We received Erika's information from someone else in our office who has ordered a lot of awards & presents from her, so we drove over to pay her a visit. Design Etching recently moved from their original location on 22nd street to 3rd street now. All the work is done at her house, and immediately after we visited she set to work making our personalized, custom gift. It was done less than 24 hours later...with no rush fee! Very reasonable, I love supporting local non-chain businesses. You can work with her while she sits at her computer and design exactly what it is you aree looking for. We designed a specialized military coin holder made out of special Arizona sandstone...and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. From some of the other items I've seen at her home, she does coasters, name placards, etched alcohol bottles...pretty much anything you can think of. We'll definitely be back!

We thought we wanted the current Air Force logo on the box, but the owner/designer did her homework and found the Hap Arnold 1940's USAAF logo which is the correct logo. People are knowledgeable, know design, friendly, personable. If you need something engraved, by all means go to Design, Etching & Awards.

I really never do reviews, but this experience was unbelievable. I have never had such blatant ****…read morecustomer service. I had sparkletts quite a few years ago in Phoenix metro area and never had a problem with them, the driver I had was great. This is when it was Danon Waters, I'm not sure if its a different set of owners now or if COVID broke their take on what's important, but something is wrong with this company, at least here in flagstaff. So, I have been going to Sedona water for a few years since we moved to Flag because there is no water store in Flag. A bit ago, I thought I would try delivery service. I didn't want to be driving to Sedona forever. So I look at Sparklettes and see they deliver to my zip code, so I set up an account online and start to schedule service. Their online setup wont let you just order bottles, it forces you to get a cooler as well... I don't need it (I have my own cooler) but ok fine, its $4 a month, ill get one. Well, the day comes for my delivery... no one ever shows, but I see on my account, that it was delivered. The next day, I call their 800 number and they go through and tell me we will reschedule you for tomorrow and have a rep from flag contact you today. No rep contacts me that day. The next day, their driver, Travis calls me and states he delivered my stuff to building 5 up on the hill. I question why he delivered to 5, when I clearly put Building 4 on the Driver notes and 5 is right next to 4, not up on the hill (this was a blatant lie, the guy never delivered at all). So he tells me to text him for future stuff its easier for him sometimes as he is busy, ok, I'm fine with that, id rather text. So when I get the cooler, I find the cold doesn't work, So I text him. He says try and unplug it and let it sit for 15m and plug it back in. Ok I do that, text him back Friday evening, this cooler doesn't work. In the mean time I check my account and now see that I have two coolers and 6 bottles of water charged to me.. What? So I text this to Travis also. This guy never responds. Monday rolls around, I text him again at 8am about the cooler, he replies after a bit stating he can probably get it to my on wed, maybe Thursday. what? WTF kind of customer service is this? So again I text him about my account having 2 coolers and 6 bottles charged to it... the guy just never responds back, Thursday rolls around and he finally texts back stating he was sorry, he can get the cooler to me tomorrow. I'm done at this point and call the 800 number again. I explained what happened to the CSR and their non existent care for the situation pushed me over the edge with dealing with a total lack of customer service from all fronts and I decide there I would cancel. They set a date for the driver to pick up items... of course he never shows till two days later... Maybe I'm old school, but I believe in bending over backwards to make something right for a customer when things don't go well. I would never recommend them, unless they got rid of this lackadaisical driver and did some CS training to their staff.

I had them deliver water for 2 years to our summer home. It took many phone calls to both start and…read morestop delivery both summers. It got to the point that the regional manager had to intervene to get anything done. In all fairness this issue may be a Flagstaff management problem. Even regional managers had difficulty getting the local managers to return phone inquiries. Mere customer service reps had no chance of response. I spent many hours on the phone trying to fix the situation, it cannot be fixed. I pay more for water now but do not have to waste time and frustration trying to deal with a rock of a system. Save yourself the aggravation, go somewhere else.

Valley Environmental Resources - Current plumber shared that VER just illegally tapped into existing drains and lines in the attic and hid with insulation.

VER was recommended as part of a "customer referral" campaign. Salesperson was super amiable,…read morepitched super hard, and all the usual things. Cost seemed high at about $8k for the system, but the big pitch was the lifetime warranty as opposed to the usual 5-year, the monthly "hassle-free" maintenance, $500 relocation and reinstallation if we moved, etc. I've worked with contractors, but I know nothing about plumbing - so I was sold on the lifetime warranty and monthly maintenance for the "hassle free, never have to touch it" aspect, so we went with it. Crew of three guys came in, plopped it down, started drilling and soldering, then took off. They ghosted us almost immediately after the install, and they shut the doors within three months. I actually pursued a BBB complaint, but was told that since they shuttered their doors, not much to do. The unit just went completely dead, so we found another plumbing company to come out. Unfortunately, that just added fuel to the unethical fire. Tech found that VER didn't vent correctly to code and did two illegal patches in the attic rather than run the lines properly. Basically just threw it by the water main and tapped in the attic to get it done quick and take off. They also gave us a pretty basic unit for a massively inflated cost versus what other units were available at the time. Now I'm another ~$3k in the hole to have a legit company fix what they broke and install a unit that will actually do what it's supposed to. And we're clearly not the only ones. So not only did they bamboozle customers on their warranty and service value-add pitch, they did illegal work and bailed. Absolute scam. Unfortunate that they shuttered the business and skipped town to avoid immediate repercussions/penalties, but hopefully the owners get some kind of karma for screwing over homeowners.

We had our water softener system installed in April 2022. Typical sales pitch, but my mom had a…read moresystem already so we didn't need to be sold on it. I do love our water system because water in Arizona is rough. Valley Environmental said they would call to schedule a one year maintenance check on our system. My husband started calling and emailing in April and no one would answer. By the end of April we hadn't heard from anyone. We found out that the business closed early 2023. How rude and unprofessional to not tell your clients that you are closing. Especially when you promise future service on the system. My husband happened to come across a former employee of theirs in review comments. He came and did the maintenance on our system and changed the filter for cheaper than Vally Environmental advertised. He was very nice and I'm so glad things worked out with him. After we had already scheduled something with him, someone reached out to us from another company that appeared to have Valley Environmental's books. Seemed a little sketch. If Valley Environmental had told us in advance that they were closing and selling their books we would have booked with them. The frustrating part is that we now don't have a lifetime warranty on our system since they are closed. Terrible customer service.
