Then Kyle changed me $175 to change the water stops as he could not figure out how to turn them to cut the water supply, so I could have water in the rest of the house. He promised to come back and fix everything he broke, but he stopped responding to my texts and phone calls. I had to hire a different plumber who got everything fixed what Kyle broke. Martin was recommended to me by Yelp's request a quote function. He was one of the few plumbers on the recommended who was willing to give me an estimate without having to send someone over first. The price was fair and Martin was responsive in scheduling a time the same day I contacted him. The plumber on Martin's team that I worked with was knowledgable, professional, and worked quickly to replace the fill valve within 30 minutes. We weren't 100% sure if that would fix the problem since this appeared to be a slow leak so they were willing to hold off invoicing me and ordering additional parts just in case the fill valve wasn't the issue. Luckily replacing the fill valve did the trick but I appreciated the gesture anyways. Still waiting to figure out how their payment works since I received an online invoice with an option to pay online. Anyways they did a great job and I would recommend them for toilet repair.

One, as soon as they showed up they began acting like they didn't want the work. They balked at the fact that I live in a condo within a 3-unit HOA that I would need to coordinate with, and argued with me about the process of gaining their approval (while the numerous contractors we jointly hired for our renos were walking around.) This is 99% of plumbing jobs in Somerville. If it's that much of a problem, don't bother coming in the first place to charge me $77. Second, the estimate price: astronomical. Twice as much as the most expensive quotes I have gotten for this job. Five figures. If you are a very rich owner of a single-family home, Vaughan might be an option - the ratings here say they are talented plumbers. Otherwise, save yourself the money, hassle, and headache.
