I just hiked Mt. Bierstadt with my brother and we needed a place to stay in town. We needed one quick too because we were both exhausted from hiking on the 14er. We found this place which was so cozy, so clean, so beautiful. Our room had such a beautiful view of the mountains. I absolutely loved this cozy inn and the town, Georgetown, was so quaint and quiet too. I'm definitely coming back here. I loved my stay and my experience. We had a gorgeous balcony connected to our room which I thoroughly enjoyed! It was perfect! The staff were very helpful too. Also my room had fresh coffee grounds to make coffee in the morning! I was so pleased with everything. There was no air conditioner in my room but at night the air was cool so we were able to get our room to a perfect temperature. I highly recommend this inn! I also didn't eat breakfast there but word on the street is that it's amazing! It smelled delicious! Thank you so much for the experience! I'm so excited to come back!

I made an account just to write this review. I stayed here in December of 2019 and the Clear Creek Inn is easily the best spot in summit county for cozy mountain lodging. I stayed in the alpine suite, with a private balcony, and was absolutely stunned. What Lloyd and Sam have done to this place is unbelievable. The moment you step in the door you get that feeling of coming home. Fire roaring, glass being blown in the studio, delicious meals being made and many great people around enjoying themselves. The hosts certainly do an outstanding job catering to all of their guests needs and go above and beyond expectations. I would and will recommend the Clear Creek Inn to anyone headed to summit county for a peaceful getaway with great access to some of the best skiing off 70. Don't forget, there's a hot tub on the roof with an excellent view to to wrap up a long day on the mountains. Hope to stay here again next season!

The venue is air conditioned which is not typical for glass blowing shops (at least that's what I have been told) so that's huge as even with it being air conditioned in there, it was still pretty hot. They have a wide variety of items to make and take home (pipe, air plant holder, shot glass, marble, plant water feeder, etc). They also limit about 4 person per instructor so you're not spending a lot of time on downtime. The biggest thing to mention here is that Miles, our instructor, was phenomenal! He made sure we fully understood everything and was very personable too. I would give Glass Class 5 stars just for him!

The basic experience gives you hands-on experience selecting the frit and fusing it into a glass bulb. From there, the staff help you to form it into the shape you want -- ornaments, terraria, shot glasses, pipes, you name it. The staff were very friendly, very sociable, enthusiastically supportive, and good teachers. We worked a lot with Miles, and he was excellent. The overall experience ran for about 2.5 hours (plus I'll need to drive over tomorrow to pick up the final and cool glasswork), and it was enjoyable from beginning to end. I look forward to future visits.

Agnes's glass studio is the opposite of franchised fluff. It's a living, breathing space of craft, care, and quiet mastery. Blowing glass is hard work with way more risk since you are working with molten glass. Agnes isn't following a manual. She has decades of experience. She knows what needs to be done, what you need to, what is safe, and what is above your skill level (that means some tasks are going to be done by Agnes). She has a deep respect for the medium and during your session, you will attempt to do the same. Yes, there are some old Groupon era reviews floating around, but let's be honest: those deals were coercive traps set by intermediaries who didn't care about the sustainability of small studios. Studios were pressured to offer steep discounts that brought in volume. That's not a reflection of her work, it's a reflection of a broken model. What you'll find now is something far more rare: a studio that trusts you to learn, to make mistakes, and to create something real. Agnes doesn't coddle, but she does empower. She's generous with her knowledge, firm when needed, and quietly celebratory when you get it right. What you will likely learn: gathering, marvering, color application, jacking, inflation, shaping, rolling, paddles, expanding, transfer to punty, and annealing. If you don't know any of these terms, you would do yourself a favor by catching a 10-15 minute video on YouTube before heading to class. If you already know all of this, Agnes may be able to create a higher level course around incalmo, battuto, or flameworking.

One person made an orb that the instructor, Agnes, demonstrated the glass blowing technique. The whole process from start to finish was amazing, a little nerve-wracking at times (working in a hot environment with spontaneous glass) but overall a fun thrilling experience! Agnes is extremely knowledgeable. She shared with us her studies in Italy and how she has dominated in a predominately male field. She runs her own business and sets her own hours, so at times she may not be quick to respond but was a great communicator in class and afterward when we scheduled pick-up of our finished pieces.

Second to saying yes, hiring the Duchess of Denver was the best wedding decision we made! From…read morespending hours truly getting to know us, to having all the right connections, to gracefully navigating a weather pivot on our wedding day, Alex surpassed every expectation. My husband and I knew we wanted to create a unique, beautiful wedding experience that we, our family and friends would cherish and remember. We'd wanted elements of a traditional wedding weekend but one that felt fun and not like every other wedding we'd been to. We also knew that, as a busy engineer and lawyer, we had very little knowledge about what goes into a great wedding and very little time or desire to learn the intricacies of "the perfect wedding." Alex spent hours asking probing and fun questions. He really got to know our visions, desires and quirks. There were so many times when we said things like "we want a dinner the night before, but not a typical rehearsal reception with people standing around at hightop in a bland conference room." He absorbed all of it and turned it into a fabulous weekend. Alex's encyclopedic knowledge about James and Rebecca was invaluable when my work got super crazy a few months before the wedding. When I told Alex that I could do big decisions, but the little ones, like choosing ribbon color or envelopes for invitations, were hurting my brain, Alex stepped in and planned everything based on what he knew about us. Alex found us a breathtaking space in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, he coordinated flowers to match my colorful dress, helped pick perfect delicious meal stations that suited a variety of dietary needs, organized the music and stayed on top of the hotel until their 3,000 square foot Parker suite opened up. Alex interviewed and found the best make-up artist, designed hand calligraphed journals for our guests, and created guest bags that with fun and useful things. I could go on and on! Alex's management of every detail meant the weekend ran smoothly and everyone was happy! He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. So many of our friends and family have said that ours was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended. Ok, ok, maybe they have to say that, but in this case, I think it's probably true! We would recommend Alex to any couple, especially successful professionals who want to create a first class, memorable experience (but might now have the first clue of how do to it).
