I'm a single mom who saves for a long time to take my son on special vacations. Unfortunately, this stay ended in a way that caused unnecessary stress and completely overshadowed our trip. Our flight was at midnight and checkout was at 10 a.m. Late checkout was only offered until 2 p.m. for $50, which didn't work for us, so I paid for an entire additional night. I expected a smooth and stress free departure. Communication was terrible from the start. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes, and no one ever told me that my key would stop working or that I needed to get a new one. After leaving for a couple of hours, my son and I came back to pack, eat, and get ready for our 5 p.m. shuttle. Our key did not work. We were locked out in freezing temperatures with food, luggage to pack, and a shuttle we could not miss. I had to call multiple times, and it took over 30 minutes for someone to arrive and let us in. The stress this caused, especially with a child, was completely unnecessary. On top of this, the unit itself had multiple issues. It was extremely cold inside, and even with the heat and fireplace on, it never warmed up. There was a very loud, constant noise in the room, possibly from the heater, that made it nearly impossible to sleep. The unit also smelled musty and stale, and brown tinted water came out of the sink, which was very concerning. Despite these issues being clearly unacceptable, Summit Cove refused to accommodate us in any way. I wasn't asking for a full refund. Just some acknowledgment or care. The manager wouldn't even speak to me. Keystone is wonderful. Summit Cove is not. I would never stay with them again. Even some of their own workers said it's the worst company they've worked for, which sadly matched my experience. read more

3rd time we stayed with Summit Cove for the Annual Keystone Bacon and Bourbon Festival. The first 2 times the place was pretty decent. This time I rented a 3 bedroom so our guests could have their own privacy. We checkin after the festival is over because the checkin isn't until 4PM. The place reeks of smoke, as if everyone they stayed there smoked snd it was listed as non smoking. Decent layout, but i could not handle the smell. The kitchen was 20x worst, I don't know how to describe it, but it was worse than the smoke smell. The place was about 85 degrees inside and yet it was only 75 outside and there are no air conditioners. I called to let them know and they supposedly tried to find another place but could only find a 2 bedroom or 1 with 2 beds and a bunk. They were only going to reduce the price by $50. The fact that they could only find a 2 bedroom it wound have been more than $50 less than we paid. The inconvenience should have been worth more than $50. A smaller place was not acceptable for my guests. So we opted to leave and get a full refund. Of which I've not received yet and it's been 7 days since we were there. I get the property is potentially independently owned, so you can't control what the people do, but as a property management company it's how you handle issues that makes a difference and that is the reason "I'm out" on Summit Cove. I only posted 2 pictures there were major stains on the carpet in several places. Everything just old and worn. In reading reviews here it appears I m not the only one who had issues with their rental unit at Summit Cove. We stayed in the Silver Mill building this past weekend for MLK and the only positive thing I can say about this experience was the location and proximity to the village and ski lift. Other than that the unit was completely run down in too many ways to list but of most importance, from 2am until 7am all three nights I was there it sounded like a remote control car was crashing into the wall every five minutes. This woke us up every time so for three days we never truly got any rest. When I called and informed them of this complete disruption to my stay, they offered me a $25 credit. Such a joke. Don't stay here if you value sleep, or if you don't pack your own towels because they don't provide any at the hot tubes which was fun. This management company needs to hold a meeting and realize they are in the customer satisfaction business. If they have issues they need to deal with them and compensate accordingly. Instead, they took zero ownership and barely even cared that we, their guests, were unable to sleep because of an out dated heating unit that sounded like a parade going off all night. Title: Great Location, But Needs Serious Updates Rating: (2/5) We were really looking forward to our ski vacation at this rental, and while the location is fantastic--just a short distance from the slopes--there were quite a few issues that made our stay less enjoyable than we hoped. First off, the construction happening nearby was a constant annoyance. The noise from the mass development started early in the morning and continued throughout the day, which partially obstructed the beautiful ski mountain views we were hoping to enjoy. You can still catch a glimpse of the mountain, but it's not quite the serene, panoramic view you expect when booking a ski getaway. It was frustrating, especially considering the price we paid. Also, don't be fooled into thinking this is a true ski-in, ski-out property. While it's close to the gondola, you'll have to walk a bit to get there. After a long day of skiing, it wasn't as convenient as we had hoped. That said, there were a few positives. The beds were very comfortable, with high-quality linens that made for a restful night's sleep. The kitchen was also well-stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, which we really appreciated. However, the furniture was a letdown. The dining table had bench seats that were incredibly uncomfortable. We tried to sit down for a meal and play some games in the evenings, but we could barely tolerate it for more than 20 minutes. The couch was just as bad--no support, very low backs, and overall uncomfortable. After a long day on the slopes, we were hoping for a comfortable spot to unwind, but this didn't deliver. The carpets throughout the property were in need of serious attention. They looked dingy and worn, and the overall feel of the place was a bit shabby. It definitely felt like the property could use a deep cleaning and some updates to make it feel fresh. Overall, while the location has potential, the lack of comfort and ongoing construction were major letdowns. For the price we paid, we expected more in terms of quality and relaxation. Unfortunately, we wouldn't return unless there were significant updates to both the property and the surrounding area. Furthermore, the secured parking garage is a joke. The door was open all week we were there, anyone accessing it. We witnessed people parking in there and skiing just for the day. Not to mention,the construction workers parking in there. We are only supposed to have one car in the garage per unit (even our 3 bedroom unit) but multiple cars had just pieces of paper on dash instead of permits. read more

