We stop here everytime we come to Cannon Beach and usually more than once. Everyone is helpful and remembers you. They make renting a board and gear quick and easy. They genuinely care about you have a great experience so they recommend spots and give you some helpful tips and fun information. They went surfing at the spot Point Break was filmed and a small part of Twilight. The price is excellent. The whole package for the two of them was about 140.00 for the entire day to rent the boards and full gear. We will continue to go back every time we visit and get our annual Cleanline hoodies. read more

So happy about my experience at Cleanline. I asked someone on the phone whether they had any used hard top 8' fun/egg boards. They let me know that they didn't, but guided me towards a similarly priced new board that would have the same rideability as what I was looking for, and that I could rent the same type of board they had for sale and try it out. I discovered that their rental prices are much more reasonable than another rental place I had considered in Cannon Beach. I rented the board and stood up on my first wave of the day! This is expert level customer support. I had no idea what eventual level of satisfaction I had stumbled upon when I first visited the cleanline website. I searched "Labor Day wetsuit sales" on Google and was taken to Cleanline, a website that looked pretty normal on the surface. The more I found out about it, the more excited I got. First, their Labor Day sale was great. Second, no sales tax. Third, no shipping cost! I was already incredibly satisfied by the time I clicked "place order." However, the greatness didn't end there. As soon as I placed the order, I figured I'd check out the place on Yelp. What I saw was something I hadn't seen before, a perfect five star rating on not one both both of their locations. The yelp reviews were stellar and customers from across the country were elated. Three days later, I received my wetsuit and was able to participate in the joy. My box came with my wetsuit, stickers, a handwritten note, candy, and wax made for my city's waters. This was just so considerate that I would never imagine shopping anywhere else again. Ok people... I've worked in the skate, surf, and snowboard industry for well over a decade and customer service even longer! I have never seen anything like this. I mean the shop looks like your average surf shop. But the people that work there are incredible! I've been coming into buy and rent for a few summers now. And they always remember me (I live in Boise Idaho!) so they see me very few and far between. This last time, I requested a specific board to rent in advance. When I got there they forgot to have it transferred down from the Sea Side shop. So what does the guy do... He drops everything he's doing and drives 30min to and from the other shop just to get me that specific board. And I didn't mind the wait due to the skate park being like a mile away. When I got back, the board was ready and he gave me a discount on the entire deal. Smiles, hand shakes, and high fives all around! Spencer, you're the man! read more

Tim who manages the store is very helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you get the best fitting wetsuits and accessories. So much so, he talked me out of buying surf boots for my daughter because the fit was not goof enough. When is the last time you heard that? Especially in a recession! Something to note is that you can return your child's wetsuit (up to 16) for 50% off the purchase of your next size up. Cleanline is by far the best surf shop in CB. We were staying in Seaside and there sister store there was sold out of rentals for the Canadian long weekend so we were directed here, where we cleaned out the last of there surf boards. They fitted us and gave us everything we needed for $35. Because we were a big group (8), we managed to talk them into getting the boards at the end of the day and keeping them for the next for one day. The store is full of really nice stuff as well. A few of us managed to buy wet suites, purses, and hats. Service was awesome. I would go back in a heart beat. read more

I was referred to rent from Cleanline through a coworker that praised their service and dedication to the local surfing community. He was right, they offer great customer service! The people working at Cleanline are super nice and courteous every time I rented gear, about 4 times in the past two months. The price to rent a board, boots and wetsuit was very affordable. Due to the frequency of my visits, I was trying to decide whether or not I wanted buy my own surf gear. When I came back to drop off my rental gear, Cleanline offered to discount my purchase of a wetsuit and boots by the amount I had spent on renting them that day. A++ read more

Amazing customer service! After receiving my wetsuit just a few days after ordering it, I decided I wanted to try the next size up just to be sure I have the correct one. I called Cleanline, and they did not have that size in the color I ordered. They contacted the wetsuit company directly to track one down for me and said I should have it late next week and can simply return the size I do not want. They are super friendly via phone and seem to genuinely care that folks are having a great experience. They also throw fun stickers and even some Starburst into the box - these people are fun :) Would highly recommend this place! read more

What can I say? It's a small town surf shop. The employees are stoked on surfing, and they want you to be stoked about surfing. They have set me up with rentals twice now, and have been great both times. They throw a surfboard rack in for free with rentals, and the wetsuits didn't seem rank at all. We showed up 30 minutes late after an awesome day of surfing, and they didn't even bat an eye. My brother broke a fin off one of the boards and they were chill about it, cost him another $15. read more

Went down to Oregon to go hit the waves for the first time. As soon as we walked in they treated us as one of their own. As we were all first timers they thoroughly explained everything we needed to know and answered any questions we had. One of our boys ended up hurting himself and they were extremely helpful in making sure he was okay and did what they could to help. All in all, it was an absolutely amazing experience and possibly the highlight of our trip. Some how I contacted these guys looking for an odd sized inner diameter wheel bearing for a mountain board I was handing down to my son...and not only did spencer go out of his way to contact the maker to get me the bearings I needed but, he did it fast and efficiently. I wound up needing two replacement locking nuts that The mountain board needed and once again when I contacted the guys down at clean line they immediately got in touch with the makers of the mountain board again and got them sent to me for free... Our first time to the Pacific Northwest. The area is beautiful, great service everywhere we went and then this place....Extremely disappointing. Ran in here quickly to purchase my son some clothing after he fell in the water. He was sitting in the car in his underwear on a chilly day waiting for some clothes. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and we told the salesman we were looking for some clothing and what sizes we needed. He said something unintelligible and walked away. We were in the store about 15 minutes and we were not approached or spoken to by any of the numerous employees. We found some things that would work and brought them to the counter. After waiting there about 5 minutes an employee yelled to the 4 other employees standing in the back room and doing nothing to come to the register. The lady reluctantly checked us out. So now the kicker... my husband has been looking for his CC for 5 days. We flew back to NM last night. This morning I remembered the crappy service at this store and decided to call them. Yep, Sure enough. The girl laughed and stated.. hahaha it's right here in the till. FYI, there is an 800 # on the card for a reason. I spent a $100 + in this store but they won't help me or take a few seconds to notify my CC company that the checkout lady failed to return my card to me. Customer service is crappy. read more
