Grace is the owner and she is amazing. She makes your experience so easy and private. The place has been completely remodeled and is beautiful. Colonics are great for restoring healthy bowel function and they can strengthen the immune system by increasing better absorption of nutrients. (The bowels are a major component of the immune system.) Colonics are covered by major health care providers too. This is a very private type of therapy and it should be comfortable and easy. I highly recommend Cleanse Marin. It is a beautiful, modern, clean facility. It has a lovely sitting area where you wait for your appointment and then sip a probiotic drink and tea afterwards. There is an interesting set of cards (like Tarot, but modern and based on relationships), so you can do a reading and ponder these while you do your treatment - makes for an introspective session. I liked the 'open system' where you get to control the water pressure and you can stop and start the system, in accordance with your own needs. Sometimes taking a 2 minute break is both very relaxing and produces very good results. Grace is a very knowledgable therapist (she gave me good tips on how to do a self massage), but also respects your privacy. (There is a bell you can ring She is also a very kind, warm person, which also helps given the nature of the work you do in there! Her facility looks newly remodeled and very clean. The room is cleaned thoroughly after each session. Colon hydrotherapy is a great adjunct to a detox program (I am doing Alejandro Junger's 'Clean' program.) I would recommend this place to either a person trying this for the first time, or someone who has hydrotherapy as a regular part of their life. Another suggestion is to give yourself a nice couple of hour block of time to get there early, relax, do the treatment, then relax and sip tea afterwards - you'll feel great. read more

Oh gosh, I actually joined YELP so I could write a review, so that's saying a lot! I want to share that my experience with Grace Janho and CleanseMarin exceeded my expectations. My naturopath doctor recommended me to CleanseMarin as I have been getting so many colds, allergies and generally feeling tired all the time. I travel on planes a lot for my job and I am usually dehydrated or in some state of being dehydrated. I wasn't concerned about my elimination (BMs) as much as I was feeling so deeply tired most of the time. First, I was a little freaked out when I looked up colonic hydrotherapy on the internet and read that there would be someone in the room with me. I didn't think I could deal with that. CleanseMarin is way different. Their colonics hydration system is the newest and most sophisticated type. No one is in the room with you while you are having your colonic, it's different from the old time systems. This is state of the art and super easy. I was still nervous when I arrived there but the owner, Grace, makes that melt away. She helps you from the minute you arrive, and she is so knowledgable. I learned way more about the benefits of these treatments than I had imagined before. It made me feel very safe that the office and the entire space was very modern, SUPER clean, and very relaxing. it's like a Spa there. They have thought of everything like having iPhone chargers in each suite. I was nervous at first but that lasted only a few minutes. The benefits I have experienced in just two sessions is nothing short of miraculous. Obviously since I joined Yelp to write this review. After my first session, I felt recharged and I slept so well that night. At my second session I relaxed and I came away feeling even brighter and stronger from the massive hydration effect. It is VERY affordable and I purchased one of their packages. There is a recommendation to do a number of sessions like 6 during 6 weeks which is a jump start kind of approach to getting healthy. I decided to do that and then come once a month or so afterwards. I now consider this to be like getting a spa treatment. Especially when I travel so much. It only takes an hour. My naturopath doctor told me that he gets nothing but positive news from the people who actually go there and have the treatment. So thanks to him (guess I better write him a Yelp review!) , and to CleanseMarin, I am feeling really really good and not tired anymore. Don't be afraid and try it! read more

This was my 1st time ever but I wasn't too nervous, as I know that the local clientele in the area is very demanding and if you've survived here for several years as Grace has, it's because there is good word of mouth. There was plenty of parking when I arrived, it's in a beautiful location, when you walk in you immediately notice the cool, simple elegance and good taste in decor. Grace is super sweet and puts you at ease. Everything there was VERY clean, very hygienic, the equipment was A-1! Grace even brings you a hot water bottle for your tummy if you'd like. It's a very gentle procedure, working on gravity, not on pressure so it's very safe and you can stop the waterflow at any time if you want. There are plenty of bright white fresh towels for you, and a little shower hose with warm water with which you can spray "down there" afterwards, but you stay very clean the whole time, and the equipment constantly removes any odors so no need to be embarrassed about anything, and there are extra towels to cover yourself up with also. While I was there I noticed repeat customers which is a nice thing to know but not surprising at all. Grace will give you a glass of probiotics to drink afterwards and then some herbal tea if you'd like. I felt several pounds lighter afterwards and would definitely go again, and I would recommend CleanseMarin to family and friends. If you are new to colonics perhaps consider another option. I have had a few, but only with a therapist in the room. This time I was alone and not really knowing what to do, it was pretty scary for me as I didn't feel like things were explained very well regarding the dials and how to operate the machine. At one point the pump shut off as the temperature reached 108 leaving me wondering what on earth was going on. Post treatment I felt extreme nausea and later that evening had a stomach ache so bad I was doubled over and could barely speak, let alone get my children to bed. Next day I had diarrhea and blood. While these are side effects that aren't common and no one's fault, I did not feel like I received anywhere decent follow up from Grace. I tried texting but she insisted I call, but I could barely speak I was in so much pain. Perhaps not actual negligence but rather, I felt, neglect and appalling follow-up. It would have been less traumatic to buy a $10 enema kit from Walgreen's and do it myself at home (and save myself an enormous amount of money...) read more

Let's face it, a colon cleanse isn't on anyones list as the most pleasant experiences to sign up for - which is why it is so astounding that Grace, the owner, makes it so pleasant! Let me paint the scenario...you walk into a cozy spa atmosphere, are greeted like you are family from a lovely warm darling woman who makes you feel cared for, important, and as comfortable as if you were in a high end spa. The entire experience is very detailed - everything you need to feel comfortable, and the feeling that she really cares for you (which she does!). Even up to the last minute when you leave, you are spoiled with tea and probiotics to care for your newly cleansed colon. I was hesitant to drive at first from SF to Marin as there are other places in the City. Once I went, I saw why all of my fellow cleansers in SF were making the trek.
