plug in my garage would not reset. I'm a "handy" homeowner and can do most minor to medium repairs. This one had me stumped. I called Dave @ Clean Star Electric.
