I called All City Plumbing, Air and Electrical because I had diagnosed that my furnace's blower…read moremotor and capacitor needed to be replaced. Jonathan came out and confirmed that that was indeed true. Everything seemed to be going well. Jonathan was very friendly and polite. When it came time for the estimate, he told me it was going to be just under $3,000. That seemed like quite a lot to me for just changing out a blower motor and a capacitor. He also told me that my Rheem furnace couldn't take just any old blower motor and he had to order one special. He said that his company doesn't deal with Rheem because their parts are hard to get. I reluctantly agreed to the repair, which he said would probably take place the next day. Later, he called and said the part wasn't going to arrive for a whole week. This was during one of the hottest weeks of the year in Southern California and I certainly didn't want to be without air conditioning, which runs through my furnace and needs the blower motor. I asked him what my other options were. He told me the only other option I had was to get a whole new system. He explained that he could install the system in only 2 days time or I could wait a whole week and have him repair the blower motor. He also mentioned a 10 year warranty with 1 or 2 years of service from his company. I asked him about the brand and quality of the Furnace that he intended on selling me, which was going to be almost $8,000. He told me it was better than my current system brand and I asked to get it in writing so I could do some research. After not receiving anything in writing I called his company and requested the same thing from them. Shortly after the conversation with his company I received an email specifying the make and model of the new furnace. I researched online and discovered a few interesting things. Number one, Jonathan had lied to me about Rheem parts. I found out from my online research that Reem takes Universal parts and I would not have had to wait until the next week to receive a blower motor that would fit. I also discovered that blower motors and capacitors cost nowhere near $3,000 to install. And finally, the brand of the new furnace that was recommended by Jonathan was nowhere near the quality of the Rheem furnace that I already owned. I canceled the job immediately with the company and again with Jonathan when he called me to find out what was going on. I am still waiting for my refund on the deposit! My contractor friend and I went to an HVAC store and purchased a universal blower motor and capacitor for $180... and installed it ourselves in a couple hours. The system is working perfectly. I don't recommend this business at all. I'm completely confused on why they have such a good rating on Yelp, which is why I picked them to begin with. This was a clear case of trying to take advantage of an old lady in a wealthy neighborhood. Shame on them!! Update: I received a full refund of my deposit and the service fee was completely waived. I got a nice apology from the owner and a manager.

I got quotes from a few places and some were up to double what I was quoted with A&A. Jesse came out and replaced them for my 3 toilets. My house is a few years old and figured I should probably have him also replace them for all of my sinks which would have been 10 more. He told me it wasn't necessary since they weren't leaking and that if I decide to ever replace the faucets, then that would be the time to do it. His honesty saved me money and I appreciated it. I've had issues with pinhole leaks in my pipe 3 times since I've lived here. I recently saw a stain on the ceiling of my garage. A bathroom is just above it. The next day Sam followed up with me and gave me a quote for a water heater install and said he'd be there within 2 hours when I was ready. I told him I needed to discuss with my wife. During this time, I called another local company for a quote and they quoted me about 800$ more for the same exact branded/sized water heater, installation hoses/connection, etc. their warranty was also one year less than AAA was providing. I then called another plumbing company and their quote was even more astronomical than the second company. So I called Sam back after agreeing with my wife that we would proceed with him. He stated he had a new customer in the 1 hour we'd last spoken, but not to worry because he'd still be there same day just later in the afternoon. He provided a time frame and text when he was 30 min out. He arrived and got the water heater swapped out in 2 hours as he said over the phone. We went from having a leaking water heater to a brand new one. It's all up to code and we feel very confident in Sam's work. Additionally, Sam was a very courteous and polite guy. He explained everything and answered every question we had. He never seemed rushed or tried to upsell us anything. His customer service was outstanding.

I was not waiting long for a reply to my text messages, I got very rapid replies instead. To my pleasant surprise, I received a personal call from Louie--the same technician who expertly diagnosed and repaired my HVAC heater back in December 2025 after another company had failed to identify the problem correctly. I hired Henley's Plumbing & Air in September 2024 for what should have been a routine water-heater…read moreflush. During the service, the technician broke the factory drain-valve stem and the repair turned into exposed piping routed through a hole cut into the front cover of the unit. I began sending photos and requesting a proper resolution by November 2024. In December, I provided the model and serial information they requested. Gary, who I understand is the owner, also told me he would resolve the issue. However, I was repeatedly told the replacement parts, including the cover, were difficult to obtain. I specifically asked that the manufacturer be contacted, but the problem was never corrected. More than a year later, the water heater still has a hole in the front cover and an exposed drain assembly sticking out of it. I spent months following up by text and giving the company opportunities to make this right. The original mistake was frustrating, but the bigger issue was the lack of follow-through after the owner promised a resolution. Based on the unfinished repair and the amount of time this remained unresolved, I cannot recommend Henley's Plumbing & Air.
