The staff was very kind and understanding of my deafness, the doctors came in and were very kind to point out I seemed to have some medical background myself and rewarded me for my interest by writing everything down so I could further study. I was able to get a prescription without pulling a leg and arm for a Retinoid and I was trusted to know what to do. My skin is glowing now and over 90% of my chlorine rash is gone as well! read more

On my first visit I saw an MD. Every visit since then has been with a PA. I am convinced that the blue light treatment recommended for my face has made things worse and ruined my skin. I recently pointed out a spot that will not heal and the PA took a sample for biopsy. When the results came in I received a call (on a Thursday) and a message was left. I called the next day (Friday) , twice) and was told a "collegue" would return my call that day. Didn't call. Monday was Labor Day. I called Tuesday. Same result. Called again Wednesday and was finally connected to someone who did not identify her credentials and spoke with an accent that made it difficult to understand her. When I asked her to identify herself we were disconnected. I agree with another reviewer that the local office is not who is answering the calls. I am going elsewhere. Hopefully, they can repair the damage done. read more

Everyone in the office is nice but no one follows through on any plans regarding your medical care. If you're waiting for any sort of answers they will not call you. You have to leave messages for weeks and then hit them with all the bad reviews online to get someone to reach out. This dermatology clinic uses an answering service in another country. It's very obvious. I called around 11:30a and 2:50p and got an answering service. This has happened in the past too. If there's a way to get ahold of the office directly then I'm unaware. They also use computers to call and leave messages. The problem with this, besides the obvious, is that the computer delays about 1 second before talking. This is all the time I need to determine that a spammer is calling before I hang up. read more

My husband has suffered for months with a skin allergy . I finally talked him into seeing a dermatologist because I thought they chould do allergy test. My husband made an appointment and said at the appointment, the doctor recommended a cream for the itching pain and specifically said it wasn't cancer, (we didn't think it was anyway). The doctor said he wanted to do a skin punch to test for cancer anyway (not sure why since he said it wasn't cancer) . My husband being the person he is, didn't ask why and thought the biopsy would give light into what the allergy was. 2 weeks later he received a call saying the result was negative for cancer and they wanted him to come in to go over the results, so another appointment to determaine what allergy test to take (this they could have done the first appointment but didn't.) We also received a 500.00 dollar bill for the the skin punch ! My husband was shocked because he was NOT told it would cost more and thought be had paid for the appointment. I called and disputed the bill with no results or even a sorry. This clinic took advantage of my husbands vulnerbility of trusting the medical professionals and did not disclose at the time of the appointment that the skin punch would be more. This was my first visit to Clear Choice Dermatology, and I met with Dr.McAllister. This was not a positive experience because: 1. I was told to remove all clothing except for undershorts. This is standard procedure for a skin check, BUT...when the doctor entered the exam room, he brought in three female assistants, all crowded into this small room, and none of them wearing masks. I felt like some sort of specimen provided for their entertainment. This was humiliating and was done without any warning. 2. The doctor, after a cursory exam, suddenly asked one of the assistants for the liquid nitrogen "gun" and, without discussion regarding any lesions or anomalies, simply said, "You've had things frozen before, right?", then immediately proceeded to freeze some areas. My assumption was that he either did not think I was intelligent enough to understand what needed to be done, or he simply did not care. 3. The treatment he recommended was not effective, although my condition is not uncommon, and proper treatment should have been obvious. (I finally got some straight answers from Chat GPT!) All things considered, I did not feel comfortable with this doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone. read more

Sadly I would never recommend this group. I am a knowledgible RN and was treated so disrespectfully by the PA, that I would not recommend them at all. I had 4 biopsies, only one was positive-the one I originally came in for-the rest were chosen by the PA and were benign. Either he was not very good at his observations and chose 3 benign spots because of lack of experience or he knew what he was doing ($) and chose to biopsy anyway. In all the visits he spent no more than 2 minutes explaining anything. I can't imagine how he must treat patients who are afraid or nervous and don't have the courage to ask questions. read more

Of the four dermatologists I've seen this office is the most efficient and caring! The process for cancer treatment takes time. Dr. Blattner is the most skilled Mohs surgeon I've met! He's considerate of his patients and the appearance of the skin after surgery. I've seen 3 Mohs doctors, Dr. Blattner and his colleagues get my vote! read more

I would not recommend this clinic at all. The wait time was far too long to initially be seen by a dermatologist. Then I received a call from their front office person telling me I had a bill of $29 and I had to pay it before I could see be seen for the next office visit. I explained to the the front office person, that I had already paid that bill and it was for a small container of eye cream. She transferred to a biller and the biller assured me I did not owe this money. Then, this same lady contacted me when I was literally in the parking lot at their office for a scheduled appointment. I was three minutes early in fact. She informed me that I couldn't be seen because I was seven minutes late. She said, those are the rules and they have to be followed. I explained to her that I was early to my appointment and then she would said she would check on it. I wouldn't even have seen a doctor that day I was just getting a very short procedure done. So, being upset I told her, I'm canceling all of my appointments with your office. The practice manager did call me back to apologize, but I felt I shouldn't go in because of being told I couldn't be seen. I don't like my time being wasted and I didn't like it when someone in their office didn't believe me when I was telling them the absolute truth. Even if I was late, which I was not, they should have been more understanding about that. read more

The doctor was great and nice but his office staff and billing department are extremely rude. The billing manager he has is not a nice lady at all and she'll laugh at you if you call to make sure they received your payment online. also the office staff don't know how to do their job right they billed the wrong insurance for me which made it so I had to pay a lot of money when my insurance should fully cover my visit. I highly recommend not going here and if you do make sure they're doing their job right and screwing you over. read more

I made a skin check appointment while I was staying in the area over the summer. I had to fill out a bunch of documents online before arriving. Once I arrived, I had to fill out more documents on their Ipad. I sat in the waiting room for 90 minutes watching others who arrived after me walk on in. I asked what was up at the front desk and they basically forgot about me. Once I was in the examination room, the nurse asked what my issues were. I said I wanted a skin check especially on my arms. She never gave me a gown. When the doctor came in, he asked why I was there. I told him when I made my appointment, I told I thought I was getting a skin check but obviously not since I still have my clothes on. The nurse & doctor left the room and before they closed the door I could hear the doctor say "Why was she waiting for so long in the waiting room?" Their excuse was that I needed to fill out the paperwork even though I had already done so online. They did find a possible issue on my arm, but that came back negative. Before I left, I paid for the service. Then 2 months later, I receive another invoice that does not reflect my original payment. After calling them, they still cannot provide an explanation as to where my original payment went. read more