This business does not accept Emotional Support Animals. This seems to violate the Colorado FHA although they've told me they've spent inordinate amounts of money on attorneys to back up their position of denying access to people dependent on legitimate ESAs. NONE of their properties allow pets or will accept ESAs. I was just going to book, knowing the FHA, but decided to call out of consideration and was told my family would not be accommodated by their company at all. If you care about disability access and inclusion think twice about supporting this business. Very disappointing and disconcerting. read more

Less than 24 hours after I left I realized I had left some things back at the property so I called their housekeeping, left a message and 10 days, I still haven't heard from them. I also called the office three times, talked to three different people, three different days, they said they would help and follow up and none of them have called back. Great experience with SummitCove. Our condo was delightfu My friend and I rented a condo using SummitCove. We found their pricing to be reasonable. (I mean, it is summer.) They also provide easy-to-understand information about the rental. My friend was able to share information with me easily. Some of the policies are... Interesting but you know beforehand so you can plan around it. Our condo was incredible. We had a wonderful patio. We had access to an indoor pool and hot tubs. We could walk about 10 minutes and be on walking trails. Our condo had three tvs, board games, and a DVD player. The kids loved the room with the bunk bed. Mind you, I said above the information about the rental was easy-to-understand. Picking up the keys was confusing because of conflicting addresses in their information. Keystone is small which makes it even more frustrating. Don't let this deter you from renting. Just confirm the key pickup address prior to leaving. read more

Summit Cove Lodging is a wonderful facility for small and large groups. It could not have been any better. We had a family reunion with about 40 people and this place was perfect. The location was a one minute drive from the Mountain House Lodge at Keystone, so it was super easy to get on the slopes for skiing. The only recommendation would be to update to better quality pillows in the property as they weren't very comfortable, and you can hear everyone walking around on the second floor as the walls are thin, which is no fault of SummitCove. read more

This condo is amazing! Everything in the condo is beautiful and in excellent condition. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with all of the necessities (dinner ware, cookware, seasonings, cleaning supplies) and there are TV's in all of the rooms. The location can't be beat - just a 5-minute walk to the gondola and main chair lift at Keystone. Walking distance to many great restaurants. Quick and painless VRBO action without actually having to deal with a homeowner... like a cross between booking a hotel and planning a visit with a friend (except the friend isn't going to be home). Summit books all kinds of places around Keystone and was super helpful. Actually, they were the first response to a number of VRBO inquiries I sent out and called me back on a Sunday. Their promptness helped me make a quick decision to jump on the condo they recommended, which while nice itself, wasn't really in the greatest building, but still a very short walk to the lifts. Upon entering the building it immediately smelled musty and of cleaning fluid. The room smelled similarly. I had no hot water for the first morning which I reported but the following morning also had no hot water. The complex is much in need at the very least of a facelift. It's just very old and tired. I do not recommend staying here until something is done to update and take care of the hot water situation. read more

What an AWFUL experience! My sister rented Prospectors home 669 for 2 nights for my nieces wedding. When we got there the door code would not work so everyone had to come and go from the garage. The Wifi was not working and we were told it would not be available for our stay. The washer and dryer had a "not working" sign on it. The worst was when we came back from dinner to a flooded bedroom. Water raining from the ceiling. I found the leak in the upstairs ice maker and shut off the water. We spent the next few hours with towels and buckets trying to dry the room out. We called SummitCove and they said they would send people out in the morning. The whole night water was dripping from the ceiling. The next day the bride and her maids were trying to do makeup and hair with maintenance men with loud machines were sucking up the wet carpet. What a nightmare. When my sister asked for a discount for all the trouble all they would give back was 10%. She paid over $2000 for 2 nights. What a Ripoff! I would be careful when you rent from Summit Cove Properties. You might have get ripped off too. read more

The Springs condo at Keystone has definitely declined in 2 years. Kitchen counter and floor were dirty upon our arrival. Tub had dirt in it . Inadequate kitchen towels, dish cloths. One of the 2 outdoor hot tubs was lukewarm. Had an unexpected guest for one night and summit cove was unable to provide a spot for a second car for one mid week night in the garage. Garage was 50% occupied that night. Had to pay $25 for outside parking and move car at 6 am ! read more

I booked this for my sister on July 29 and when she needed to cancel the next day, I was first told there were no cancellations within 10 days. When I pointed out that we were more than 10 days out, I was told that actually, there were no cancellations period. Don't tell me there is nothing you can do because that is our policy, then change the policy from "no cancellation within 10 days" to "no cancellations period" The charges were $536. She had to change her flight and checked in per the rental agreement. The condo is nicer than your average hotel but hotels allow you to make cancellations up to 24 hours in advance. Next time, I will book a hotel before I will book a non-refundable condo with Summit Cove Rentals. read more

