I used Reliable a few years ago to replace my Jet pump with very good results. This year I was having trouble with my well not continuing to hold it's prime. Wow--incredible service. Water line broke halfway between the pump and house and started flooding the yard. I called three places, all of them too busy or no answer at all. Tom was my fourth call. Late on a Saturday afternoon, he jumped in his truck with his excavator in tow and drove over an hour to our house. He dug up our yard in the dark for two hours, located and patched the pipe and had us back up and running before eight pm. Now we know things aren't cheap and they do have to charge a decent amount - but you almost can't put a price on heat in new england. read more

These guys are simply great. I had Tom install a well pump at my place a few years back and he did a great job. Besides suggested and implemented some modification that added to the water pressure in my house. Since the installation, my well pump has had issues twice and Tom are very prompt at fixing the issue. He came over the very next day and replaced the pump when it was broken. More over did not charge me a penny for labor or parts since he had given a 5 years warranty. And has also offered to extend the warranty if the pump gets damaged so often. I had to call Tom today because I noticed my well pump was running for over 45 minutes and was making weird noises and getting really hot. Tom came out within 30 minutes of me calling him. Hired Tom/Reliable largely due to the good reviews about communication, responsiveness. We hired him to replace our water softener. initially he responded to the query and install well, but on follow up service requests, he became increasingly hard to communication with, often taking several calls over a week or two to get a hold of. Said he was "busy" and gave him a pass. Then hired him to perform a water quality test, which came back with several water Quality issues, several of which involved the performance of the water softener he recommended and installed. A softener that has no other local support besides him... He was completely unresponsive, highly unprofessional, and never bothered to return the dozens of calls/messages over the course of several weeks. Long story short, hiring him was a waste of a couple thousand $$, waste of time, and now need to hire another company to redo/resolve issues. I called Tom Talbot at the suggestion of a contractor who I know very well. Our well pump, while never giving us trouble, was nearly 20 years old and I wanted to get ahead of the curve and replace it. Tom and his assistant Donny showed up when they promised they would and were able to locate the well quickly (it was buried) and shortly afterwards sent me a quote. Today they showed up as scheduled and installed a brand new pump, wiring, and access riser. Our water pressure has never been better and we're very happy about how easy the whole process was. This business is great! Last week after working a long day we came home to no running water! Eeek. Being new home owners (only a week), and clueless about wells we tried to trouble shoot our problem. 3 hours later we had no luck and went to bed without that shower that was desperately wanted. Early the next day we called a different well company and were told they could not help us that day. WHAT!?! I couldn't believe it, you don't realize how much you use water until you don't have any. Anyhow, i found reliable well and pump and gave them a call. Tom answered the phone and was super kind. He told me that he had a appointment that morning but would be here as soon as he could. He had me send him pictures of my pump so he would know what to expect before he got here. While on his way to his other appointment he called me and let me know the possible options and how much it might cost. When he got here he was again very courteous and walked me through his plan. He was ready to dig if need be (backhoe and everything showed up). He was able to fix the pump! Yes water! He told us that we should update our system since it was so old and he talked about what he would do. 3 business days later he was able to come and update the System. I seldom write reviews, but these guys are fantastic. Tom Talbot the owner is seriously professional and Lee the master plumber that did the work at my place is top-notch. I had a problem with my water pressure that nobody could figure out. When I had the hot water on in the master shower it dribbled out, BUT, if you turned the cold water on in the sink faucet the water came rushing out, but got cold quickly... The contractor that put the system in couldn't figure it out. The HVAC guy who did the hot water install suggested I replace the mixing valve - $500 wasted dollars - and the guy that built the house couldn't understand it. I had low water pressure to begin with and I wanted a water pressure booster, and did a bunch of research. Tom suggested a different approach and manufacturer - and he was spot on correct. The water flows like a dream now. However, the booster did not initially it did fix the issue of the hot water pressure. Lee the master plumber - this guy is the real deal and a seriously nice guy - refused to leave until he figured it out -- mind you I had at least four other professionals look at this - and charge for their time. Lee ascertained that my master bathroom sink faucet was designed in a way that the higher pressure cold water had the ability to cross over into the lower pressure hot water supply - which was the reason that the hot water flowed in the master shower when you turned the water on in the sink although it quickly went cold as the water mixed in the system! So he diagnosed that the problem must be the hot water check valve near the boiler which was necessary because we had a hot water recirculating pump. And BAM he was correct! He changed the check valve (actually upgrading it so it could be replaced in the future without having to cut the pipe) and the water flows like Niagara Falls! Only charged me the part cost for the check valve - because after spending $2,500 for the water pressure system - Lee was not leaving until the total solution was in place! I called Reliable Well & Pump on the recommendation of Wilmington Pump (they were too busy). I called on a Tuesday, and Tom Talbot was able to come out on Friday morning of the same week. My well hadn't been drawing water to feed my lawn's sprinkler system. Tom immediately diagnosed the problem (the wrong well tip was used when it was installed) and replaced it with a better, stainless steel well tip. It was a hot and humid day, and he worked diligently and meticulously to get the job done. He also noticed one of my sprinkler heads was broken and replaced that, too. Tom was both knowledgeable and personable. He liked my dog and gave her pats, which she enjoyed very much. I highly recommend Tom for your well and pump needs, or to install a sprinkler system. These guys were awesome! About 4 years ago we had our submersible pump replaced by a company we won't mention. Since the installation there was constant air coming out of every faucet. That contractor said everything was working fine and went on his way. I finally got sick of it and called Reliable Well & Pump. They came out early the next morning and found the problem within minutes. The fitting at the discharge pipe was leaking and most of our water wasn't even reaching inside the house. They came back the next business day and fixed our problem. No more air! Later that day I came home and found no water coming from our faucets and called them back. They were at my house within an hour and discovered our toilet was running all day do to a bad adjustment (new toilet I installed)and the well was empty. Woke up this past Sunday to no water. My plumber referred me to Tom at Reliable Well & Pump. Before I had called my plumber, I had called one of the huge well companies from NH and got put on their weekend 'call back list'. Before the other company had called me back to tell me they could be there on Monday afternoon, Tom was on sight and diagnosing the problem. Being a homeowner, I have always taken water coming from the faucet for granted and never thought about the process involved.
