What helped me make my decision was when I talked to actual residents. They love living at Bethel - and several mentioned how everyone feels like family - from the staff to the other residents. One particular resident shared with me that she actually had no living family left, and that Bethel was her family. That was very comforting to know that Bethel gives its residents more than just a place to live, but a loving home.

From the very beginning, the staff made this transition as smooth as possible for both my mother and our family, and we could not have asked for a more supportive environment. The holiday seasons were truly special at Bethel. The halls were filled with beautiful music, festive decorations, and thoughtfully planned activities that brought so much joy to the residents. These moments became cherished memories for us, as we watched my mother light up with happiness. Every person at Bethel contributed to my mother's well-being--from the friendly faces at the front desk to the dedicated staff, housekeepers, and maintenance team. They treated her with such warmth and respect, making her feel at home each and every day. A special thank you to Pricilla, my mother's beautician, who went above and beyond by sending us lovely photos of my mother after each hair appointment. Those little touches meant the world to us. Our family will deeply miss Bethel and all of the wonderful people who became a part of our lives. Thank you for everything you have done for my mother and for us.

I was assured she'd be less exposed because they don't let anyone in or out. I felt comfortable and placed my mom here. She became Covid positive within a few weeks. My mom was refusing her medications so they called my daughter one evening to come give her the behavioral meds she needs. I find out this is all supposed to be a big secret....They had her come in the back door and asked her not to tell anyone or they would lose their jobs. I wonder how many others came in the facility this way....possibly the main reason of the Covid out break....My mom was in the hospital for a month. I wouldn't let her return to this place! I received a full refund from the administrator. This place does not have certified or licensed nurses! In my situation it wasn't a good decision. My mom had dementia and couldn't fend or speak up for herself. Especially when loved ones can't check on them because of the supposedly lockdown.... Carla and owner knew of this. My mom has since passed but I want to let others be aware of homes and facilities. My opinion these places need at least an LVN to supervise staff in the evening!

I've loved living here with my 2 beautiful cats who have enjoyed their private balcony on the 2nd floor. The food!!! Chef Cesar and his staff, prepare 5 star meals like none other. Food service aims to please the most finicky resident(s). The Victory Bistro staff and operation is outstanding (the chocolate cookies are to die for). The monthly brunches, monthly birthday celebrations, weekly Happy Hours are always well planned and outstanding. Not only in food and service excellent but decorations by the Activities Group are over the top in creativity. We have free transportation to appointments, shopping and even to visit nearby relatives. The Housekeeping and Facilities staff do their upmost to insure our comfort at all times. Our 24/7 receptionists are extremely pleasant and always helpful. We are blessed to live in such a place. I wish I had moved here sooner.

This facility is the worst place ever they treat there employees like shit. I worked here and…read moretechnically still employed here but I hurt myself pulling up a patient and was placed on light duty and because I didn't do a worker comp claim the chose not to put me on light duty. Instead they told me I can't go back on the schedule until I'm released from light duty but I have a pinch nerve on my spine so I'm not gonna be released no time soon, cold part about it I use to worked doubles all the time and I did 1on1 which is light duty. Crazy then another thing last year when my mother was dying I asked for fmla so I could spend every moment I had with my mom they didn't have the papers in the facility and I was told my job was in jeopardy for missing to many days. So the last week my mom was on earth I had to come to work instead of spending all the time I could with her.Another thing I was in the hospital a few months but and the Scheduler Kim Nally call saying am I coming to work and I asked her what do you want to do roll my 2ivs over there and work.Kim will look out for you only if you pick up shifts when she has nobody to come in but if you don't jump for her expect to get called off the next week.Laura the adon is lazy I don't understand how she's still employed there and they just promoted her. You give her a complaint and she say ok she will do something about it and don't do a damn thang. I remember once I told her a patient wanted to talk to her and she walked right past his room turned her head and keep going never to go in and see what the patient need. None of the higher up care about the patients. We work with limited supplies half the time the patients don't even have briefs they pass the out like Rations.Colleen the dsd by far is so confused at everything she does and she loses important paper work. Highly unprofessional. The kitchen staff is horrible and the kitchen staff supervisor is rude. They will send the patients food out with no condiments and when you go and ask them for some it's like world war 3 to get it. Like cmon now the patients should be able to get what they ask for they pay to live there.More than half the nurses and lazy and ignore the patients you'll tell them a patient is in pain and they'll literally sit at the nurses station and won't move. On top of that I have a feeling they are racist they had a black admin and let her go now they have admin they come in for a few weeks then it's a new one. The old admission lady felt we was been forced outta her job and quit and she's black.Theres like 3 other black ppl been mistreated including myself.Thats just something for you to think about when choosing the hellhole.Worst part able it is when state comes the fake like everything is in order helping pass trays going into patients rooms acting concerned, but as soon as they leave everything is back to regular program. Like what a joke.I personally wouldn't even allow the dog to stay here. They have 1star rating which it needs to be a -0 And another thing there was a well qualified nurse that applied for the dsd position but instead of giving her the position they gave it to Laura a person that doesn't do shit. Makes you wonder. Another overly qualified Rn which is excellent by the way applied for the adon but instead of giving it to him they hired a new person .When this Rn is the best. He does rn work cna work admission work adon work and any other work that needs to be done.He actually cares about the patients and is trying to make this facility better. What needs to be done is all the higher up need to be fired and they need to bring a whole new team in the there that actually works and care about their patients and maybe then this facility would have a fighting chance.