Great unit, great location, and great portfolio to choose from, BUT...you can easily get that with any rental company. Summit cove is a rental/property management company, so this review is purely based on their customer service - which is most representative of their customer interaction. When you spend several hundred dollars a night on a rental, you expect to take advantage of all amenities advertised. If those amenities (not just one, but multiple) are not available, as as advertised when you sign your contract, arrangements should be made to compensate. After contacting Summit Cove, Justine found every excuse available as to why it was not their fault and proceeded to play the blame game. In her opinion, it was my fault for not reporting it properly!!! Hot tubs are broken. The condo's thermostat is inoperable. Pool table is missing balls. And more. After exchanging a few emails, she proposed a $50 credit towards my next stay. NO THANKS!! I will not be using Summit Cove again! What good will that $50 credit do me when I rent with another company?!? I politely replied to try to work out something fair for everyone involved, but Justine was not willing to work something our...or even reply to my email!! BEWARE. You have been warned. read more

I think that booking a condo with SummitCove is a very smart idea. Most of the condos that they manage in the Keystone area are offered at very good prices and a majority of the time, the cheapest that I have found. Prices of course vary depending on when you are trying to book but the range can be from a $450.00 studio for a 4 day stay to a $1,200.00 one bedroom for a 5 day stay. Keep in mind that the units they manage are all very different. Some are extremely nice while others are very dated and rundown. With this company, I have booked to stay at the Dakota Lodge located in the River Run Village, the Slopeside Condos located in the Mountain House area and then at the Gateway Lodge which is the same building where their office is located. I had different experiences at each of them and it's safe to say that you will get what you pay for in regards to comfort, location and the amenities that are included. Make sure to do your research on the specific condo unit you are looking at before booking! Something to be wary of is the travel insurance that they automatically include when booking online. If you don't want it then make sure to call to get it removed. It is not a mandatory thing to pay for in order to book with them. Another thing is that they do not provide cleaning services but if you do want it then you can surely pay for it. They have quite a few rules when checking out such as throwing out the trash, setting the thermostat to 60 degrees and making sure that you lock the doors when leaving etc. I have never been charged a fine but at the same time I don't want to incur any extra fees so I follow whatever rule they set, no matter how inconvenient it may seem especially when I am on vacation. The customer service I have received has always been excellent and I cannot fault them if I end up unhappy with a specific condo unit. They do not own the properties, they just rent it out. I don't think that people should complain about how far the office is for checking in, which is right by River Run by the way. That's pretty unfair since even Keystone Resort has their check by their hotel lodge and not by the condos. Book away if you see a good deal with SummitCove. They offer a 10% military discount and 25% off your ski or snowboard rental with Mountain View Sports which is right across the street from their office. read more

Do not recommend Dakota Lodge 8503 in Keystone. While it's in a good location and getting the key was easy, this private condo is much smaller than other's I've stayed in at Keystone, the bed mattress is very worn out (had to sleep on the couch), the shower water pressure is terrible, the humidifier leaked everywhere (had been taped, which obviously won't work), the TV is much too difficult to figure out, even with the guidance provided, and the fridge is unbelievably noise (which isn't good when you're sleeping on the couch). Also, the room numbers don't coincide with the floors so finding your room takes stopping on each floor of the property...no signs from the parking garage. While responsive, SummitCove refused to compensation me whatsoever for the poor experience. read more

We rented a unit in Expedition Station in Keystone Village and this management company charges a lot for cleaning fees and property management fees. When we got to our unit, the sleeper sofa bed was filthy and then when we actually opened the bed up it was even more filthy and had stains and crumbs all over the mattress cover. It looked like the cover had never been taken off and cleaned. We called the company and they sent people over to remove the cover and give us a clean one.... thank goodness!! But for how much they charge for their cleaning fee, the place should be spotless and it wasn't. We also had a problem with the TV not working in the master bedroom, and they did send somebody out to help fix that too. It was all just a big inconvenience dealing with these issues. read more

We came to Keystone for skiing and needed a place to stay. Summit Cove had a 4 bedroom condo for us that slept the 10 of us. It could probably sleep 16 total. The place was big and had plenty of room for all of us. There's a private hot tub in the condo. The Pros: It's right across Highway 6 from Keystone and if weren't so lazy, we could have walked. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We didn't have any problems with the wi-fi or any of the kitchen appliances (though the toaster could use replacing). It has a master bedroom with a huge bathroom, a room with two bunk beds and two other rooms with what looked to be king sized beds. There were 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was small but accommodated us just fine. There's a 2 car garage. There's a dry sauna too. The Cons: The humidifier they provide doesn't seem to generate enough humidity. The toaster is really cheap. The vacuum cord is really short (8 feet max). The garage barely fits an SUV. The provided "firewood" does not burn. It will light up and then snuff itself out. It's just wood that has been cut into firewood but the type of tree is not the right type. We were there for 3 days (Friday to Sunday) and cooked two dinners and two breakfasts. I think all in all it came to about $1600 for the 10 of us for 3 days. That's pretty good for a condo of this size and quality. read more
