Every piece of equipment that is used is sanitized immediately. When you ring your bedside call button the nurse comes in a timely manner and meds are delivered on time. We were told by doctor's hospital that my mother was not a candidate to qualify to go there while in fact she was. We questioned the system and called Encompass directly. Encompass had a representative in my mother's room at doctors within two hours pre-registering her. If you have the option to go to this facility, don't let them send you anywhere else!

In the evening I asked if he had his medications and they said "oh no they hadn't arrived yet, maybe by tomorrow morning" the experience just snowballed from there. He was put in a room with a roommate, which a day a half later I found out was being tested for CDiff, a highly contagious intestinal disease. They called me around 10 am to say that they needed to transfer my dad to another room. When I got there at 4 pm he was sitting in a wheelchair and wasn't allowed to go in his room and still hadn't been moved to the new bed. I asked how long he had been in the wheelchair and the nurse told me "all day because he can't go in his room" The employees here are absolutely useless. They do not know what is going on and are quick to blame someone else. I would not put my worst enemy in this place. I took my dad home against medical advice! Beware! They do not care about the patients at all!

No staff member would take any patient property, if it was lost, it was probably lost by the police during their struggle to apprehend the patient who was endangering themselves or others at the time they were taken into custody. Furthermore, nobody here was placed in restraints without them trying to hurt themselves, other patients, or staff members. The whole "they tied me down for no reason" rhetoric is garbage. You were restrained for safety purposes. I agree that SOME of the staff might not be as friendly as they could be, but dealing with drug addicts and people trying to hurt them all day has a tendency to make people standoffish. Patients come here because they need psychiatric help, not because they want a five star vacation. During my stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. I was never abused or neglected. I got the help I needed and I am alive and well today as a direct result. If you are thinking about hurting yourself or you are dealing with a psychiatric emergency, these people have the tools to get you through the tough time. Don't hesitate to turn to them for the help you need.