There was a CNA there which was rough and rude to my mother and we requested that this lady not be able to go in her room and they said ok they understand but the next day she was in the room being rough again and had never stopped going in. The administration and social services needs help they don't do their jobs at all. There are a few really good CNAs and nurses there but the therapist did nothing for my mom and that's what she was there for. They would work on her arms which she needed to get up and walk. I'm sorry I wouldn't bring anyone who I loved to this place I think state needs to come in and check them out and speak to people who have been there or are still there. Plus I think they need to know how to communicate with all the departments. Oh and my mom had an ice machine that she was supposed to have going all the time every time we went in there was no ice in it and they didn't know how to work it and all you have to do is put ice and a little water isn't hard at all.

If you are looking into care here, don't be mislead by their predatory and inaccurate prices…read morelisted. I received a referral from "A Place for Mom", who stated that their prices "start at" $4.5k/month for a shared room, and $6k/month for a private room. The correct prices are $5.5k/month for shared room, and $7k/month for a private room. When confronted about these price differences, The Grove doesn't control the prices listed through "A Place For Mom".... Yet they are partnered with them. There is also a $3,000/moth "Community Fee" that was not advertised anywhere. Additionally, they claim "Our services are all inclusive. This means that all of our residents' needs are met for one monthly amount. Unlike other care homes that utilize a point system to add charges to their monthly amount, we do not assess additional charges for any added assistance. Our residents' families appreciate the predictability of one fair charge per month for all services their loved ones receive here at The Grove." This is NOT accurate. They nickel and dime for basic needs and things they list as amenities. In addition to their $3,000/month community fee, they charge $300/month for Medication Management (what individual needing Memory Care could possible manage their own medications???). Medication management is a NEED, which should be included if they actually follow their "all inclusive claim". They're even charging residents to watch Television, making them pay for Comcast, which they don't even give a set price for. We won't be going any further with them because of their predatory pricing. They are taking advantage of desperate people. Disgusting.

I want to take this opportunity to commend and acknowledge the wonderful staff at Memory Lane Manor…read morefor the phenomenal care they provided my dear Uncle Norman Silveira until the end of his life. My 94 year old uncle was the most honorable and honest person I have ever known. He was loving and caring and his favorite activity was anything that involved his family. Unfortunately, Uncle Norman was diagnosed with dementia, accompanied by sundowners. His behavior changed so drastically that he was unrecognizable, even to himself. In his lucid moments he even apologized for any past or future behavior because he honestly had no idea when or why he acted out. His two daughters, my cousins, were dedicated to helping him live out his life with as much dignity and freedom as possible. What none of us could have ever imagined was that there are so few facilities that are able to adequately and safely care for someone with his condition. He was asked to leave 2-3 facilities, even after they assured his family that they could care for him. In the end, options for his care was very limited. After much frustration and sadness, my cousins were finally and mercifully led to Memory Lane Manor in Modesto, California. The staff at Memory Lane Manor, led by the phenomenal Consuela Hozan-Farcas and her team of angels, lovingly cared for Uncle Norman where other facilities failed him. Due to his condition, he was extremely difficult to handle at times. He presented some great challenges to staff that required extra time and effort but they offered it willingly and compassionately. Consuela and her team treated my Uncle Norman with respect, dignity and compassion and extended that care to our family as well. It is one of the most stressful and sad situations a family has to deal with to see a beloved family member reduced to a shadow of their former selves. His daughters worried every moment of every single day, until they discovered Memory Lane Manor When Uncle Norman ended up in hospice care, Consuela, members of her staff and even her husband and children came to visit Uncle Norman and they even attended his memorial. That was above and beyond the call of duty, and much appreciated by his family. Memory Lane Manor provided great comfort during the most trying time to my Uncle Norman and his family. Our family will be forever grateful to this amazing group of people for making sure his final days were filled with compassion, safety, respect and dignity. With utmost respect and gratitude, Shar Silva on behalf of the Silveira family
